I dug this place, different food trucks all the time and close to work… Looks liek it no longer happens. Super bummer it was at the core church and cracked me up sitting on the steps eating a gourmet icecream sandwich thinking«Thanks God for food trucks»

** WESTSIDEFOODTRUCKCENTRALISBACK ** After several months of downtime, this fantastic food adventure on the LA-CC border is open again, M-F for lunch and currently W only for dinner. Unfortunately, the truck selection(and crowd) are smaller than they were when it closed… hopefully business will pick up again! I gave it 5 stars for what it could be, right now it would only rate 4. Since re-opening they’ve been updating the website every day and the truck list on the website has been accurate. I’VEBEENTHEREEVERYDAYSINCEITREOPENEDAND I’VENEVERBEENHAPPIER! –enjoy – ! –Gary

This is kind of fun and local. The old bank near my house, closed down many years ago, has turned into an «events center». They have made use of the parking lot at lunch time and for dinner on Mondays and Wednesdays as a truck hub — you know, the old roach coaches! Tonight I stopped by and picked up a Mac n Cheese with Beef, Pork, and Chicken BBQ from the Barbie’s Q truck, a Chicken and Cheese and Banana w/nutella empanada and a coaxhina from the Tabom truck, and a s’mores with nutella ice cream sandwhich from cool hause. All tasty, though overpriced. The trucks vary from day-to-day…but great way to get some variety.

WARNINGIFYOUAREUSINGTHE UnilocalAPPTOFINDTHISPLACEITTAKESYOUTOTHEWRONGPLACE! I made this mistake and paid for it… dearly. Having almost pissed myself before arriving I was very pleased to find the wide selection and amazing quality that can be found at every truck here. Bringing amazing food and cooks to you, on a truck is an amazing concept. Bringing all those trucks together at one convenient location for you enjoyment is EVENMOREAMAZING!

I never thought I could love a church, well church parking lot, to be more exact, but I do. Unfortunately for my soul, it is for a reason completely unrelated to religion. Westside Food Truck Central is conveniently located within walking distance of my boyfriend’s house, so I like to pretend that its actually set up for my dining pleasure exclusively. With a usually wide variety of food trucks, this place offers lunch Monday-Friday and two dinners, Monday and Wednesday. I get a not so secret pleasure from reading their lineup, and going back and forth with my boyfriend on what we want to try. Despite the many delicious dinner places around him, we always check WTC first to see if there is an elusive truck showing up for dinner that night, and are always a little sad when there isn’t. I guess I just feel attached to the gathering since it started when the BF and I first started dating. We were there when they went from just a fledgling food truck stop, with only one night a week, to the full fledged weekday lunch spot it has become today. I have sunk my teeth into everything from Grill ‘Em All, to the Grilled Cheese Truck, to Rebel Bite, to Ludo Truck, and so many more I can barely count them. In fact, I might go as far to say that Westside Food Truck Central has melted my stone cold anti cash heart, to one that actually asks for $ 10 cash back from the store, and has single handily given me an obsession for food trucks. All in all, if you’re anywhere near Washington/Overland during the day or at night, swing by and see if the flying flags are out announcing a bevy of mobile bites.

Westside Food Truck Central, you will always have a place in my heart. Maybe I will even tattoo your diamond logo on my flesh. I was worried… for a few weeks there I wasn’t recieving any updates via the internet, and even though I live a block away, I am way too hungover/lazy to walk over and see what’s happening. In fact, I bought a deep fryer when you stopped updating your site, just to get my calorie intake. But saints be praised, the website is back up and life is good. I could go on and on about how happy I am to have a roving culinary adventure so close to me, but instead I would like to thank Westside Food Truck Central for helping me to get to know and fall in love with a very special person. Before I go any further, no, my girlfriend and I did not meet on line for the Grilled Cheese Truck because I had the«last slice placard» and she wanted one oh so bad so I let her cut in line. We did not meet when I knocked her Ludo chicken sandwich out of her hand. We also did not meet because we both ordered the same thing at Grill Em All. We had already known each other when this lot opened. But because it was so close to my house, we had a routine of Monday and Wednesday nights of walking over to the lot, getting our meals, knocking back a few adult beverages and talking about everything under the sun. When I was trapped on a huge line, we would text back and forth, uninterrupted. If there was something she really wanted to try that was there during the day, I would get it and save it for her. And vice versa if she was at my apartment a night I had to work late. In fact, one of the main promptings for me giving her my spare key was so that she could get me food trucks if I was working late. I have to digress. I am sure we would have fallen for each other naturally, without 4 – 5 trucks each day and 7 – 8 each night, but I am sappy and nostalgic and whenever I think of Westside Food Truck Central I smile wide and my heart sings. Don’t ever take your trucks away from me, or I will seriously urinate all over that church.

