Uptown Nursery

This is worst than I thought. Owner only speaks Korean and does not care about customers. Plants are in bad shape and it’s expensive. If you need flowers or plants go to Orchards or order online.

I live in Dallas, TX, but have relatives and friends in Los Angeles. Over the years, I had friends birthdays and funerals. I just call and Uptown Nursery takes take of everything for me. Compared to other places in Korea Town, the prices are very reasonable. The feedback that I get from my friends is that the arrangements are top notch.

They were very hospitable and sweet people. I went in looking to start a small garden and they helped me pick out plants that would be easy for me to garden.

Called to ask for organic pesticide or neem oil they answered in Korean, I asked of they speak English and they said no and just clicked on me. ONLY IF YOU SPEAK Korean come in

I guess I went here for the wrong reason as they seem to have more of the plants than flowers, but I ‘ve been referred by someone for wedding flowers here at one point in time, and how they do a great job with the flowers, so I had gone years ago, but didn’t go with this place because they seemed a bit over priced for my taste. I’m sure they provide great wedding arrangements, but too little for the price as I’m sure some people have no problem wasting? or spending.
I came here couple of times for hospital flowers last year and again just recently to check out their flower selections, but they never seem to have any ready made arrangements. On my last visit, I was asking about getting an arrangement done, but they asked for a ridiculous price, and didn’t seem willing to help, so I left. On my last visit, I tried the place again because I was running late and this place was the nearest, but again, flower arrangements weren’t available this time they didn’t even acknowledge me, but rather just glimpsed at me (great customer service, ey?). Anyhow, it was yet again a disappointing experience for me.
I just went to Ralphs where the flower arrangements for hospital or any occasions are available and reasonably priced. They even have a girl who can make arrangements for you. They may not be the best arrangers, but the girl made a beautiful flower arrangements for $ 50 when I could’ve been spending 100 at any flower shops. And cheaper doesn’t mean lower quality, flowers were full and still fresh and sincerity entacted.
Perhaps another day, I will try this place and check out their fruit tree, seeds or plant selections. I may have a better luck.

Great place to find seeds and seedling to start an edible asian garden … sesame leaves, daikon, bok choy, and a bunch of other ones i dont know in english!
