Amazing raw crabs. We’ve become regulars for when the weather is mild to warm and nothing better than a healthy mix of seasoned raw crab and rice. Would highly recommend on this dish alone.

I honestly really like this place a lot. If I have to compare it to Ondal, I would definitely choose Ondal, but this place is worth a try. Came here on a Sunday afternoon, we missed the parking lot so we parked on the street. Walked into the restaurant and we were greeted by the workers. We ordered Ahgoojjim(Monk Fish with Bean Sprouts) Spicy, and oh wow. It was really delicious. It comes with so many side dishes, my mind was blown because everything tasted so good. What I really enjoyed was the marinated spicy raw crab! Corn cheese and kimchi pancake also comes with what you order, but for $ 5, you can get more. The lady was really nice to us. She gave us kimchi, and it tasted like my mom’s. My mom’s a chef so I am very picky with my food. You can ask them to fry rice for you in the end, and I highly recommend that if you aren’t too full.

Oh. My. This place is so good. The five stars is purely for the food. The service here needs a bit of work but the food made up for it. We got their agoojjim the large size and mmmmm so good. The fish was nice and chewy and plump and the seasoning was perfect. The fish to bean sprouts ratio small but it was good nonetheless. We also got their spicy seasoned crab and I want to steal their recipe. It’s the perfect amount of spice. Not sweet or salty. The crab flesh just melts in your mouth. I was so sad that it was over. Parking here is a little tricky. There is a small narrow driveway into the parking lot and you enter the restaurant through the back entrance. I wish their serving size was better but honestly can’t complain because they have good quality food

So disappointed! I ordered the steamed crab and in the pictures it looked so nicely served, ours was tossed with so much bean sprouts. It was such a mess and only two small crabs. Which was 60 dollars. We also ordered the seafood soup, again with pounds of bean sprouts. The crab must have been frozen because I was so hard to get out of the shell and dry. The soup flavor wasn’t anything special. We spent almost 150 dollars and it wasn’t worth it. Also we asked for rice a few times before they finally brought it and it wasn’t served eight row like some others had said. No fried rice ending either. Poor food and lacking in service.

honestly, the seafood stew is overpriced for $ 59. its $ 59 for the smallest. the variety of seafood was VERY limited and i really don’t know what seafood we paid for… the crab stew might be better option for the same price. like most of these seafood stew places, the banchan is of more premium items and was good. the noise level is deafening in here because the ceiling is so high.

My friend and I came here in the afternoon on a week day. It was the perfect time to come to avoid the crowd and parking issues. The parking lot is in the back but the entrance is very narrow so you must be careful not to scratch your car. We walked in and felt welcomed by the waitresses.(Usually when you go to a Korean restaurant where everything from store sign to the menu is ALL in Korean, you might not get the best service since there’s a language barrier). We ordered a soy sauce raw crab and a pot of spicy crab soup for two of us. The side dishes are delicious!(There were about 8 different side dishes) they taste fresh and home-made. The raw crab was phenomenal! It was amazingly fresh and so soft and easy to eat. They serve you with a bowl of seaweed and fish roe of rice to eat with the crab. You get a little bit of raw crab and a little bit of soy sauce, mix it up, and you get the most wonderful invention of seafood and rice ever! The spicy crab soup was so delicious as well. We ordered a mild spicy one after reading the previous reviews about how spicy it could get. It is served with bean sprouts and many little sack of some organ from the fishes. I should warn you about those little sacks. It is very very very strong. The sack will explode in your mouth after you bite into it and the bitter juice will consume your whole mouth… I was in 5 seconds of shock and silence after my first try. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. It is considered a delicacy in Korea and the word is people actually fight for those little bitter sacks of juice. I will let you guys be the judge of that. Lastly, it is an amazing restaurant with amazing food and if you are a foodie you must come here and try. The bill came out to be $ 96 for both of us which was okay because it is so delicious and fulfilling. It is okay to treat yourself out to a nice meal once in a while.

First of all, there is parking in the back HOWEVER, watch out for the super narrow way getting into the parking lot. Seemed to be free parking when I got there but when I came out, there was a valet guy setting up. For dinner, the three of us ordered HAEMOOLJJIM, spicy level being the«regular» or boh tong. GEEZITWASSOSPICYSTILL… so unless you’re really tolerant with spicy food. I suggest letting them know about having it less spicy. OH i forgot to mention that the side dishes that come out with your entrée is FANTASTIC. so yummy! After you eat, they make fried rice for you with the leftover soup/sauce you have from your dish. This is an extra charge tho… and also if you want to take home your left overs. they charge you for the to go box too. Over all, the food was good but all these extra charges and parking was honestly, a bit annoying. I would have given a 5 star but because of that, ill leave 3 …

It’s was good. The raw crab in soy sauce was really good with eggs inside. It was too salty ally all, it was perfect. I also enjoyed the spicy raw crab that came compliment with the meal. Service was good, we can in around 3:35 and no one was there except us. I enjoyed the rice that they mix after the meal, I thought that was the most delicious part of the meal.

