The Uptown Sound

As a wedding planner, I worked with Jimmy and Jacob this past weekend at my clients wedding. They kept the crowd entertained the whole time, came prepared with everything needed and were easy to work with! Their 90’s tunes were prefect for the crowd! I highly recommend them for a fun and interactive band.

We have hired Jimmy & Jacob for many events. They played for my husband’s 40^th birthday and it was the best entertainment ever. Not only did they get everyone dancing all night but they were so funny the crowd adored them. They also played for my son’s birthday. The kids loved them because they knew all the current songs an 11 year old would appreciate. They are always professional and respectful. I would hire them for all of my events!

Why is there not a 10 star option here??? I simply cannot say enough great things about this band. .. Really and truly. I have seen them in multiple settings: bars, weddings, festivals, and black tie galas. This past weekend we hired them for a black tie charity event. They absolutely crushed it. They knew when to turn it up, they knew when to back it off, they mixed with the crowd, they let people join them on stage, they took care of cocktail hour, dinner music. .. the list is ENDLESS. The subject matter was at times difficult throughout the evening considering the what the foundation focuses on, but these guys were able to turn the night into a wonderful celebration. Planning an event there are so many things to worry about. .. I knew without a doubt I did not have to worry about the band. NOT only that, I knew if all else failed, the crowd would walk away having had the best night because of this group. There was ZERO room on the dance floor after they started playing. The next morning everyone was talking about what a fantastic party the band brought. They will be my go to for every single event. The BEST! No questions about it!!!

We hired Jimmy and Jacob for our wedding this past year and they were awesome! They set the tone right from the start and definitely brought the party — everyone had a blast and it couldn’t have happened without them. They were in charge of our ceremony music as well as being our reception DJs/​hosts (they provided/​set-​up all equipment) and they did a great job of transitioning from a formal ceremony to a dance party and ensured we stayed on track with our timeline of events while keeping all of our guests engaged — at one point they were shouting out guests by name and getting them to dance in front of everyone, it was hilarious! Everyone was dancing the whole night and I’ve been told more than once it was the best wedding party they had ever been to!
I don’t normally write reviews on here but I had to take the time to let people know how great these guys are and how strongly I recommend The Uptown Sound! They were extremely professional, did an amazing job and were the life of the party — they definitely went above and beyond what was expected! You won’t be disappointed.

These guys are the bees knees! And I never say that, but it just feels right! As a wedding planner, I oftentimes come across bands that have little talent and big attitudes, but these guys were a dream! They were super professional and responsible during the planning process and delivered a super fun performance on wedding day. I would definitely recommend The Uptown Sound to any bride planning her wedding or anyone planning an event! They are awesome!

This is a Great company, they’re always on time, they have a great musical selection and even let us pick a large amount of songs that we wanted played. They had great equipment which made it sound amazing. The band was super high energy and had everyone dancing the whole night. It was easily the best party i’ve ever been to.

We hired these guys to play for my wedding. They knocked it out of the park. My friends and family are still talking about the amazing job they did. We had the greatest wedding of the year and I give all the credit to the guys from the uptown sound!

These guys are amazing. We hired them for an engagement party and we were surprised at the level of professionalism they bring. They take their work seriously but the music and vibe stays fun. I would recommend them to any of my friends and family. Ask for this guy named Jimmy, I think he’s Armenian.
