We are INLOVE. This totally rad vintage shop carries some of the most colorful and vibrant pieces on the block, with a range of dresses and rompers from the 60s, 70s and 80s. The shop is really easy to navigate, and items are laid out in a thoughtful design. We enjoyed chatting with adorable owner Natalie, who shared her recommendations in the neighborhood and assured us that we could text her anytime if we wanted to come back for a dress that caught our eye(we did!) If you can’t make it all the way out to Eagle Rock, she sells on Etsy too!

I love this place! I bought a cute 80s dress on my birthday recently, and today I bought an OG Stussy tshirt, each piece under $ 35. Great selection for both men and women, beautiful jewelry and a happy little dog to hang out with. Natalie has an excellent eye for vintage!

This spot is awesome for a great vintage tee, dress or anything else perfectly vintage. I also picked up the best smelling voluspa candle from there today. The owner is a super cool babe who helped me pick out a great outfit. The shop is so cute and pretty it’s exactly what my shop would look like in my dreams, if I had one. I will def be coming back regularly. My fav new vintage store!

I visited Top Knot for the first time when it was just opening back in June. The owner is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about vintage clothing. You can tell that she puts some serious thought into what inventory she brings in. I really like the vibe of the store with its modern and industrial bones, not to mention her adorable dog. The store has some unique hard to find vintage pieces at great prices. I will definitely go back.

Top Knot is a promising, beautiful, special new boutique. At the time I’m writing this review, her shop is still in its soft opening I guess. This means that there isn’t a sign yet, her posted hours may fluctuate a little, she has not brought in new clothing lines, and changes are still being made; basically, she’s just getting it together. I get, and accept, all of that completely. As a dude, and someone who has who has actually sold vintage online, I feel completely confident that, after chatting with her for a while, and spending some real time in her beautiful, bright space looking at all of the pieces carefully, in no time, TK is going to be considered one of LA’s best boutiques for women AND men. TK is located at the edge of Eagle Rock, in the old Permanent Records space(now in Highland Park), just across from Trader Joe’s, and CaCao Mexicatessen, and is close enough to all the other places I love to eat at(Four Café, Casa Bianca Pizza Pie, Oinkster, etc). I’ve been to TK three times now and I’ve always found something fresh. The first time I stumbled onto it by accident going to CaCao. So, after a delicious lunch, I popped in, and was super surprised to find a very welcoming, well curated shop full of REAL vintage(no cheesy distressed items) and found: 1) a crazy, rare, perfectly broken in Kid Creole & The Coconuts shirt that I was MORE than happy to pay $ 38 bucks for(seriously!!! shirts like that go for a GRIP!) and 2) a pair of worn-once Clark’s that for about half of retail(score!). The second time, I needed a Hawaiian shirt. Of course she just the right thing: a sick 80’s OP jam that fit just right for twenty some bucks. Personally, I feel like that was a steal! I also considered this amazing Grateful Dead shirt from the early 90’s but was in a rush so I waited. The third time I went back for the Dead shirt and of course it sold. UGH!!! It was around the same price as the Kid Creole shirt(thirty something). Should’ve known it wouldn’t last. I won’t mess up again like that next time, but good to know people are snapping up the goods already. What I like most about Natalie’s welcoming shop is not that she has such dope stuff, but that that the experience is personal, that she knows her inventory and has a superhuman handle on sizing. She simply knows what’s going to look good on you and what isn’t. That, is what you, well I, go to TK for now. I suppose if you’ve got the time to riffle through pile after pile, and rack after rack, of ill-fitting donations at thrift shops, you could find one or two things here and there, but at TK, there’s just a few racks of quality goods at more than fair prices. Honestly, I’d say four out of five times I looked at the price tags, I thought to myself, «That’s all?» I guess if you’re looking for dirt cheap, fake, «distressed,» «vintage-LIKE/inspired» goods head to the Goodwill Outlet or Hot Topic. At a certain point in your life however, when you grow up or get a job, you just get tired of wasting time. So, check out Top Knot. Get the dope shit. REAL vintage. That fits right. For a super fair price. Done. I can’t wait to go back and see what new things she’s got. I just started following her on Instagram and it seems she gets new stuff all the time. Good luck and see you soon!

I disagree with the first reviewer. I found the vintage extremely reasonable compared to most LA vintage shops. The items are tastefully displayed. The shop owner is knowledgeable about her products and helpful. I enjoyed the ambience of the store and ended up buying several reasonably priced items which I saw elsewhere for much more. The shop is sunny and warm and the clothing very wearable and current. I will go back many times now that I know it’s there.

Visited the store today. There was a variety of sizes and styles but wayyyy over priced. The store prides itself on having vintage items… and that it does. But there is no reason why a vintage logo shirt should cost nearly $ 30. It seems a little crazy and hipster. If you want to find similar items visit a thrift store or flea market. Some times go for upwards of a $ 100 for a t-shirt. Event the tattered British flag t-shirt hanging behind the register.
