I like Trimana for the convenience factor. It’s right in the lobby inside the US bank tower so if you work within the building, it’s a treat to not have to walk too far to get your food. Salad bar is 7.25/lb. If you get under one pound it’s not taxed. Anything over 1 lb will have tax added but you also get a free drink. They usually have at least 2 vegetarian/vegan soups on the right side of the soup bar. I appreciate that. I also love that they make Chinese Salad without the chicken. So you can get the same salad with the sweet mandarin oranges minus the chicken which you could add on the side if you’re a meat eater. It gives the vegetarian and vegan eaters more option. Sandwiches and wraps are well priced. For $ 7.25, you can get a veggie avocado sandwich complete with a side of your choice. I usually get their mixed fruits. If you see something running low in the salad bar, let the employees know and they will happily make another fresh batch for you. Their stuff is always fresh. Workers are nice. No complaints. Shout out to Ellie who helps me with my sandwich every time. :))))

I always do the salad bar and put their baked salmon on it or get a tossed salad for a quick lunch pick up close to work. Also like the chicken tortilla soup. Staff is always super friendly and fast

During our last holiday in the US we were staying at the Westin Bonaventure and breakfast was not included. Consequently we searched for a good place to have a healthy breakfast(instead of the fat donut places). Trimana offered a breakfast with fresh orange juice, fruits, yoghurt and wheat bread with scrambled eggs for just 14 dollars for the two of us. A good and healthy alternative. The service was superb and a big thanks to the friendly Libanese guy!

I’d been into this Trimana three or four times before any of the employees bothered to tell me that if you go out the back door and walk through the building lobby, you’d find the rest of the salad bar/sandwich counter back there. The last time I was there, the back salad counter was already closed, but the manager at the front half of the eatery told me he could make whatever salad I wanted up there. So he instructed the guy behind the counter to make it, but the guy obviously was unfamiliar with the salad recipes. So the manager had to correct him a few times, but when I made some necessary corrections, the manager looked at me and said, «Hey, I’m just doing you a favor. Don’t get snippy.» I wasn’t being snippy; they were putting the wrong things in my salad! AND I had never asked him to make me the salad; he offered to do it. The manager must have realized his mistake because he gave me a discount on my salad. Fine. But then when I sat down outside to eat my salad, it had an avocado pit in it. My salad didn’t even have avocado, so what the fuck was the pit doing in my salad?! Bottom line, the salad I normally get is delicious and(factoring in the inflated prices of food in Downtown LA) it’s cheap, and this place literally across the street from where I work. So as long as I never have to deal with that asshole manager again, I’d come back.

Boo to the employee who acted like a kicked her puppy when I brought back my incorrectly-made breakfast sandwich(and I was very nice about it). The food is great, the service is sad. I don’t like choosing one or the other. Get with it Trimana.

Located inside the US Bank Tower on 5th street(across from the Library), this place is a working girl’s dream!!! Soups up to wazoo, with free samples. I usually go for the mushroom barley — you’d never even know there was no meat it’s so tasty! And the small soup($ 2.75 I think) fills me up for lunch just fine! There’s also a killer salad bar and a made-to-order sandwich deli. All ingredients are standard, but good and fresh. The staff is also super nice. Note, they have a coffee shop/muffin joint in the front of the US Bank tower, and then at lunch shift over to the deli-like location next door. Same guy runs both, and takes a lot of pride in his job. That’s how you know it’s a good place, when even the workers doing the daily grind are smiling and making sure customers are taken care of. There’s a free soda if you buy a certain amount of salad. Overall, fast, easy, good, and cheap! Love it for a busy-body’s lunch on-the-go.

I work very close to this establishment. Four stars for being there for that last-minute, I don’t know what else to buy lunch hour. I am a fan of their turkey chili. I put olives, onions and cheese at the bottom, add some tortilla chips on top(all from their salad bar) and I have myself a meal for under $ 3(small cup). Pick up a couple packs of their complimentary crackers and I am just good to go. The staff is extremely friendly and the manager has given me extra(or let me slide and a few cents) from time to time. Salad bar is not the BEST… but again, it is convenient and I make due. All in all… I’d rather have them here… than NOT have them here.

Since the winter months are among us I’ve frequent this location for a week now. Their chicken noodle soup is GOOD! The turkey chili is just okay. I like beans in my chili and they don’t serve beans with theirs. For a small cup of soup it’ll run you $ 3.00. It’s very filling. Could use more meat, but overall the taste of the broth is excellent. I’ve tried their Chinese chicken salad & it’s pretty good too. They could have better combo or lunch express deals. They accept credit cards with a $ 5.00 purchase.
