Robert was super nice and helpful in sharing ideas about sofas. We are looking for a replacement sofa but may keep our current one for a little longer. When the time comes to get one, we’ll go back to Robert since he customizes sofas to exactly what you want and can design it the way you actually want it to look. I can tell he had a lot of experience and will provide a great product. His showroom has a lot of really cool décor and I can’t wait to begin our interior design project once we get our next place.

Wasn’t sure about this place as I was driving through downtown, but my jaw literally dropped when I walked through the warehouse doors. The place was packed wall-​to-​wall with really cool, unique pieces that were a fraction of the designer items I’d looked at on Robertson. The owner Robert was very helpful, and I bought several furniture pieces that I absolutely love, saving thousands of dollars.
Do yourself a favor, skip the high prices and lack of parking on the Westside or other overpriced areas, and check out Urban Colony. I don’t know why more people don’t know about it already, but I went at a friend’s recommendation and loved it, so go now before it gets discovered by everybody else.

What a find! Robert has furniture for any décor. Contemporary to Rustic. Plus, he can design & make anything you want. And the best part is he will work with you on price. Nice to know you don’t have to pay an arm & a leg for beautiful quality furniture!

Urban Colony is amazing! I got a great table that looks awesome in my house for a mere fraction of the stuff my designer always shows me. And here’s the kicker: my designer loves the table too! Just goes to show you, you DON’T always have to pay through the roof! It’s a great place to shop if you want your house to look custom, but don’t want to pay $ 20k for a sofa. The stuff is quality and the owner, Robert, cares about the customer and can customize anything for you. I’ve got my eye on a bunch of stuff…
Oh, also, tons of free parking. A rarity for downtown.

How can I be so sure, you ask?
Well, there are several reasons. One is that they moved from their small space in the Valley to a huge showroom downtown, and just from sheer quantity you ought to be able to find what you need. Another reason is the owner, Robert Wylie. He has such an amazing sense of style, he sources incredible items at surprisingly reasonable prices. Not only that, but he will have a personal consultation with you to help determine your needs. So – even if you don’t actually know what you want («I feel like there just needs to be something here, in this space» or «I have this room and no matter what I do to it, nothing seems to really work»), he is able to make suggestions to create the kind of space you are looking for.
And the last reason? If they don’t have it in stock… he can have it custom made for you. I know, you think that custom pieces are way out of your price range, but they’re not! I know all this because this has been my experience with Urban Colony. I’ve purchased items that were in stock… but I’ve also come to Robert with my needs and he has had the perfect items built for me. I’m no designer, but Robert is – and I said that I’d like a media center with shelves here, made out of this type of wood with this color finish… and magically, it was done. Once I spent months looking for the perfect desk, and kept finding things that were ALMOST right. I told Robert what I needed («it needs to fit into this space, have a cabinet on this side and shelves on this side», etc) and Presto! He designed, and had built, just exactly what I needed. I have a friend who was searching for the perfect sofa for YEARS, and I finally talked her into going to Urban Colony – and she left the store with a delivery scheduled.
Full disclosure: Robert is a former client and a current friend; but that does not negate the fact that he is super-​talented and service-​oriented. I highly recommend Urban Colony!
