This place is closed now. Nothing to miss actually except for their roasted chicken which was good in some days. Their falafel: no comment really as the last time I ate from it caused me stomach troubles.

The food is authentic and beyond delicious. I’d eat here every day if I could. They deliver and the employees there are very nice. I do wish there were more side options and that the prices weren’t so high for the small portions, but it’s a nice little spot to get a quick bite.

This was a go-to spot for me(veg) and my friend(paleo) – delicious turnip pickles, lovely hummus, crunchy falafel. They weren’t always the friendliest, but always super fast and delicious. Sadly, this restaurant burned down(electrical fire, I heard?) just before Christmas – don’t know if it will return, but I certainly hope so.

I have literally never left a review before. We are talking 6 – 7 years of constant Unilocal utilization and order out services. I order out a lot, call me lazy. With that kind of lifestyle, I expect to come across a range of bad food. This is acceptable, as I am relying on cheap, easy delivery. With that said, the food I received from here was completely not edible. I ordered through eat24; a chicken kabob platter and a caesar salad. Everything arrived cold. The caesar salad had equal parts dressing to other ingredients; as you can imagine it was drowning in the dressing, not edible. Additionally the greens used were cabbage, not romaine, ugh??? The rice for the kabob was clearly microwaved, and the vegetables were definitely cheap frozen goods. Pita as store bought, no one bothered to warm it up to even try to pass it off as fresh. I called in for a replacement on the caesar. It was delivered. Unfortunately it was the same story, with dressing on the side. A sad bit of representation for a restaurant. I honestly for the first time ever felt lie I could not eat the food, and I am a ramen/kraft mac and cheese kind of dude. I contacted eat24 customer service, the restaurant only offered to refund $ 3.00. I felt since I could not even touch this food I should receive a full refund. Props to eat24 for good customer service, they covered the remainder. Tl:dr Complete junk, take a look at Cugurt(they are not the best either), but far superior to this joke. Recommendation: Stay far far away! A lot of the good reviews are from long ago. New management? New cook?

Love this place. Good people. So much flavor. Their garlic sauce is the best thing ever invented.

The food is just ok I guess. The meat was dry and burnt could hardly chew it the rice was oily. I gave 3 stars for the service.

Not great. Pretty bad actually and overpriced. Whole chicken was fatty and under seasoned. «Lamb chop skewers»($ 4.99) was a single scrawny and mealy chop-lette. Pickles tasted like they were brined in antiseptic. See picture for the dismal, deflated tiny puck of falafel, soaked through with a white glaze atop a pinch of wilted lettuce.(Didn’t try that one.) Garlic sauce was inoffensive.

Extremely disappointed in both service and food. I usually order from Ro Ro’s Chicken but decided to give this place a try. Placed my order for delivery… an hour later, still no food. I call and it’s not until then that I am informed that the chicken wasn’t ready and my delivery just left and is on its way. Understandable, I did place my order just 30 mins after they opened. I finally get my plate & everything, including the pita, is COLD. I heat up my plate and dig in; the rice and shawarma was extremely oily. The hummus had an odd taste to it, tart almost, and the salad for some reason was spicy even though there was no dressing added to it. Next time, I’m definitely sticking to Ro Ro’s

For a fast food restaurant, this place offers a very good variety with many healthy choices. Having core Middle Eastern dishes with kebabs, Shawarma, and whole chicken plates, everything seem to taste very fresh. The café/restaurant is not too big so it may not be proper for groups, however they do cater. I will go back there for more food. The only thing I didn’t like was the dressing in the salad, and the meat was a bit oily yet tasted amazing.

It is very simple place. Tables just outside. Not fancy but people that served are very nice. We got the order very quick. Food was absolutely fine. They offer free delivery. I think it is good place to order food to home. recommend:)

I am putting Western Chicken on my rotation for take-out and delivery. The food was very tasty and plentiful. The chicken was juicy and the rice was so good. I ate all of it. The salad was not overly seasoned and the hummus was good too. The only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the pita bread. It was something they got from a grocery story. It worked out because after having eaten all of the rice, I was secretly hoping I could say no to the bread. Delivery took a little over an hour from the restaurant to k-town but i ordered during rush hour and the food was good, so I guess it is ok. I definitely recommend this place.

holy moly. The BEST Shawarma I have ever had, in my life. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma to go(wrap, not plate) and I told myself I would have one bite before driving home. Ended up eating it all within five minutes, with chicken juice dripping down my arm and everything. Worth it.

