I’ve been coming here for a long time, and I must say the new guy who work’s Sunday nights is a gods send ive had the lemon filled doughnut and I have to say the ratio of filling to dough is balanced before it wasn’t consistent with the other Hispanic guy not the one with glasses or the other«caring» guy, im native mexican(oaxacan), they were good but the new guy he knows his stuff and yea i will continue to come every Sunday night when he works to taste the freshest doughnuts !!!

Donuts and coffee — how could you not love this place? Whenever I find myself on Western Avenue and needing a sugar fix, I’ll stop by here. There’s nothing really crazy exceptional about this spot, but come on, they have donuts and coffee — so life is good.

I come with my friends to this location every time we ride the bikes to Griffith park on Sundays and it’s always crowded especially in the mornings but it’s worth it. the donuts taste fresh and good. The avocado bagel it’s good as well

Very poor. The donuts weren’t fresh at all. I am very frustrated and upset. I really wanted donuts! Never go there at 11pm

Such a dirty place and bad customer service, I was given a chipped coffee cup and the girl refused to give me a new one. She had the worst attitude and the place was disgustingly dirty. I will never take another step in there and I do not recommend this place to any one.

This place is good for breakfast, had my doubts coming here because of the reviews(some high some low) true, you either will like it or not, come during breakfast time, bagels and doughnuts are fresh and you can actually see how they are preparing the doughnuts. I asked for the bagel rancheros and it was really good. The vegetable juice was not bad at all plus a chocolate doughnut, all for less than 10 dollars. It’s a busy place so seating is limited for breakfast so I would recommend to take it to go. I give it a 5 star because it gets busy by the locals and they cannot be wrong.

First time trying this place. Ordered a bagel with cream cheese. Got a burned bagel with a tear drop of cream cheese. The girl behind the register has no life left in her. As I sit here typing this she is starring at me though the glass window and yawning. It’s 3pm right now. Had to ask her 3 times for milk. Asked once she pointed the counter, I told her nothing was there. Then she takes out a big bottle of half/half. I had to tell her i want milk. She looked at me like I’m an a-hole and gave me a little bottle of milk. This is most likely the last visit to Winchells. I’m waiting for the manager to get back to me and apologize, maybe I’ll come back

Amazing donuts. Great selection. Always fresh. Between Hollywood and downtown on Western Avenue before Santa Monica Blvd. Go early for warm donuts.

The pastrami bagel w/bacon is sick! Make a meal out of it by adding a drink and a donut? Yes, please!

«Warm N Fresh» is Winchell’s slogan. Our donuts were anything but warm n fresh sadly to say. We sampled their Maple Bar and Oreo dusted Raised Donut. They were very mediocre. The Oreo dusted Raised Donut was very dry, and one could barely taste the Oreo, which we were really looking forward to. The Maple Bar was a little more moist than the Oreo Donut, but was very chewy, just so-so in taste, and was very poorly presented. They do have a wide variety of donuts, so perhaps we sampled the worst of the bunch? The coffee was decent for a donut shop. The place was bustling, so perhaps the locals know a secret that we are unaware. I don’t think they were there for the donuts, at least the donuts we had. Free lot parking, metered street parking, accepts credit cards.

Great donuts that are always fresh! I love stopping by in the morning to grab a couple. And why I like most is that they have a variety.