Best thing to happen in Palms/Westside. 7 – 8 trucks parked on the corner of Overland and Washington — you can’t miss it. Truck rotations guarantee that you won’t eat the same thing every week. Plenty of seating! Within walking distance to my Palms apartment *sparkly eyes*

Westside Food Truck Central has been slacking… For the first few months after opening they were all over their social marketing. The website was updated daily with what trucks we could expect, they’d hit Twitter up a few hours before lunch/dinner so you could hear it that way too, basically we were always well informed. But recently, not so much. Days go by without a Tweet. Their site just reads«4 – 6 Trucks for lunch, 8 – 10 trucks for dinner» or something along those lines. It’s frustrating, you get used to depending on information and then they take it away and frankly it makes me not want to bother. Funny enough I mentioned this to a few trucks that I frequent and the word back was much of the same, there is one guy hired on to handle the site and Twitter account and he’s just been kinda getting lazy. In a market that thrives on the convenience factor I hope they step it back up, because if they expect me to walk/drive over there just to see what trucks are around on any given day they are going to be waiting for me a very long time. I have an hour for lunch, I’m not spending 15 minutes of it in transport there/back if I’m not sure there is a truck I want to visit. You have a website, you have Twitter, GOBACKTOUSINGITREGULARLY.

This is great. It’s like food fest every day without the admission fee and the long lines.

I am a HUGE fan of the food trucks, and frequented them on a daily basis in Hollywood when they were outside my old office building. After leaving that job a couple months ago, it was to my delight to discover that the food trucks were nary a block from my apartment at the Westside Food Truck Central. Elation soon gave way to frustration, as my user experience at said food truck central was nowhere near on par with that of Hollywood. The food is still good quality, however: 1) With the noise from the generators and the non-stop Overland /Washington cross traffic, it’s often incredibly difficult to both hear the server or for them to hear me place my order. This has resulted in several wrong orders. 2) Slower service. At most times, it’s taken twice as long to receive what would have been the same order I’d have placed when they were in Hollywood. 3) Smoking. The«no smoking around the food truck» rule does not seem to be enforced here. If I’m waiting that long for my food(see point #2), then I’d like to be able to taste it. I don’t recall seeing nicotine fries or carcinogen burgers on the menus. Hehe. 4) Truck Selection: I’m not sure how the portioning out of trucks is decided per food truck central or truck location, however it would be nice to have a bit more variety. It seems the same Indian, burger, kebab or all American food trucks are there. On occasion my favorite, Jogasaki Sushi Burrito, is there, which is great. And sometimes OG Tempura. But I’d love to see the following: — Rokyo Ramen Truck — Shrimp Pimp(more often, please) — Kogi BBQ Truck — Little Frenchie — Dim Sum Truck (just to name a few)

Had to write a review for the greatest thing to come to the Westside! Okay, a little reach but still, you have to be happy that there is a place where trucks can come when they don’t have other stops for the day so that people can discover and enjoy different treats on a daily basis for lunch and/or dinner! They roll out seats and tables in the middle so that people can just sit and enjoy the aura that is Food Truck dining. There is nothing like it at all. They keep up their website religiously so there is no lag in who is showing up on any given day. Since the commit time for the trucks is so short, they usually post up to 2 days in advance of their schedule. Good enough for me. They attract some big players in the business like NomNom, Grilled Cheese, and Grill Em All so the lines for them are ridiculous, especially for Grilled Cheese. They line up before Grilled Cheese Truck gets there and like the PrimaDonnas GCT has turned out to be, they show up an hour late but nobody cares because they have an awesome following. You gotta love it. NomNom and Grill Em All are always there on time though. Parking is good. Turn around is so quick that it never really gets full. A lot of people walk from Sony and other local businesses so that lessens the car traffic. Check it out, meet new people, enjoy different types of food every day, and get some fresh air! You can always work out later!

Easy parking(in the lot — don’t bother with street parking, you won’t be able to find it and there’s no point when you can park right behind the trucks!), reliably good turnout of many of the better trucks, picnic tables. Win. Love.

Good place to go for variety. Each time I went, there was always 1 or 2 new trucks there. I’m guessing they have a schedule for when certain trucks come. Only downside for coming here is that you’ll probably spend around $ 25 per person to get a full meal because portions are a little small and the average for a dish from each truck is around $ 8 – 10.

Great mix of food trucks. Just don’t go when it’s cold. OR, get your food to go. Parking was ample, and that shocked me. Maybe it was the weather. Go with a bunch of friends, order stuff from every truck and share.

Dependable. Easy parking. Plenty of outdoor seating. I can get my Long Beach Roll from the Fishlips truck when they’re here. Or my Banh Mi sandwiches from Phamish when they’re here. Maybe even some Tapsilog from the Tapa Boy Truck. There are usually a few trucks here. Around 7 or 8 at a time. There is never ever a long line to get your food. Parking is easy like Sunday morning. I like this food truck lot.

:(With they gym close for renovation and my recent discovery of WESTSIDEFOODTRUCKCENTRAL, I’m going to have to start running to off set all this food available to me. Westside Food Truck Central is about 1.5 miles from my house. And not to mention that trucks are parked along my work in DTLA on Fridays — I live/work in the DANGER zone. WFTC is located on Washington & Overland — in the parking lot of Core Church. Mon/Wed/Fri for lunch & Mon/Wed for dinner(whew!). Every day could be a problem! I love how different trucks are parked here. There’s a selection of cuisines to try and dine from. Check their website for the schedule of trucks that will be here. Now that daylight savings is this Sunday, this will be a great place to walk to & chill during the summer! I hope this location stays for a long timeI that the food truck craze does not die down.

Can I give this seven stars? Eight? Ten? I love food trucks, but they’re often a huge hassle. Lack of parking, huge lines, erratic schedules, etc. Luckily, this stop in my ‘hood brings us an awesome selection three times a week, therefore giving me the glorious benefit of a high quality food court with rotating options. Cannot recommend it enough.
