Awesome newish concert venue in an unexpected part of town. Gentrification is good and bad but i’ll try to be optimistic here. It’s a year old so facilities are clean — enjoy that while it lasts. Acoustics are great! Lots of rm to move around. Parking is tight but doable. Overall had a great time but cell reception inside needs leveling up.

I was at a show here last week and found out Teragram just had their first anniversary of being open. At this point, I’ve been to five or six shows here and I’ve noticed that the kind of bands I’m into tend to play here. Teragram is about the size of the Echo, if you’ve been there. The venue has a nice layout, with a bar and the merch area as soon as you walk in. Then you enter on either side to get to the stage and a second bar. The drink prices are very reasonable and the floor space makes it easy to see the performers, not matter where you’re standing. I don’t know anything about sound quality, but I’ve had a blast at every show I’ve been to here. The only bad thing is the effing parking. I know«that’s LA!» but seriously, there is zero street parking in this area at night– even on a weekday. There’s a ten dollar lot right across from the venue, cash only. I urge you to either über or take the red line to the 7th/Metro Center stop and stroll over. Can’t wait to see Dinosaur Jr here in September!

Finally got to catch a show at this spot. I dont know if its a new venue on the block or maybe it was remodeled and rebranded but I have really only started seeing this place advertise the last year or so. So he is still a new kid on the block. But none the less they are getting some great acts coming through here. I came here to see a punk band from Sweden called Millencolin. Upon entry, you have a bar to your left and to your right. This is a perfect start to your evening, as with having two like this they really keep the crowds down. Then once you enter the venue you will see a large bar as you walk in that rests in the back behind the sound guy. Venue is fun but that floor in there can get very slippery so watch yourself if you are going in the pit. I slipped a few times, but someone was always there to help me up. Drinks are priced like you would typically find in any LA bar. But the reason here for the 3 star rating was I just felt like the sound was off. I really couldn’t hear the singer, I felt like his mic could have used some more volume. I am sure another artist I will want to see is going to play here so I can update either way. Mabye the sound guy was just having a off night. Overall a fun show and a great spot for a concert. Small intimate venue with lots of areas to hang out and chill. Security was not to harsh for letting us stage dive and crowd surf. CHEERS!!!

There is no seating at this venue, even for a concert where the average age of its viewers is 65 and up. I wish this was mentioned while buying the ticket, and not hidden on the website. Also, it was incredibly hot. They did provide free water in little cups at the bar though, which was nice. Sound was good. Place was clean. Surrounding area is quite sketchy and there are no decent restaurants within walking distance. There is parking right across the street, but be prepared to pay $ 20 unless you get there a couple hours early, which then you’ll pay $ 10. The lot fills up quite quickly, too, so you might want to leave a few minutes before the end of the show or you will sit there for a while waiting to get out. All in all, we enjoyed our performer as always, but if he plays here again, we will probably not make our way up from Orange County to see him here. Seen him at at least 10 other venues throughout California. They’ve all had seating. Even folding chairs would have been nice.

First time here and saw Rooney, 05÷06÷16. The inside of the venue was awesome. You have a great view of the stage from anywhere. I gave it a 3 star because of the bars. I ordered 2 jack and diets from the small bars before you enter the stage, $ 18, 2 hefs, $ 16. Then, I ordered a jack/diet & vodka/red bull where the stage was, $ 27! Wtf. I walked out for more drinks.

3.5 stars I went to the Teragram Ballroom last night for Tegan and Sara concert(5÷3÷16). The venue itself felt very intimate and small, which is special since most of the concert venues are overcrowded with uncomfortable seats. Even though I enjoyed the concert, I do have to mention some negatives about this venue. 1) Speakers were terrible!!! I know, I know, I may have been spoiled with speakers at Coachella and other big venues/events, but seriously, my car’s speakers sound better than the ones at the Teragram Ballroom… 2) Drinks are a hit or a miss… I got moscow mule, which was great! But my friend got the worst old fashioned we have ever tasted in our lives.(Way too much bitters and too littler whisky– it basically tasted like a very bitter watered down whisky :/) 3) Lack of parking– It is LA, in a shady area called Westlake. There were no street parking left when we got there, but even if there was street parking, I think it is better to park in paid lots($ 15-$ 20) around the area so your car can stay safe! 4) Weed smell– I cannot believe people smoke INSIDE this tiny venue! I have asthma and it triggered an attack :(weed smell was so strong that even the performers(Tegan and Sara talked about the smell during their concert) Overall this venue is not bad for a small intimate concert.