We were hankering for some raw crab, so we decided to try this place last night.(The name of the place refers to crab and monkfish) The crab(koke) is small-sized crab, not the big, Dungeness kind(I believe it is blue crab in English). We ordered their small crab soup/stew and an order of soy sauce marinated raw crab. The soy sauce marinated crab was a bit disappointing. For 28 dollars, you get one raw crab, and you could tell it wasn’t so fresh. The seasoning was good, and I loved that they give you a little bowl of rice with nori, masago, and veggies that you can mix the sauce in and eat it like bibimbap. That was delicious. But the crab itself was just ok and not a lot of meat in it. The stew was $ 59 and it was a big pot of spice with 2 crabs in it and lots of soybean sprouts. Soybean sprouts was good, but I wish they had a little more green veggies. The soup broth was pretty good, right amount of spice, and the crab was full of meat and sweet to boot. The stew was much better than their soy sauce crab. They fry the rice for you at the end, which was just ok. I have to say, service was nice and friendly. The owner was very welcoming and attentive. With a bottle of soju and 2 bottles of beer, we spent $ 120(before tip), and I don’t know that it was worth the money. I did like their banchan and the service, so if someone wanted to come, I would, but I don’t think I’d be back otherwise. I didn’t try their monkfish, so I might want to try that next time. tip: Parking is available via a very narrow driveway north of the restaurant. Valet for $ 2. tip: If you pay cash, you get a little discount off the stews, $ 55 instead of $ 59 for their small stew.

I’m very disappointed about this place. I was so excited to go to this place after checking on Unilocal, trust me it totally opposite with 5 star good review… They close at 11pm, we was there at 8: 45pm on Saturday nite, but when we got there it no one in the restaurant, just me and my husband… i feel a little weird but still want to try it… We order Spicy blue crab soup… and i did make sure it come with steam rice with the lady working there… – 2 Star just because they have a good soup, BUT the blue crab NOTFRESH at all, it SMELL and the TASTE so BAD… – BAD customer service… after they give me the soup they even not come back to turn the fire off or ask me anything about the food. I have no change to ask about steam rice… — Before pay, i tell the lady i didnt have steam rice, and she said«why you dont ask me» with her voice so rude… NEVERCOMEBACK.

I have tried their spicy steamed monk fish, spicy crab soup but my favorite dish here has to be their spicy galbi jjim(steamed ribs in spicy soup). Its about $ 47 for a very large portion that you can share with 3 people but not enough 4 people in my opinion. Upon ordering, you are served many side dishes including steamed squid, steamed broccoli, potato salad, corn cheese, seasoned spinach, kimchi, jellyfish salad and spicy raw crabs. If youre a fan of raw crabs in soy sauce, you will probably like this too. I personally dont like neither two but their spicy raw crab had a lot of meat and the sauce/seasoning was not too overpowering. My boyfriend loved it that we asked for another one. Their spicy galbi jjim is why I come here. They are very good and has a lot of galbi in it. It also has a lot of veggies including green onion, onion, potato, sweet potato, paprika and rice cakes. its so good and the galbi tastes like braised galbi so that its tender and very soft! They also give you the soy sauce with wasabi to dip the galbi if its needed. I like eating them with onion or sweet potato. The fried rice afterwards is the best part of dinner. with a bit of soup, they put rice, dried seaweed, kimchi with sesame oil, it completes the whole meal. After all that food, youll have a food coma. Very full, but in a good way. I think they give you discount if you pay with cash.

1.7 stars Warning: objects look better than they taste!!! Ripped off — $ 57 for a poorly executed seafood dish that we gave to the dog. Ordered:spicy(note: should be red) seafood casserole, small. It was gross, with more bean sprouts, offal,& octopus and hardly any real seafood medley. 2cheap mussels, 2 massively overlooked shrimp, only octopus… Gross and non-satisfying. No spice at all. Ate with an Indian and Sichuan-food lover. Only detected black pepper . Ban chan looked better than it tasted. Commentary patron and corn cheese… Former not crispy at all, latter cheap cheese which did not meld well with the corn. Almost separated when up-close. No English spoken & no sign on door. On west side of street, almost adjacent to the 2-story strip mall. Look for pictorial crab on door and flashing pinwheel. Yuck; total waste of $

Not really my favorite place. Most of the items on the menu are seafood stew or steamed seafood. I do love seafood, but not stews or soup. I tried the spicy steamed seafood(haemool-jjim) and it had a lot of ingredients and varieties of seafood with a lot of bean sprouts. The sauce was perfectly spicy for me, but I thought it was too salty. If you can’t handle spicy, I wouldn’t recommend this place. The only best part was when they made mixed rice(bokkgeum ban) with the leftover sauce with kimchi. You have to pay extra, but it’s definitely worth it!

Who knew! I came here for lunch with Friends — Tuesday at 1230. There was only one other group in the restaurant — they explained everything to us. Just ask for the Crab Stew — I don’t know what else is on the menu — and that is ALL you need to know. The food is made and prepared(truly in front of you) with love and care. Enjoy the experience — it will take some time. Could one person eat it all — maybe — there were three of us and we couldn’t do it! What can I say here that really describes this — EXPERIENCE! Nothing besides stop reading my review and go here! That’s it. I can’t do justice to it, so I won’t attempt(I never give up, but this is more of a translation of my efforts to you)! Look for the neon crab sign, unless you can read Korean! I went — YOUMUSTGO!

Family-friendly, family-style and family-portioned! The menu features different kind of stews, ranging from crab and steamed fish to ribs and galbi, with the options of either spicy or normal and sizes small, medium and large. Prices go from as low as 38 $ for a small sized steamed monk fish stew to upwards of 60 $+ for large sized crab and fish stews(will take a photo of the menu next time!), which is pretty reasonable considering whatever you order will feed your army – one small pot could feed 4 comfortably. PLUS, all of the ban-chan! I’m talkin’ kimchi pancake, steamed egg, pickled something, chilled raw crab in red sauce(absolute favorite!), fresh seaweed, some type of greens, horseradish shredded veggies, broccoli, potato salad and broiled corn kernels with cheese. It’s simply a feast. There will be cold, sweet broth with pickled rice bits, which is inevitably the best thing to follow a very seasoned meal.
