So many good choices! Love the red and yellow curries, wraps, Thai Tea, fresh spring rolls and the VJ Fruit Smoothie was out of this world! We got a chicken sandwich to go and that was fantastic too! The Server was amazing, so helpful and attentive! One of the best Vegan restaurants I have been too with so many different options. It’s a hidden gem that you must seek out. They have multiple locations all over LA and deliver!

This place is great, the guy that was running the place was so friendly and helpful. He gave us the low-down on the menu, what’s most popular, what isn’t etc. I hope that they’re doing well, it’s off the beaten path in an area that isn’t really developed. The vegan cheese that they used on the nachos was not melted, it was cold and there wasn’t much of it. The nachos were still super delicious but if they used a cheese like Daiya to make it melty and gooey then they would have been really amazing(the chips are fantastic) We plan to come here if we are ever hit with a chicken craving, the chicken burger that they have was really well done. I also hear that their curries are pretty awesome.

We absolutely love this place. We drive a long way for it. One of the only vegan joints opened for breakfast. We adore the food, and love Paul!

Food is awesome. Home made chips, amazing faux chicken, and as far as vegan places go, this place rocks!!! It gets 4 stars because the service is so so…

I was so happy to find a good vegan place with such affordable prices. They have lots of options on their menu, and all look delicious. Me and my friend had the Chicken burger($ 10 with fries) and we were amazed by its taste. The staff was really nice, and we didn’t wait long to get our dishes. Well, everything was positive, we’ll sure come again.

Super friendly and fast service and good range of items. I went with a fresh beet and veggie juice(yum) and pumpkin curry with tofu and brown rice, which was very good. I also had the tropical pancakes, which were super flavorful and fluffy, and the fried vegan chicken, which was very heavy and greasy, but I suppose exactly what one should expect from fried vegan chicken. Winner!

Decided to try this place because of a Groupon. I ordered takeout for the spicy mint noodles, pumpkin curry and the veggie power juice. I should’ve double checked the order but my meter we running out… The pumpkin curry didn’t come with brown rice as stated on the menu! The spicy mint noodles are so yummy! I’ll definitely come back for that. The veggie power juice isn’t made to order(they have a bunch in the fridge) but I’m hoping they make a new batch every day to get the most out of the nutrients. Overall a good experience, but I’m really sad about having curry with no rice.

My family and I went to eat there on a Sunday. The location was ok, we expected more, but after all food quality is what matters. So we seat and the waiter brings us the menu and we start looking. When is time to order we ask the waiter if he could tell us what he thought about some dishes and he replied that he has no idea about them. We order as we are having a great day and feel positive. We ask to add some starry broccoli to one of our dishes and the waiter said it was no problem. As soon as we receive the food, we see that the broccoli were missing so we asked again and the waiter apologized and said they were on their way. While we eat food that is below average, the waiter come and tells us that he has to leave for about 20 minutes for a delivery, so there would have been none to assist us … still waiting for broccoli. After about 15 minutes a kitchen guy comes in the dining area and we ask about our broccoli, he doesn’t speak English but somehow he understand and he brings us a serving of steamed broccoli… While we wait for the waiter to comeback so we can ask for the check we try to be positive and think maybe they just opened or the waiter was new… neither. Opened 5 months before and the waiter has been there for the whole time. Food below average, bad service, bad location. We will never be back.

Good healthy options – we need more places like this in the area. A little heavy/salty on the sauces sometimes and kind of pricey but what’re you gonna do… free delivery

The Vegan Joint wins the award for worst customer service EVER! I wrote about a lousy experience that I had at The Vegan Joint a few weeks back. The owner/manager had me email them in detail about my experience. She was very apologetic and offered me a $ 10.00 discount on my next order, so I decided to give them a second chance. I ordered a smoothie and a side of grilled potatoes. I was delivered my smoothie with a side of sweet potato fries! LOL! I let that slide. Today I thought of ordering for lunch so I called in a order. Paul came to the phone and took my order and quoted me 30 minutes for delivery. It’s been an hour and 30 min!!! I called back twice to see why my food was not here yet and no one picked up the phone. I really did try to give this place more than one more chance. Check out Localita & The Basasserie instead, they have a location in downtown, food & customer service is way better there!

Stumbled on this place by accident, it was such a great find. I’m so glad to have a great vegan restaurant in the neighborhood. Fresh and delicious. A couple of my favorites are the Pad See Ew and the green curry.

