Twin Dragon is one of the few Chinese restaurants I liked. After going there couple days ago, I had spicy chicken with vegetables and broccoli, chicken curry, spicy green beans and vegetarian mushu. Today while eating the leftovers, I discovered a long strand of PUBIC hair in my leftover. I am so disgusted and will never go back again.

Very nice and quiet place to dine alone or with someone special. The hot won ton soup was amazing and the fried rice was really seasoned! Staff are very nice and attentive!

Basically this is a hit and miss place on both the service and food. The Kung Pao Chicken was decent but a bit bland in my opinion. The sweet and sour shrimp was good. The lunches came to $ 17 a person which a little beit on the high side for what they are offering. The waitress could use an attitude adjustment but she is old school just like the restaurant.

I used to frequent Twin Dragon years ago when I lived in WeHo and was delighted to find the menu, food and service staff haven’t changed. We drove into town to catch a movie and decided to stop at TD for lunch. My fave sizzling rice soup was loaded with chicken, shrimp, mushrooms and snow peas and was delicious. Mr. W ordered the aromatic shrimp and tangerine beef. Both good but a bit on the sweet side. We didn’t think to order a side of veggies but should have. The portions were generous with plenty leftover. Our bill came to $ 40 with plenty leftover for another meal. Would I return? Yes — if in the area and recommended by a friend. Would I recommend? Yes — it really is an institution and its solid American Style Chinese Is it authentic? Nope — gotta go to Chinatown, Monterrey Park or San Gabriel

God awful. I should’ve known by their reviews not to eat here, but my girl insisted it was good. Eggrolls, so bad, watery and not tasty in the least bit. The soup was horrible. I’m pretty sure some of the pork in it was bad. The beef in the vegetable beef was def grade F. Fried rice had so many beans sprouts it was more bean sprouts than rice. Also large chunks of scrambled eggs in it. Not appetizing whatsoever. The waiter didn’t seem to care that we didn’t eat the food. If you’re thinking about eating here I suggest you think twice. I know I wish I did. My bill was $ 50 and the best thing was the white rice.

My husband used to live near this place and had not been here in years. We were there at a slow time. We were seated right away. We ordered food and drinks and they were brought out immediately. He ordered kung pao chicken, I ordered the Buddha’s Feast with garlic sauce. The food came out within a few minutes of ordering. It was hot and fresh. I was expecting crispy wontons like most Chinese restaurants serve with the dipping sauce but they didn’t bring any out. My Buddha’s Feast was cooked perfectly, the flavor bounced around my palate. The mushrooms were amazing, the veggies were cooked well and the sauce was just the right amount of spicy. The steamed rice was fluffy and plentiful. They kept refilling our drinks without asking. That’s always nice! My only complaints are 1) where we’re the almond cookies?‘Everyone raved about those in other reviews so I was looking forward to those. They never arrived.2) I took some of my food to go and asked for a to go cup for my iced tea, again they said they don’t have to go cups?’ She was very gracious ahs poured my tea into a soup container. It was awkward but I drank my tea out of a soup container on the drive home. Other than the missing almond cookies and the lack of to go cups this place gets almost 5 stars. Highly recommend.

The place is busy for dine in and take out for some reason, because the food is not great and the staff at the register are SO rude! Don’t expect a take-out menu… they’ll refer you to their website(which doesn’t show prices). Seriously, you walk into their front door and ask for a menu, and that’s a problem for them to provide?!

Wow… customer service sucks here! !! Decided to come n get the sizzling soup but wrong idea!!! The host sat us down and the area really smelled like cigars. So i asked if he could change me to another table and gave me an attitude like i was there for free. Then one of the female waitress cussed another co-worker!!! Whoever manages this business needs to get training for his employees!!!‘ This place was so delicious long time ago!!! I Will never ever come here again!!!

I love this place. It’s my family’s favorite restaurant and I’ve been coming over 15 years. Large portions. Great and prompt service. The waiters come around and assist you often. the drinks were stronger under different management, but what can you do. But the food is A+. Oh and the décor and ambiance is so amazing!

Eeek! Just got around to reading reviews for this place and bugs in the food?! :/ I gave this place 4 stars only because I met my man here and they were so nice and left the restaurant open late for us(because I got there super late towards closing) even though there wasn’t anyone else in the joint. All I had was wine, wine, and more wine and when I was rushing my drinks so they can close up, they were so nice and told me not to rush. After reading all the reviews and customers missing the old owners and previous cooks, has it ever occurred to anyone to go in and show the new owners the Unilocal reviews? I mean if you all miss this place so much maybe do something constructive about it. I’ve met a few FOB(fresh off the boat) restaurant owners that do not speak English that well nor do they know anything about Unilocal. If someone pointed this out to them maybe they’d change. Or maybe the owners aren’t running the restaurant and have no idea what management is doing. All I can say was they were so nice to us. Maybe because I’m one of their peeps? :/IDK As for the bug in the food, it happens at one time or another at every restaurant. Just the same as finding a hair in your food. I agree it kills your appetite & really gross and also agree that they shouldn’t argue about bugs their patrons find in the food but maybe they just come across with a rude tone that’s unintentional. Maybe someone,(especially since you all have been coming here for so long) should literally break out the Unilocal and show it to them? I did the same for the tailor I go to and immediately after discovering all their bad reviews they made it a point to run a tighter ship. Just IMO though.