Came here for a RJD2 concert and was impressed with how cool this place can be. Its very small and intimate compared to the bigger venues in LA. Neither sound system or lighting rig blew me away but everything here at Teragram Ballroom will provide a fine venue for your artist of choice. For those driving out here there is a lot of street parking in the neighborhood but you have to be there early to even have a chance of getting those. There are secured parking lots across the street for $ 15 with a lot of spaces. Import to me at any concert I got to is the drink selection. I hate how a lot of larger music venues have poor beer selections, but here at Teragram Ballroom they served some craft beers(like 805) in addition to the standard domestics. And best of all its not hiked up to club prices; I think I only paid like $ 7 – 8 for a craft beer. And if you want to pregame it there is a bar literally next door to the place that will do the job and a liquor store on the same block.

GREAT venue. I saw White Denim here and the sound was perfect. The place is easy to get to and the parking wasn’t as bad as I expected after reading some reviews. I’ll definitely keep my eyes on their calendar for upcoming shows.

This is one of those locations that maybe you shouldn’t say anything about, just in fear that it may get overpopulated or «too cool». But this place is amazing and I’m going to tell you about it anyway. Not too long ago I was living in an apartment a few blocks away. I would frequent the bar next door, Monty(a sweet place you should definitely check out). I saw the building stages of Teragram and was delighted to find out it would become a venue(this place popped up in less than a year). Well, I finally bought tickets to see a pretty fantastic show and was so pleased with the turnout of the crowd. The venue is beautiful, open, acoustic and comes complete with an attached café/bar. Security and staff is pretty laid-back, obviously, if you aren’t screwing around. This is a great addition to the neighborhood and I cannot wait to see the musical talent that flows through this place. **Please be respectful of the neighbors and businesses that surround this spot**

Great venue that has booked some pretty awesome bands. Cool café as well. This isn’t really a review though, it’s more of a plea that I hope you all read. As a resident of this area I must say that the fans coming out here can be pretty terrible. Fighting over street parking, leaving bottles and glasses everywhere, peeing on the sidewalk. I get it, its downtown and parking sucks blah blah blah but if you’re paying for a show and heading to the city for a night out, you should expect to pay for parking too. There are at least 5 lots within 2 blocks of this place for all you visitors, please use them! I probably sound like a grandma and a party pooper but seriously, if you’re in the area for a show PLEASEBECONSIDERATEOFTHEPEOPLEWHOLIVEAROUNDHERE. If parking is a nightmare for you, can you imagine all the people just trying to get home?

Great small venue. Maximum capacity is 600 so that’ll tell you how small it is. Sound is great. Place is clean with a friendly staff. Big plus is that if you get there early enough, you can get right up to the stage. I mean to the point that you can lean and rest your arms on it. However, beware that if you place drinks on the stage, security will politely ask you to remove them. In my opinion they are too nice and one warning will quickly turn into seven. When they have had enough, they will just walk up, grab your drink and toss it. It’s actually pretty funny to look at the people that didn’t heed the first seven warnings. They get some great bands in there, so check their calendar often.

It was my first time at this venue seeing RUNRIVERNORTH on 3÷1÷16 and I absolutely loved it!!! It’s definitely a smaller venue but the acoustics are great, lighting is superb, and overall essence of the ballroom is super quaint and has a sweet vintage feel to it. Would definitely recommend for a night out with a small group of friends or even a date! ALSO, BATHROOMSARECLEAN!!!

