Great lunch time dining experience. A friend ordered the loaded steak fries. The meat had great flavor. French fries cooked perfectly. I ordered the plantain empenada. This is a deep fried empenada with a custard filling and mashed plantains. It’s dusted with granulated sugar over the top. It was really good, not to sweet.

Salvadorian Pupusas were 2 for 7.50 The pork, bean, and cheese one was good. It’s like a bun that has a soft texture and is mushy when you bite into it. It was good for fast food. The second pupusa I tried was chicken spinach and cheese. It was not that great. I did not taste any chicken, just cheese flavor which is then like a quesadilla. Shrimp and potato tacos were 3 for 9.00 The shrimp and potato was fresh and cooked fully. It had a lot of flavor but the tortilla was deep fried and I hated that. I was expecting a soft tortilla taco. Overall, this taco truck smelled better than the surrounding ones so that attracted me and also the cost of the food shown was just right.

2nd time I try these guys. happen to be meeting a friend down south and they were set up for lunch! had 2 puposas and plantains with a drink. Very reasonably priced but same awesome flavors as the 1st time I tried them some time last year. They were in a different truck this time too. It looked way better

Well, I’m just going to come right out and say it: Vchos is my favorite food truck right now. 2 Chicken/spinach/cheese pupsas Fried plantains Tomato salsa and slaw for the pupusas Total: $ 9 Everything is to die for. My coworkers got their Sliders and fries, and loved them. You just have to. Trust me.

I had the V Cho’s Sliders and Fries. The Fries: Fantastically cooked and I love the seasoning they sprinkle on them. It’s some sort of salty-limey seasoned salt. Lovely. I wasn’t a huge fan of their ketchup, seems homemade. Gotta have my Heinz! The Sliders: Awesomely crispy bacon and French fried onions. I had never eaten a burger/slider with curtido, it was great! I liked their spread also. Good quality beef. If they come back to my workplace, I need to try their papusas.

This truck stopped by my work today so I decided to give it a shot. One word: AMAZING. Not only was the food delicious, but it’s the first time that I’ve felt like I actually got a good amount of food for the price. I really hope they come back around here again!

I wandered up to grand park for lunch yesterday when I saw a tweet that vcho truck would be there. I was actually going to try a different truck but vcho was busier and they’re menu had a better presentation. I should have tried the pupusas but honestly I was a little intimidated so I tried the shrimp and potato tacquitos. I asked for a side of fries but it came with beans and rice. I asked the cook for fries and he gave them to me and let me keep the beans and rice. The tortilla on the tacquitos was corn and very crunchy. It came with a side of salsa which was mild. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the potato but it was mashed up inside the tortilla. The mixture of the potato and shrimp was interesting but I enjoyed it. I feel like the potato masked the taste of the shrimp a little. The beans and rice were slightly above average with a salty/mild spicy taste to them. The fries had a light seasoning. I probably should have skipped those because it was a lot of food. Overall I enjoyed this truck and recommend it.

Yummy for the tummy… I had the platano empanada, the outside was a soft crunchy texture. The inside had a custard texture, with the slightest taste of cinnamon. Very tasty. Hubby had tacos, shrimp and potatoes. They were just as tasty as it sounds. I will go looking for this truck again! They said they’d be at Cariso Park on Tuesday night. I’m going for sure.

The food here is so good! We ordered the mango chipotle ceviche($ 9) and the shrimp and potato taquitos($ 9) and they were both amazing. I honestly liked the ceviche a lot more. They gave us a pretty generous serving. The mango, lime, halibut and house chipotle sauce was a perfect mixture of creamy and sour deliciousness. I wish we got two orders. Seriously.

GREAT pupusas. Not overly saturated with grease, so you can taste the fresh masa, and the acidity of the salsa and cabbage salad paired well. Nice owner, too. Support small businesses, yay!

Vchos stopped by my office in The Reserve on a Friday afternoon. I regularly celebrate Food Truck Friday’s and was excited to see that this truck offers pupusas. First of all I thought they had a great deal. Two pupusas for under 8 bucks! I tried their pork, bean and cheese pupusa as well as their chicken, spinach and cheese pupusa. Let me tell you these were very tasty. :) I would recommend them to a friend. As for their service. The gentleman who took my order and served me my food was genuinely friendly. I overheard some people asking him questions about the menu and he was very patient with them.