What an odd place. The food is okay and fast. The family member that sits outside is smoking a pack an hour or so. Isn’t there some food handling prohibiting smoking. And they have sign in front no smoking. Lol Come here only if you are in a dire need fix and want to get it super fast and quick. It does have the sketchy drug scene from a movie getup but I’ve been here enough times and lived in this hood to know my places. Solid 3.

This place is just awesome. Have you ever had awesome hole in the wall food that you don’t want to ever go to a sit down spot? This is that place for Middle Eastern food. I always get the 2 – 3 family plate from here. It feeds 3 people really well and gives you a sampling of everything. They are pretty accommodating as well. I was hosting football at my place and wanted to order chickens. I asked for them cut up and they did it no problem. They can get busy but it’s LA after all. I wish I had more hands so I can give this food FOURTHUMBSUP!

5 stars for timely service and for the phone call from shop to notify me that my food was ready for pick up. The food was really burned. The lamb chops were in edible and completely burned. The beef shwarma plate was too salty. Plus my lamb sandwich was good but only had 2 pieces of lamb in it. One piece of lamb was so chewy and full of fat that you couldn’t break down with your teeth. I wish the food would be better or else I would order here a few times a month.

It’s my second time ordered from Western Chicken, at first I was a bit skeptical but my friend said he wanted to order from here and he kept talking about HOWGOOD they are. I didn’t feel like searching Unilocal for more food options so I surrendered, rather easily as well. ;) BOY! Am I glad I did. I ordered the #42(Tilapia well done, fish combo plate, I said no salad, extra hummus please). My modified meal was better than expected, consistency is everything. Good job.

I’ve never got on board the Zankou chicken thing. This is so much better! The chicken might be a little dry but it’s so flavorful. The lamb tastes like lamb without that occasional bad after taste. I was reminicing the taste of m Beef Shawarma plate the whole day.

One thing always brightens up my day at work: Western Chicken. Whenever we need catering for a staff lunch, they always ALWAYS get Western Chicken! Hummus, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, pita bread, rice, salad, falafel, chicken kabob, beef kabob, lule kabob, rotisserie chicken, garlic sauce! I’ve had all these MANY times and it’s always so good. I love the baba ganoush! I can taste the eggplant, and it’s not pasty like I had elsewhere recently. The rice is always soft and flavorful. Everything tastes super fresh! Healthy too so I don’t feel so guilty :) My favorite meat is definitely the beef. It’s grilled perfectly. The chicken kabobs get a little dry sometime, but it’s white meat and I always expect white meat to be dry… They would probably taste a lot better right off the grill rather than from a catering tray. I recommend the rotisserie chicken instead, which goes great with the garlic sauce. The garlic sauce is sooo good, very hard to get the stink out though after you eat… but I’m a hermit at my desk anyway, so I can eat as much as I want! I have actually never been to the location… only catering. It’s probably even more delicious there… drool

Amazing. We were looking for something for dinner that was cheap and where we’ve never been before, we found this place on Unilocal. The reviews were impressive, so we decided to try it. I’m so glad we did! I had the lula kufka holiday special with rice, salad and hummus with pita. The meat was a beef/lamp mix that was seasoned deliciously. The salad dressing was absolutely my favorite. Vinegary but not too much and the pepper was much spicier than I expected still tasty. I had a bite of my boyfriend’s chicken and it was sooo super good, very tender. We pass this place all the time on the way to the grocery store and would’ve never known about it. Shout out to Unilocal for putting it on our raday. They deliver too, awww yiss! I’m a fan!

I’m always on the lookout for good middle eastern chicken kabobs. Western Chicken had been on my list of places to check out and I was finally in the area. It’s off Western between Sunset and Hollywood. It’s in a very small shopping plaza, don’t blink or you’ll miss it. They do have a small parking lot which is helpful in that area. Western Chicken is located in the back of the small plaza. I would consider this place more of a take-out place. You order at the window and there are a few seats under a canopy but it didn’t look very comfortable. My chicken kabob was good. The rice and hummus were really, really good! The garlic sauce they provided was ok — it was a little too heavy on the mayo. I saw that they had baklava which is something I can’t resist and made the perfect ending to my meal. I would go back without hesitation.