Great vibes, Great drinks, Boomin’ sounds. Paid this place a visit over a month ago and my ears are still ringing. Okay i’m exaggerating. Came on a Monday night(1÷18÷16) to a sold out show for the Mayer Hawthorne Revue. There’s a parking lot across the street they charge $ 15 – 20. Better to catch an über especially if your show is on a weekday. Once let into the venue there are two bars on opposite ends of the lobby(left and right) The drinks were pretty darn good and the bartenders are more than generous with the alcohol. Now to the main room itself. It’s a mid sized venue but it surely doesn’t feel that way. Lot’s of room to spare. The sound here is phenomenal. From bass that rattles your core to the live drums that smack you in the back of the head. If the artist brings the energy it’ll be multiplied x10 in here. I’m really looking forward to the next show. This time around i’ll try their food and hopefully it tastes just as good as the music.

I like small venues, and this is one of my favorites in LA. The sound was excellent and expertly balanced. The two bar areas allow room to sit/stand and talk, if you’re there early or not feeling the opener. Although I didn’t order food, the plates I saw brought out to other patrons looked very tempting. The surrounding area isn’t glamorous, and I wouldn’t volunteer to walk far at night. There was no available nearby street parking when I attended on a Tuesday. Save yourself the trouble and park at the valet at the hotel next-door. The valet costs as much(or less) as parking in a lot and it’s faster.

Best mid-size rock venue men’s room in LA. It’s only going to get more popular, so do yourself a favor and check it out now while it’s still relatively under the radar. Clean lines, solid acoustics, and excellent lighting punctuate this men’s room experience. I’m also a fan of the retro tile work and large mirrors. To visit, look for the neon sign — stage right, midway into the concert hall. It can be tough to get to from certain parts of the floor, but push your way through crowd. It’s worth the journey. Why? It’s almost never crowded. Even at a sold out show, I had the choice of stall and stand up. And it’s relatively clean. At a rock venue we’ve been trained to expect a half-flooded wasteland, but not so at The Teragram. All in all, The Teragram is a great men’s room/ballroom experience.

Small, intimate facility. Standing room only. Two full bars. Offer a limited amount of food. Parking is sparse. You can park across the street for $ 15.00. Sketchy area in downtown LA I thoroughly enjoyed the concert I Saw here, and will definitely be back

UPDATED: Now 6(increased from 5) reasons this is my new favorite concert venue: 1. The place looks new, clean, and well-kept 2. The sound and lights were perfect. Nice clean sound at the right volume and great modern lighting for the stage and plenty of it. 3, it’s the perfect club size to see your favorite bands up close and personal. 4. I was really surprised by how polite and attentive the staff were. In particular, bartender Michael with the Jersey accent. He introduced himself, made conversation, and made it a point to made sure we were taken care of. No aloof LA bar staff here, thank you. Nice work 5. The décor. These guys made an effort to make the place look cool. It works. 6. The food! This ain’t just crappy bar food. You can watch the cook right next to the bar prepare and cook your food. The potatoes(sliced new potatoes) with creamy sriracha sauce were excellent! I’m not sure who Margaret is but spell her name backwards and you’ll know how they named the place. And lastly, for you newbies who will accuse my praise of this venue as being a fake review, just look at the quantity of check-in’s and reviews I have done and for how long I’ve been a member. This is a real account from a real patron of this place.

I read about this place being re-modeled a while back and was looking forward to going here to see one of my fav bands LUNA. I was really impressed! They did a good job renovating the place, the lighting was top notch. There are 2 bar areas when you enter, one on each side. Then there’s another bar after you walk through the doors to the performance/stage area. I think the max capacity is about 500 – 600 so the views are great and the sound is excellent!

I love this venue! I’ve been here twice in the last 6 weeks for Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal. I was lucky enough to be at the stage both times. The sound for QOTSA was great, but for EODM I couldn’t hear the vocals well I don’t blame the venue for that though. Next time I will definitely wear ear protection 600 person capacity, 3 bars, food(but I didn’t eat) and decent bathrooms And Monty bar next door Parking sucks. Street or $ 20 lot where your car gets blocked in. Über it instead