What a horrible experience this past Wednesday, while at Stub Hub Stadium! After waiting in line for about 15 min. They told us they were out of certain dishes, we had to settle for something we really didn’t want, but had already waited all that time and the second soccer game was about to start. They told us it would be another 15 minutes to wait for our food to be made, ridiculous! If you are that busy why not prep a bunch of pupusas of every kind and sell them as people come up to buy them, you are not serving high end steaks that need to be cooked to request, after waiting those 15 minutes we asked, where is our $ 27 order? Mind you this is for 2 people, 2 pupusas, 2 pastelitos and fries. How hard can this be? We were told 2 more minutes by the lady making the food. 10 more minutes went by as we tried to be patient, we approached her again and asked, where is our order? About 8 orders were serve to people who had been in line behind us, the lady told us «your order was misplaced» really? Why would you tell me 2 more minutes when you knew my order was misplaced? Because you didn’t care to check. By that time we told her, please stop doing any other orders and finish ours, since it is clearly your mistake, the game had already started and we had missed the first 10 minutes already, her response was«I cant do that but I will do your order as soon as I can» she replied, what a joke of guest service, these people don’t have it together, anybody can cook food, but few know how to run a business, when we told the guy who seem to be the owner to give us our refund the only think he could say was, «we will do your order now», we said no that’s ok, we didn’t want to miss the first 30 min of the first half of the game. If you want to avoid getting upset for the lack of organization and competence from this truck, go to the next truck, I can’t comment on the food as we took our money back, no apology offered by the way! I realized that maybe is better I didn’t eat their food, if they don’t know how to treat guests, maybe they have the same attitude towards the food they make for the same guests. Avoid the headache and possible diarrhea

Saw this truck at Stubhub Center on 4th of July and I tried the loaded steak fries. Not much line but had my loaded fries in hand in under 10 minutes. Once I got my plate the portion was pretty good for $ 10. Came with marinated steak which was okay steak but not tender as I thought it would be, was good enough. Now I wish I would have tried their pupusas but at $ 4 to $ 8 bucks a order that seems a bit high. Actually they give you two per order which might not be so bad but then again gourmet trucks are not cheap. Try them out if you come across them.

I’ve only tried this truck once and have only tried one item… the Shrimp and Potato Taquitos. I was very positively surprised! It was delicious! After I ordered my food, they said it would be a 6 minute wait(I chuckled… so exact!). But lo and behold, it really did come out in about 5 – 6 minutes and the food came out hot! I’ve never had El Salvadorian taquitos… I would describe them as enclosed deep fried tacos. The shrimp inside each taquito was so juicy and the potatoes were cooked perfectly and so flavorful. The shrimp and potato filling mixed in each taquito was delicious and it came with 3 of them(pretty filling) and a light salsa to go with it. I would definitely want to try this again or some other items from this truck.

Amazing and authentic Salvadorian cuisine! They maintain excellent quality across all their menu items. Through my group I was able to try the pork and bean pupusa, the chicken pastelito, and the plantains. Loved every single bite. Definitely check out this truck!

Small popusas, Curtido not well prepared, sauce was not spicy, and masa was still not fully cooked. :( It was cheesy which is a good thing, but I couldn’t even taste the pork in my mixta. Paid 3.75 for the popusa and 50 cents for their atm fee.

My mom and I stumbled upon a huge food truck gathering near LACMA and decided to check it. They had a long line(unlike some of the other food trucks) so we figured it would be a positive experience. Unfortunately, our experience was mediocre at best. We each ordered a pupusa $ 3.75 and price was astonishing– almost twice as expensive as the pupusa’s in Orange County, but half the size. Yet, we imagined that the quality may make up for the quantity. We were wrong again. After waiting for 30 – 40 minutes for our goods we eagerly anticipated a flavorful and delicious snack. We choose the pork, beans, and cheese as well as a spinach and chicken as it seemed the two most popular items among surrounding patrons. Boy, what a disappointment! I took a bite of my mom’s spinach and chicken and a bite of my pork, bean, and cheese and not only did they taste the same, but it was extremely salty. *sighs* I’m still wondering if the shrimp and mashed potato tacos would have yield a better result, but after this let-down I’m not sure that I will ever find out.

This is one truck I follow on Twitter and Instagram. Why? Because I love their stuff! I’ve ordered pupusas, taquitos, empanadas, platanos and pastelitos. I’ve also taken some to my grandma(rest in peace) and she loved them. Their best dish during the summer is their mango ceviche. I never thought of mixing mango with fish ceviche but I love it when food proves me wrong! I find it so flavorful, refreshing and delicious! I have taken two orders to go so I can devour it at home while no one watches or gets harmed! ;) I am happy to have a pupusa truck that offers more than just pupusas! You should try them! If not, you’ll miss out!
