It was a good run but now after the last visit my wife and I are calling it quits. The other girls have all left and the quality is just not the same. We wont be back

The best manicure by Connie and best pedicure by Tammy. The nail salon is very plain, but the service is excellent. Waxing is great too by Connie. Best to make an appointment as there only 4 women doing nails. Best prices. Nail polish selection is a bit limited, best to bring your favorite colors and brands. The ladies aim to please.

This place is tiny and crammed full of stuff, both on the walls and every available surface. It’s not quite in the league of hoarders, but if you’re prone to claustrophobia it could be an issue for you. There are three spa pedicure stations and five manicure stations, as well as a small waiting area, a rack full of nail polish, and a television suspended in the air playing soap operas and Dr. Oz. The massaging pedicure chairs were clean, but as I relaxed and started to look around the place didn’t look too clean. There is paint peeling off the ceiling and dirt and grime clinging to the higher reaches of the walls. I dropped in here on a whim with my mom, my sister-in-law, and two of my nieces for the mani/pedi experience. The ladies were very friendly, but the atmosphere was lacking. I will say that the prices seemed dirt cheap, which may explain the lack of attention to the atmosphere. A spa mani/pedi is only $ 24. A manicure by itself is $ 9. A spa pedi with callus treatment(NOT callous treatment ;) is only $ 20, and they offer a wide variety of waxing treatments that are also inexpensive. The ladies did a good job on our feet and fingernails and didn’t rush us to get moving, so we were able to relax in the massage chairs while our toenail polish dried. My polish chipped a little within two hours, but everyone else’s looks great so I’ll still give them three stars for an A-OK rating. Just realize that the rating is more for the great prices than for a great atmosphere.

I decided to do my nails last minute and came to Wondernails. Although it isn’t the nicest looking place, they have good service, very affordable prices, and seem to be very clean. I spent $ 26 on a French manicure & pedicure.

Im still a faithful regular, but thought I give my fellow Unilocalers an honest review update. If you’re looking for a pampering fancy shamancy nail salon — this place is not for you. I dropped a star because the place is worn down and i’m not crazy about their nail polish selections. * BUT* the service and prices continue to be solid. The girls are friendly and hardworking. Mani/Pedi rates are now $ 20(still best priced in Fairfax District) Closed on Mondays

WORST Mani I have ever had. Pedi was fine. I know this place is cheap and you get what you pay for, but you will end up paying more in the end having to get your nails redone. They do not sanitize their tools, but you could prob gather that from the look of the place. I hate writing bad reviews so I’ll just bullet point it. — It only took them 30 min to do a full mani/pedi so sloppy is what I got — Polish has bubbles in it — Nails have noticeable areas where it is missing polish on the sides, and the polish that is there wasn’t applied evenly. –Cuticles are dry and still have skin sticking off — I prefer square nails and she did round without asking me — There was a fly circling my face the whole time and as I put on the $ 2 slippers a baby roach was by my feet :( I’ll attach a pic of my nails, just so that you know this isn’t just an exaggeration

I’ve been coming to Wonder Nails for about 8 years. I’ve had manicures, pedicures and waxing here. As far as neighborhood salons(read: not fancy) go, this place is great! The staff is extremely friendly; I get greeted by name each time I visit. They have a great selection of polish and now offer gel manicures. Their prices cannot be beat. I pay $ 22 for a spa(massage chair) mani & pedi and usually add on a 15 minute leg massage for $ 10. I park at a lot half a block away and they validate for the first 30 minutes.(The parking attendant is super nice as well.)

I needed a quick fix on my nails and I wasn’t in the mood to spend $ 50 on a mani and pedi. So I decided to try this place out after looking at some reviews on Unilocal. The place was empty on a random weekday at 5:45. The mani and pedi i think was only $ 25, super cheap in my book. But you definitely get what you pay for. The place is kind of dirty and raggedy, but the ladies are pretty nice. They did a pretty good job on the nails portion, but they pretty much skipped over the massage part. The polish looked good, but my nails began to chip after 4 days. Kinda disappointing. Probably won’t come back here again.

Ive been going here for a year now. you can’t go wrong! i really believe this is the cheapest place in LA. $ 17 for and a mani and a pedi. $ 8 for eye brows. $ 5 for lip. $ 15 for arms. all around great. cant beat the prices, seriously!

This is a great place! Connie and the girls are awesome. It’s only $ 18 for a mani/pedi and $ 8 for eyebrow waxing. The best thing here are the facials, only $ 30, and they do extractions. I gave my mother a gift certificate for her birthday and now she goes every week. The best thing about this place is the staff and the prices. The atmosphere is local nail salon and not spa. The parking is a little hard to turn into but they validate for the first 30mins and it is free on Sunday. It can get really packed on hot days and if you want any waxing or facials done you have to wait for Connie; she is the only one there who can provide those services. You don’t need an appointment but it is good to set one if you are getting a facial. Connie is usually off on Mondays. Only down side is it can be a little hard to understand them sometimes. They are always up-selling their services regardless of how many times you go there but it is a local haunt where the staff remembers your name.

This place is the best in the area(near Melrose & The Grove)! The girls are super sweet and always remember my name. They have great polish(OPI and Essie) and for $ 17 reg mani/pedi, you can’t go wrong! For a spa mani/pedi it’s only a few bucks more. My nails always looks great and the polish last for at least a good week. They do an excellent job and are extremely thorough. You can also call them to let them know you’re coming and if you’re tight on time, they will do both your mani/pedis at the same time. Also, there’s usually parking on the street but remember to feed your meter. If not, there’s a parking lot few stores down and they’ll validate up to 30mins. i think.

Hit or miss experience in terms of service – sometimes they love you, sometimes they don’t – but, the quality is always good. I had a mani four days ago, and it’s still going strong. No chips despite scrubbing floors. Okay, so I didn’t scrub floors. It was only a slight exaggeration. Seriously though, even after lighting firecrackers, the nails look great. I like a good resilient nail. Hmm. That didn’t sound quite right. Re-state. I like a good, resilient manicure. The prices are very affordable, but channel 7 is always on dial – so if you don’t like Oprah, don’t go at like 3pm on a weekday. Otherwise, I recommend.

I go here about once every two months or so, yeah, I know, I’m not an upkeep queen. I do enjoy it and the prices are reasonable, 11 for a pedi, 15 for a spa and 8 for an eyebrow wax. They could use better colors, which they used to have. No idea why they don’t replace the nail polish, but the job is good, the people are nice and it’s a relaxing treat once in a while. If I can get myself overthere…
