My father has been a patient here for the past 3 years after his cranioplasty and I can honestly say that the level of patient service here is superior to any other out-patient hospital we’ve been to. We are treated with respect here everytime we come. Dr. Peter Gruen is a patient, knowledgable, and kind physician. He took the time to explain every single step in the process and answered any and all questions we had. My dad’s follow up physician, Dr. Goodman is also very sweet and helpful. The nurses and the ladies at the front desk at the Family Medicine receptionists desk are all great!

My physician is great. Unfortunately, this place is run like a Tijuana medical clinic. No feeling. No caring. No compassion. They only want your money. USC has gone downhill. They are always an hour behind schedule but they will penalize you if you aren’t early. They will drag you in to take your vitals and then throw you out to wait longer, so you won’t leave after waiting. Once they take your vitals, they’re billing you. Don’t waste your time.

This place WAS great. My physician is a great man and friend. But today I waited in the waiting room with a large number of very sick people and although I showed up 15 minutes prior to my appointment(like they ask) they don’t consider their patient’s time and I was made to wait well over an hour before I opted to leave — without being seen. Worse, I approached the desk to tell them I had to leave and asked to speak to a manager, the person at the desk didn’t care, offered no apology. When I pressed to speak with a supervisor, they made a half-arsed attempt to contact one, but then told me I would have to call back to see if I could reach the person who was covering for the person. No way. I’m done. Avoid this place. It has become a hell-hole.

I should have updated this earlier but for the last year having the senior doctors really makes a difference. The nice thing is that it’s next to USC hospital so it is super convenient to the pharmacy next door, the internal medicine next door and they have all the other services and the hospital next door… so if there is ever an emergency, well its next door… So I thank them for the last year of visits where they have been nice, and the service has been good. thank you! Also if you have serious pains and tell them, they will try to get you in even if you dont have an appointment.
