this place is a joke. and misleads consumer. the schedule is wrong. most of their clinics are not clinics but live ball so no instructions even though they are listed as clinics in there marketing. the levels are not as listed on the schedule. after they charged me $ 300 for the season and i took the clinic to find out it was not a clinic they then told me its an advanced group which is not what i signed up for. then they told me i could not be in at group as it was advanced even though thats not whats listed on the schedule and thats not what they told me. then it became an argument in refunding my money. they want to switch private lessons. this is the second time this exact same thing happened. when they think you can afford private lessons they play games and after taking your money tell you that they have to switch you to private lessons or some other creative way to avoid refunding money. save your time and find someplace that has ethics.

Nice, clean, well-preserved, well-lit courts in Westwood. Lots of parking. Do not drive into the Federal building lot next door like I did. If you see the tennis courts are blocked off by a fence, exit that parking structure and drive next door. Courts are near the back of the facility. You will not see them from the street.

I really enjoy the clinics and the liveball — the coaches Matt and David are great — it’s a great venue for the westside

I’ve been coming here for the past 3 years and I look forward to it every week. Very friendly and helpful staff of instructors– worked with Juan, David, Matt, Joel and Alex & each offer a different perspective to improving my tennis. Additionally, classes are fun, intense, & include a range of interesting/friendly people.

Recently the courts have been resurfaced and nets replaced. The courts are now on par with the staff. Excellent coaching for team and recreational tennis. David B is excellent in providing strategy to elevate your game to the next level. Fun classes with a courteous staff.

I can’t believe how much better I have gotten after 2 months of group lessons here. All the coaches are great — especially David. Even in the group lesson, you get individual attention & tips on how to improve. Playing live ball is fun! The time just flies.

The team at Westwood Tennis Center is fantastic! I have participated in live ball classes that have never failed to leave me drenched in sweat. My kids have also participated on clinics, camps, and Saturday round-robbin events organized by the wonderfully enthusiastic Hanna. Juan and David are effective, technically-sound instructors who are equally effective with kids and adults. This is the best tennis resource for the families in West LA!

Five or six years ago, not enjoying the labor of working with a trainer three times a week I decided to stop working out and instead I signed up for live ball tennis three days a week. It was one of the best decisions of my life! I am now a tennis fanatic! The classes are so fun that you don’t even notice you are exercising. There is a laid back but competitive environment that makes it really fun! David and Matt’s expertise have really improved my game!

David and all of the pros are great. The office staff goes out of their way to be helpful. The recently resurfaced courts are beautiful and with a few more clinics, maybe my game will improve!

My daughter has been taking tennis here for 3 sessions now, and the teachers are very nice and always on time. She loves the social aspect of the class. The classes are made for the kids to have fun.

Good Tennis courts, the only drawback is the lights could be a few lumens brighter. But still no problem to play. If you are planning on taking a class it’s very good, private or live ball group. The instructors are very nice and knowledgeable. Also it looses half a star on the noise. It can get loud with the basket ball courts next door.

I love playing tennis and I have been going here for about 2 years. What I really like about this place is that they organize classes according to your level of play with a tennis instructor feeding balls to you. But the major problem is the organization and consistency of the players placement into the correct class. You can have a class one night with 6 players of level and 2 that should be in a lower level, which really throws the class off pace. And the head manager does not correct the problem. The head manager, Samir also does not return calls and does not address concerns as they come up. But all in all this is a nice place to get some cardio and play a great sport in a social gathering.

I’m a tennis player and participate in USTA adult leagues. Our team had a match at the Westwood Tennis Center this past weekend and it’s a nice facility with 8 lighted outdoor hard courts. The courts seem to kept up fairly nicely except the day that we played they were a bit dirty. The park is nice and plenty of parking is available. If I still lived in the area, I’d play more tennis at the Westwood Tennis Center. You can see more info on the center at: Next to the tennis courts are a few outdoor full-court basketball courts. When we were playing our matches, there was some spirited basketball being played with several guys saying«MF this and MF that.» Just in case you bring children to the courts, be aware that you might be exposed to this language. Xie Xie!

What to say, where to start? I haven’t played in more than 20 years … and this summer, I decided it was time to pick up a sport. Running for 4 miles a day was starting to take a toll on me … and it started to become mundane. I enrolled my kids first. Something consistent, something to do. Great program … the girls definitely progressed since day 1. So here I am … contemplating to play here as ITIS more than what I would like to spend on myself, but guess what??? I found myself coming back for more. I was successful finding tennis partners elsewhere, however, I love, love the clinics that they offer here. Being able to play with same level players, better or worse, helped me improve my game. The instructors are great and it truly is a fun activity. I usually drop in weekly — why I don’t just commit myself? I don’t know.
