Kristen has it pretty much right. There’s nothing wrong with the place per se(biggest complaint would be the paper thin walls and the fact that the laundry machines only take quarters), but I would have to imagine for what you end up paying, you could probably shop around and find a cheaper place of comparative value. That said it’s location is convenient as far as being close to campus but it’s a fair walk to any of the actual decent places in Westwood.

UCLA summer sesh! Ah, memories… So the price of this place is fer-shur Westwood, but I liked living here all the same. I dunno if I could’ve put up with a full year of it, though. Its proximity to campus is too close for driving, too far for walking. I set aside a good half-hour to get to my theatre/film classes on the other end of campus. The pool is fairly close to wipe off that afternoon-sun glisten, though you’ll work up an entirely new sweat walking up a killer hill to get there. Parking’s easy enough in the garage, but make sure to warn your friends about street parking! Yeah, yeah, natives are well aware of Westwood’s ticket brigade, but for the hordes of out-of-staters on campus: read the sign every-effing-time! The building is key-card secure(remember: if someone wants in, «Just Say No!»). Cell reception sucks(welcome to every damn apartment in the city). Biggest drawback? Walls and floors are tissue-thin. Not muy good-o for roommates fond of door-slamming when they can’t get any sleep because my bedtime happens to be a few hours later than theirs and I like to watch shows on my laptop at night at a very *reasonable* volume… I also recall an incident where I was blasted awake from a party next door that started(started!) at 7 in the morning. What the f?! Who does that? Honestly, it’s alright, but for the price methinks you’d be better off hunting around in West LA first. Nothing wrong with a little bus ride, eh?
