Online Unilocal account says open at 11:00am. I dive over here and of course they are closed. Nice change your hours

I usually stay clear of vintage shops on gentrified boulevards but Urchin was such a pleasant surprise! I am so glad I walked in! The girl working there was very nice and attentive, the selection was great, and above all prices were extremely fair! What usually kills me is when vintage stores sell ethnic clothing at ridiculous prices because they are oh so «exotic». This wasn’t the case here at all. I spotted a couple of beautiful Mexican dresses that were in beautiful condition and at an incredibly fair and non exoticised price; had they not been too small for me I definitely would have bought them! Will definitely be returning!

Great little vintage shop, right next door to a bunch of great breakfast spots. The staff is friendly, the prices are great, what more could a vintage loving gal ask for?

One of the best kept secrets on York blvd. always find something so rad and unique there for dirt cheap. Always!

Sad. Sorry I’m a stickler for customer service, but when there’s no shoppers in your store and it’s just a manager training a new empoyee, you’d think at least one person would greet me when I walk in. I browsed the entire store and even found clothes that I wanted. i drifted in and around the isles, hoping someone would smile or make eye contact. Instead, i felt like a fart that everyone wanted to ignore. In the end I decided to save my money, and my pride. it just didn’t feel right buying from this shop when no one seemed excited to sell to me anyway.

Just got back from this store and words can’t even express how impressed I am! Upon walking in, I was refreshed at the organization of the items and the fact that there is a FITTINGROOM! All of the employees were gracious and made sure I was comfortable, and while browsing through the items I instantly saw several items that I wanted to walk right out of the store with! In terms of pricing, I wouldn’t call it cheap but I wouldn’t call it unreasonable either. Because almost none of their items(at least in the men’s section), have stains, holes, rips, or odors, it’s understandable why some of their prices match those in your Forever 21s or H&Ms. But the quality and uniqueness of the items they sell and the excellent customer service you receive, is well worth the visit. On top of that, this store seems to be sort of the hub of activity on York Blvd, so it may also be worth a visit to check out their monthly art walks. This store redefines the idea of what a thrift store has to be. Altogether, A+! :-)

Love the selection of dresses at Urchin and the staff(especially Ramon) are super friendly and helpful. I also like how this place doesn’t smell like dirty clothes like other vintage stores and that they always have a bunch of new stuff everytime I go which is awesome. Probably one of my favorite vintage stores in L.A.

Completely oblivious that there was a vintage thrift store in the neighborhood that I have lived my entire life and driven pass this small strip of York a million times over. I came across this place during September’s NELA art walk There is an event with a western theme and I found all my gear here in one trip. A big plus is that I spent well under the budget I set for myself.

Reminds of an NYC resale shop in that the selection is heavy on the 60s and 70s with some modern day stuff in the mix as well. Prices are reasonable — I scored a wide sash leather belt for $ 15. The staff is really nice and they have some larger sizes which is nice. Lots of Mexican peasant dresses, bright prints, and some very cute vintage purses. A nice mens selection if you are medium sized. Hoping to see some of their Squaresville higher end stock come to this location as it gets more popular!

does that guy own the place? anyway, i was super happy to see a vintage place open down the street from my house. bummer that they don’t buy stuff from a normal person, but you can drive to los feliz to their sister store to sell, at squaresville. even bigger bummer that i bought a couple tshirts and a purse, and didn’t realize i had been overcharged on one of the tshirts by $ 10. annoyed.

Pretty cool vintage clothing shop on an incredible Highland Park corner. Whenever I’m in such a well selected vintage clothing shop, I always pretend I just walked into my local Salvation Arm on the best day ever and found a cache of clothes I can take home on the cheap, this sensation usually disappears once I look at the price tags though. Not here, the prices are reasonable, especially for all the hardwork that goes into finding these clothes.
