Wasn’t far from where I was staying in Echo Park and I Was Hungry. Wasn’t The Best Pizza [Nothing Beats NYC Pizza]. But it did that job and wasn’t Nasty. So… Yea.

BESTPIZZAINTOWN! Definitely worth a visit when at Echo Park. I love that they’re open pretty late and I always grab a bite after a good show at the Echo, which is right next door, and Echo Park is located only a block away. Guys, I suggest you grab a box of pizza while on a date and take your date to echo park and enjoy the view, pizza, and company!!!

$ 4 slices. I came here after Funky Sole at The Echo(next door) and I was pretty happy with the two slices that I tried. My favorite out of their selection that night was the Grandma Bess. Fortunately, I didn’t experience any bad service like most others did. I would not go out of my way to come here, but would stop by for late night munchies if I was in the area.

I got the gluten free vegan special– they have two house pizzas which are vegan, so I split a pie ½ and ½ down the middle because I couldn’t decide. FYI: –No substitutions on house pizzas –All vegan pies come with Daiya –GF crusts are small AF, but what’s new. Mine was pretty crispy and I really have no complaints. PROS: Both were pretty good– I think I prefer the«Vegan In Furs» best. The tofu ricotta is seriously bomb!!! The«V for Vegan» was not nearly as flavorful as I was hoping, despite alluring promises of kale pesto and red pepper pesto. CONS: Yeah, so I think I’d only be back if I was too hungover to drive to Blaze or something, because while it was cool to eat local and blah blah blah, I can get a bigger GF/vegan pie at Blaze, with way more toppings, for the same price(about $ 14), and way faster service(I waited 35 minutes– now given, some of that was«technical machine error,» but still.) TAKEAWAY(no pun intended): All in all, I’m thankful for them for offering GF/V options, and I’m happy I have a go-to pizza place in my hood. PS, DEARMANAGEMENT: My advice to staff: you seem great at using separate utensils for people who have Celiac– however, please make sure your cashiers actually NOTE Celiac on orders if requested. My cashier seemed to think this was unnecessary, despite my asking. In my experience(and I’ve learned the hard way), staff treat the situation differently if it’s specified to be an allergy situation, vs. a dietary preference. Plz and thx.

Decent pizza slices. I typically try their pepperoni. I’ve visted their Echo Park and DTLA location. It does its job after a night of drinking. Although I probably I wouldn’t come here if I wanted to satiate my pizza craving especially with Masa being down the street from the EP location.

Dont get it for delivery. Waited for one hour and half pizza came cold and hard. Never again order these guys. Your pizza sucks so bad! I want my money back!

Pretty good pizza. Get the Bird(it’s my fav)! It’s a pretty small pizzeria located right next to the Echo. Pretty tight space with a few tables so I noticed most people take it togo. I got here when it was busy yesterday, ordered first but all my friends got their pizza before me. Apparently they had a slice that dropped on the floor and I ordered the last Bird slice. Luckily a freshly made Bird pizza came right out while I was inquiring. Finally got my fresh slice of pizza and the friendly cashier gave me a couple of cookies for waiting. :)

Well, I can’t comment to how good the pizza is because my existence was never acknowledged. I came here last night at 6pm. As I walked up to the counter, the female cashier walked away to answer the phone. I waited for about 3 minutes and decided to go to the bathroom, maybe she’d be done when I got back. When I got back, she wasn’t on the phone anymore, but was fiddling with boxes. I continued looking at the selection of slices and took my time, looking at all the pop-culture references and ingredients on each, since I had never been here. After finishing looking at all the pies on display, I still hadn’t been acknowledged by her or the guy working there, just one counter back. It was not busy. There were 2 guys sitting at a table and that’s it. The girl was super casual by the phone, perhaps thinking about things going on in her life. I patiently grabbed a menu and looked it over, waited a bit longer and after waiting a total of about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment, left to grab something at Masa. I wasn’t even mad, just a little bewildered at how this girl has a job. Not trying to get her in trouble, but damn, have some awareness, to leave the area where people order and not even look that way for 10 minutes is ridiculous.

Ordered delivery last night and it took 1 hour and 45 minutes to deliver a cold pizza that looked/felt like it had been sitting out the entire time. When my girlfriend called to check the status of the pie she wasn’t even given an apology or cause of such delay. I would go in store if you want this pizza as the delivery option degrades the quality and service of this place so bad that it is not even remotely worth the price.

Where else can you get a pizza with vegan options? Only in Echo Park, that’s where! And just exactly where? Two Boots is that place! A hipster/grungy look to it inside with only a few tables, Two Boots serves pizza by the slice. It is quite the big slice too. The kicker-the names of the pizzas here!!! They’re after famous names of celebrities or the pseudonames they’ve used in their movies! Being a Tarantino fanatic, I had their Mr. Pink pizza. Good Ol Steve Buscemi! It came with large tomato thin slices all over! Amazing! It is hard to determine which is the best here. They also have cookies and other items to choose from. I loved this place and must check out what other specialities they have. Two Boots certainly did knock my boots up! You can believe it when I say that I’ll be back!!!

Is this authentic NY style pizza? Of course not. But why does everything have to be compared to that? It’s a stylish, funky little place with an identity all its own and the pizza is amazing. If you’re like me, you’ve probably been extremely hungry or dehydrated before or after a show and this place has been your saving grace. I’ve had dozens of slices over the years from here, and that jalapeño pesto on the Night Tripper is probably what I’d call their finest achievement thus far. The Bird is also phenomenal, but then again everything is. Very vegan friendly as well, as you’d expect given the location.