Is it the best chinese food hands down mmmmm its in the top 5 places but not #1 hehe. Im always satisfied with this place their service and food. Our server Lucy was spectacular she’s really hands on with customers and made sure the table was satisfied throughout our stay. Ive been coming here as a teen with my parents and for the life of me i cannot figure out why they have the same Décor and have not upgraded this place. This is a well known hot spot in Los Angeles its time to spruce up the place. Especially when tourist read about this place and walk in and say ehhhh lol upgrade you have been around long enough and it should have been done years ago other than that i have no complaints.

So while I still love their food, I grow increasingly frustrated with their service. I call in to place delivery orders and, because their menu has no prices listed on it, have to constantly ask how much everything is. The lady who answers the phone is cool and efficient, but awkward; it feels like it’s her first day on the job and she’s just remembering what to ask you. I am doubly annoyed when they don’t ask you how you’re paying and assume it’s cash – again, please tell me the bloody total before I decide how you’re going to take my money. Then they don’t quote you the delivery time and hang up. Okay. You guys are lucky I am sick on my couch and really want some decent soup, otherwise I would get off my ass and buy three meals for the $ 24 you’re charging to bring a soup and entrée to my home.

*DEADBUGSINFOOD, DON’T EAT* My wife ordered pan fried noodles and garlic chicken and there was a DEADBUG in the food. Do not eat here! We’ve eaten here about 4 or 5 times without any issue but after seeing a dead bug hidden under noodles I will not be back. When we called the manager he sarcastically asked«are you sure it’s not a mushroom» as if we can’t tell the difference between a bug and a mushroom. He then offered to REFUNDONLYHALFOURMONEY which was laughable. NOAPOLOGY just a short, «we’ll send someone to pick it up.» When the guy arrived he attempted to squint as if he didn’t see the bug. We showed him pictures and pointed to it on the plate. He quickly grabbed the food and while walking away said, «We’re not gonna charge you.» — this has to be one of the most disgusting experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. If you choose to still eat here, make sure to double check your food THOROUGHLY. My wife just happened to look down after eating a few fork-fulls of noodles when she saw it. Totally grossed us out!

We ordered take out even though I have to go inside. This place looks like an old school Chinese restaurant that my mom used to take us when we were kids growing up on the East Coast. The take out wasn’t horrible but there wasn’t much of a description of the food items given in the online menu(at least for the vegetarian dishes). We ordered egg rolls. They’re standard as you get everywhere else. Not too greasy and they tasted good. Some have claimed the food is similar to an East Coast Chinese restaurant but the egg rolls are not those big fat ones I am thinking of. Oh, get your mind out of the gutter — I’m talking egg rolls ;O) We wanted to try the dumplings but they didn’t have the vegetarian ones so we went without. As for the main dishes, the Buddha’s Feast was excellent. Lots of crisp veggies with a flavorful garlic sauce. The Szechwan Tofu was just that — tofu, soft in a sauce. Very boring to me but we didn’t know it came with nothing else otherwise we would have chose something else. Next time we will try another dish and we will go to the restaurant b/c I am sure it’s a better experience. Although, take out was fast, the food was delivered hot, and it was easy.

IGNORTHEBADREVIEWS ok so I can only assume people DONTLIKECHANGE. When Facebook changed their design people went bat shit… Maybe that’s what is happening here. So there may be more veg… Maybe you should be eating more veg. ;-/ Ok, to the review: Great dishes, great prices, great atmosphere. Went on a Sunday night and it was rammed. Ordered steak and it was delicious. Was it covered in salt and sugar ridden sauces to make you mouth explode?! No. Could you taste the steak and the awesomely fresh veg? Hell yes. You’ve been going since the 60’s and they changed the amount of chicken in your dish? Eat at home. We’ll move on without you. The reason I’m so direct is because you almost made me not try here, and I don’t want others to make that mistake by trusting your ignorance. GREATSUBTLEFRESHFLAVORSFORGREATPRICES.

My friend and her husband used to eat here quite a bit. Since I had business in the area, she and I stopped here for lunch. Unilocal reviews mentioned management has changed and reviews aren’t as good. My friend confirmed that. Although the same items were on the menu, some of them were no longer available. My friend was bummed about not getting the special wontons she liked so much. I ordered shrimp egg foo yung. It reminded me of the old school freshly cooked patties that you rarely see anymore. The veggies and shrimp were fresh and tasty. Veggie eggrolls were typical; nothing special. The tea was very bland. My friend ordered shrimp in lobster sauce and enjoyed it. Oh… parking is terrible! There is only a small valet lot with about 10 spaces that costs $ 5. Really?! Good luck with street parking because it is metered with very limited time. Overall, the tiny place wasn’t bad. If in the area, I’d eat here again because the food was fresh.

I am not Chinese so I can not comment how authentic the food here is… But what I can comment on is that the food is very delicious… There were 12 of us so we almost ordered everything and everything on the menu. For the starters, we ordered the lettuce wraps. It was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the sauce that came with. It was oyster sauce. For the entrees, we ordered the sweet and sour fish, pork ribs, steamed veggies, 3 beef dishes(that I have forgot the names) and 3 chicken dishes… The portions are pretty big so one dish would be great for 2 people… I am not sure if they use MSG in their food but everything tasted amazing… I will for sure will go back. Our waitress was named Lucy. She did a great job in serving us and making sure that everyone is happy with their food. Toward the end of the meal they brought us hot tea along with fortune cookies and lots of almond cookies… OMG, the almond cookies were sooo delicious. Make sure to save some room for them!
