We ordered cartridges and our printer went out, so we got an updated version of the same printer. New printer wouldn’t take anything but HP products. We had 2 cartridges in stock and when we opened one, it was broken. The other one was fine, but our new printer wouldn’t take it because it wasn’t HP. I had gotten a call from Jason at Universal asking about our unpaid invoice and I told him what the problems were. 1) One cartridge was broken 2), we couldn’t use them anyway, and 3) we were charged $ 70.30 for shipping from Southern CA to Northern CA! He said that was«a huge mistake» and would fix it. Customer service would be calling me regarding returning the unused cartridges. That was 4 days ago… at least. Today, I get a call from Rachel… she’s rude. First of all, she lied and said she was returning a call from my coworker… who never called her… then she interrupted every time I tried to explain why I needed to return the product. She told me we had 5 days to return the product and it’s been a month. I told her we hadn’t needed it yet. So, she said she’d have the old ones picked up and she’d send me one HP cartridge. I told her we didn’t need any now(we don’t want to deal with them anymore). She insisted we take ONE… which, by the way was same exact cost of the TWO we were returning! I told her she could send it, but I can guarantee it’ll be sent back. She said in a rude manner, «Fine, let me see what I can do. BYE!» And she abruptly hung up. We’re definitely not dealing with them anymore!

I gave them the one star because I had too. Their customer service is terrible. Agent was annoyed because I wanted to return something. All I needed was information to do so. I am extremely satisfied with my decision in not moving forward with them – should we have actually gone into business, it would have been a nightmare. I asked for a supervisor and«by the tone of my voice», they knew it was me calling back. The supervisor was just as terrible; not sure who does their hiring but they shouldn’t be scoffing at customers.