Two Boots is a solid pie. I think it gets overlooked a lot because there is always a new joint opening up. I remember when they opened in NYC when I was in college… way too long ago and Two Boots was considered the new, hip avant-garde pizzeria. Now, its consider… well just Two Boots. I still think there pies are creative. Are they the best in the city… no but if you live on the east side they do deliver and you will like it.

I just called them because my sandwich they delivered me had a disrespectfully small amount of meat on it — it’s basically a bread and lettuce sandwich — and the manager offered me 10% off my next purchase. given my lunch was 15 bucks that is $ 1.50 for the trouble. I find this to be insufficient. I’m not able to even get full off this damn sandwich they sent me so it’s like i just tossed 20 bucks(with tip, because the girl didn’t offer me change on a $ 15 order) away. 10% off? for ruining my meal? no wonder your reviews on here are so hit or miss. you don’t give any fucks about the customer.

Skimmed the reviews and saw so many people raving about their ‘New York style’ pizza… thought well this can’t be so bad and placed my order. SIDENOTE: When ordering pizza I never expect the best, because lets be real, we live in Cali. My pizza arrived in a little more than an 1 hour and by the time it arrived both me and my boyfriend were starving. aka we would’ve eaten pretty much anything. COMPLETELYUNDERWHELMING. There was the nasty bottled pasta sauce base, the cheese that tasted like plastic, then the kicker… the crust was non existent. as in it was so thin the bottom and top crust of the pizza were burnt, hard, crunchy, and flavorless. Needles to say we couldn’t even finish our slices, let alone the rest of the pie. I wouldn’t wish this pizza on my worst enemy.

Went to The Echo to catch a show. Afterwards I was starving and everything else on the street appeared closed so I checked out Two Boots by default. I was reluctant, from my horrible LA pizza experience of ultra suck they serve over at Garage Pizza downtown, the place where they put ketchup and mustard on their pizza, it’s very existence an affront to all that is good. They serve vegan options, I should say. So, yeah. But despite this, they make some really great, thin crust pizza. I really want to go back to really get into their menu. I started off with a slice of Night Tripper pizza, and it was delicious. Sun dried tomato, spicy green sauce, and the cheese was fantastic. Just really tasty, not greasy, and great thin crust. Then, a slice of pepperoni. It was really good, again, not greasy at all. Then, I got a cheesy calzone and it sealed it for me. Two Boots is tops. The cheese was the kind you shovel down your gullet happily without thinking to yourself, damn, I’m eating a lot of cheese. It was, let me get more of that wonderful shit in my mouth before the person I’m sharing this with does. I experienced, cheese greed. I would say, it needed more marinara, if I hadn’t been so enthralled I could have asked for more, but the lack of it didn’t diminish my cheese and dough inhalation. The food was gone too fast, and I actually wished I had another stomach. This completely restored my faith in LA pizza. Fun, eccentric, vaguely healthy, not greasy, great crust, and a crazy menu. Okay, not crazy, more eclectic. I live in Orange County, but I’m in LA frequently and definitely recommend this place. I know I’ll be back.

Finally a great NYC style pizza parlor in LA! Pricey pizza(about $ 4 a slice) but creative flavors/tastes. This funky shop is located near Masa of Echo Park, which is a well-known Chicago Deep Dish restaurant. Honestly, I prefer the pizza here better. So if you don’t want to wait for a long line at Masa, just come here instead! — Veggie In Furs: this one looks pretty plain and simple but the cale pesto green sauce gives the pizza a unique taste! — Bayou Beast: spiced shrimps, crawfish, and jalapanos. I can eat this all day! I forgot what else I tried… but I’m sure whatever you get, it’ll be good. There’s street parking and a parking lot nearby.

TWOBOOTS I came on a Wednesday night with friends who already ordered some slices before I came. I had their special of the day which was called the DIVINE. It was amazing – the toppings, the crust… oh my gosh I have to bring my boyfriend here!!! So later that week on a Saturday I brought my boyfriend and 3 other friends! Here’s what I had: MEATBALLSLIDERS(3) — $ 5.75 This was amazing! You have meatballs and cheese and tomato sauce sandwiched between garlic knots! It’s soo good! I highly recommend this! SLICEOFPIZZA — THESLAYER– $ 4 Buffalo Chicken, Andouille Sausage, Tasso Ham, Jalepeno relish/pesto. This spicy pizza was so good! I don’t taste much of the pesto but I sure taste that hot kick in the pesto jalapeño sauce! They didn’t skimp on the meat which I appreciated and I just love the thing crispy crust! Ahhh! SLICEOFPIZZA — CLEOPATRAJONES — $ 4 Sweet italian sausage, roasted peppers, onions, & mozzarella. I chose this because it looks like your standard everything topping with your meats and veggies. So tasty and again. love the crust! This place is small so seating space is limited unless you don’t mind sitting outside in the cold. I love how the decorated the place too. This place isn’t great for large groups. I don’t go to many served by the slice kind of places but this so far is my favorite cuz I usually go to places where it’s super plain and greasy(Ya know the kind that drips orange). Thanks Two Boots for not one, but two wonderful happy belly experiences!