WOW!!! I am always sooooo happy when my wife and I find a new vegan place. The place is small but comfy. The staff member that helped us was very nice and helpful. Now, to the food. YUUUUUUUUUUM-E!!! The foundation of the menu is Thai, but, they have many, many other options. We started with the chicken satay with peanut sauce. For our entrees, my wife had the pumpkin curry which was phenomenal. I had the chow mein with an added protein(soy beef). I wanted to tru the pad thai, but, wanted to get a variety of vegetables. We shared as we always do and we both enjoyed each others selection. The Thai ice tea is awesome and it comes with hemp milk! Its in a kinda shady part of town, but, they only stay open till 5:00pm. All I know is the next time I’m going there it will be for breakfast. VEGANOMELETTE, HERE I COME!

I’ve wanted to come here ever since some old dude wrote a one star review based on his hostile refusal to come to this location because it was, in his words, too ghetto. The one star review was basically about the throes of mistakenly purchasing a Groupon(which clearly states that it’s only for The Vegan Joint at this location) thinking it was for the Hollywood location. He said he just wasted ten bucks and would never visit this location because it was in such a bad, crime-ridden, sketchy location. One star. ‘Eek! Methinks not.’ Click. Well someone(wish it was me) flagged that review and Unilocal took it down. I want to tell this guy that I will happily take the Groupon that he ‘wasted’ his ten bucks on and I will HAPPILY come back to this ghetto location, which I guess is due to its proximity to warehouses and Santee Alley that makes it so ghetto. Who knows? The location is perfectly fine and not sketchy. If I lived closer to this Vegan Joint, rather than the Hollywood one, I’d come here more often. I’ve been telling friends lately that virtually all vegan places now(Gracias Madre, Gratitude, Flore, Sage, Bulan, Vromage, Gold, etc) cater to the few vegans who can casually spend $ 15 – 20 each on meals now and the less expensive vegan places are either dying out or joining the eggless upper crust. This is one of the few vegan places left for the majority of vegans that don’t make tons of money and don’t care to spend an extra ten bucks on presentation. Their prices for food, $ 8 for delicious Pumpkin Curry with steamed brown rice included, is delicious and my favorite. I can try to order more than $ 8 worth of food like the 10% of vegans that 90% of vegan places in LA now cater to but I’d be carrying a togo box! The curry is large, thick and filling: it is essentially a red curry with chunks of pumpkin, zucchini and lots and lots of curry for the brown rice to mix with. It is as delicious as the Pumpkin Curry I’ve had at the Hollywood location. The server and cook basically double-up on jobs. So I am hoping they split the tips I gave because the server took our order and left, went to 7th and Figueroa to deliver a to-go order(I assume) on his bike, while the cook delivered food, kindly gave me extra rice after I asked and took other peoples’ orders.

All hail Vegan Joint. This place is amazing. Dropped by for breakfast after finding The Vegan Joint on Happycow. I woke up and thought ‘I’m craving breakfast foods’ so I decided I’d go with the tofu scramble and pancakes. Now, I’m not one for sweets or pancakes for that matter, however, something told me just go with it. My god the moment I took the first bite of the pancakes I decided I didn’t wanna waste my breath talking because I just wanted to stuff my mouth with the pancakes. They were warm and a bit crispy which I loved because i hate soggy floppy pancakes. The taste I can’t even describe because no matter what choice of words I use it won’t give it justice. The tofu scramble was just as good especially with the vegan bacon bits on top. The perfect balance of mushy eggs with crispy bacon bits to make my tongue dance. My BF had the tropical pancakes and tofu scramble. Essentially the same meal except his pancakes had banana and blue berries. After sampling his pancakes I was a bit jealous because they were also good but was more than satisfied with my decision. Thanks for the breakfast guys! We’ll definitely be coming back to try the many other breakfast, lunch & dinner options.

Okay. Seriously! This place rocks!!! Healthy vegan, delicious, awesome food! I had the spicy brown fried rice with tofu… probably one of the best fried rice meals I’ve ever had! Fresh organic ingredients! The only sad part is that the tofu was crazy dried out.): wah! Also tried the thai tea. they used hemp milk I believe? Seriously bomb! Their«scrambled eggs» taste like couscous. And their pancakes taste like cornbread. Omg, just heavenly. As if the food weren’t already amazing… the owner is the sweeeeeetest lady on earth. Very accommodating, informative, funny and crazy friendly. I won’t hesitate to visit her business whenever I’m back in town again. Thank you happy cow for bringing my friends and I here!
