They dump all their trash onto Burlington and don’t care if it gets picked up. I’ve walked in to tell them to stop and after a week they started doing it again. STOPDUMPINGYOURTRASHINOURNEIGHBORHOOD. They always assume someone will pick up their trash for them, but they are too lazy and cheap to actually contract or coordinate with anyone. I’ve seen the school kids from next door walk in the street because the sidewalk is blocked. I’ve seen kids on skateboards and elderly residents nearly crash because of the debris. Why are you such a disrespectful company?

Less than three years later, my sofa looks tired and worn. The pillows are sagging and the sofa looks droopy and kind of sad. We don’t spend a ton of time on the couch, we don’t have a lot of people over sitting it … it shouldn’t look so bad, but it does. I’ve had to buy a ton of pillows to help mask the sag and even put a throw or two on… Very disappointed in the quality. As much as I love the concept, I would think twice before buying here again.

: This is a review about the Santa Monica store on Lincoln Blvd. : I ordered a custom chair and once it made it to my living room, it was crooked. In fact, it was 4 inches higher on one side. I will spare you all the details, but it took over 6 months to get it fixed. The customer service at the shop was truly horrible. After 4 months of going back and forth, I was finally connected to the customer service team that deals with mess ups and they were actually timely and helpful. But in the meantime, we had a crooked chair and a very unhappy customer.

It’s taken two days to schedule a delivery. Really annoying playing phone tag. I wish this could be done online instead of the phone. 11⁄14 — I still don’t have my sofa. They couldn’t get it in the apartment despite the copious amounts of measurements I provided. It’s been about three months. Was promised I would have it in two weeks after they cut it in half for another $ 300+. Now that they’ve got my money I have to chase them down w/an ETA. There’s about one person who works in their customer service dept. All indians no chiefs. Frustrated as I’ve given them about two grand.

I first visited The Sofa Company when I graduated college and just started my career. I realized that I have to come back to this store once I save up and buy a home. The Sofa Company has various locations throughout Los Angeles and the showroom is huge with lots of sections to look at and get ideas. The factory store in Commerce is awesome, comb through and you may find a bargain or steal! Like many other people, I look through catalogs and visited other furniture stores hoping to find that perfect white L-sectional for my home. I was able to find somewhat of what I may like but not fully satisfied by either color, size, poor quality of material use, or just plain not my style. Enter The Sofa Company where you customized your own sofa! My L-sectional matches my family room area back wall perfectly. The fabric is high quality micro suede(the store has tons of colors and fabrics to browse through). The cushions are not lumpy and even got teflon coating for stain protection. The sectional is detailed with back cushion buttons, high quality stitching, and is made locally here in Los Angeles! For me the difference in purchasing a catalog sofa versus custom sofa was a little difference in price, but it is definitely well worth it. The staff at the store are very helpful, knowledgeable, prompt, and courteous, especially Cristina and Megan. ***Bottom line, get ideas from other stores or catalogs, you can incorporate these ideas into your own custom sofa. The pricing is well worth having a custom sofa to your likings in every detail and perfection. Plus, it’s great supporting your local businesses and knowing that your sofa was made here in California!***

Had a really wonderful experience at The Sofa Company with Joanna. She was so patient and accommodating. She made the process very easy, never rushing me. I was hesitant to purchase same day because I need time to think about the fabric, so Joanna worked me up a couple estimates based on sofa, and sofa with chaise. I really like the choices at The Sofa Company. They cover all the bases. I’m focusing on good-looking and functional, but they have trendy Mad Men looking sofas too.(That’s my second choice!) Custom made in LA is a huge selling point for us too. Doesn’t bother us at all that we have to wait 4 – 6 to get the sofa in our place. Delivery fees — fine. We don’t want to deal with delivery ourselves. I took a bunch of pics of me and my boyfriend sitting on the sofas and chairs. We sat in every single sofa on the floor. I bet we looked funny doing that! On a closing note, coming from a social media background, I really appreciate The Sofa Company’s online presence. I know that this doesn’t matter to some people, but it’s really cool of them! They have regular photo contests on Facebook too: Upload photo and most LIKES wins their money back. How cool is that?! Double closing note — By writing this Unilocal review Joanna offered me the option to have the delivery guys remove my old couch once the new one comes in! Hell yes! Thanks Joanna. You rock!

actually 3.5 stars… Hubby and I decided to purchase our new sectional with the Sofa Company because of their options for us to customize our own sectional pieces — from the length, the color, fabric, cushions, # of pieces, etc… it was all up to us! We had seen similar pieces at other furniture locations that we had liked, but the fact that we could customize the length & color/fabric with the Sofa Company won us over. Peter was the sales person who helped us with our order at the downtown LA showroom. He was very helpful in answering all of our questions and offered suggestions when we needed them. We went into the showroom knowing what we wanted and purchased our couch within the hour. Now it was time to wait for our sectional! Why the 3.5 stars? We found out a few days after our order that the fabric was out of stock so our sectional would be delayed. No problem with us. However, when the couch didn’t arrive on the new delivery date, hubby and I got a bit antsy as we had already gotten rid of our old couches. We corresponded a lot through email and responses seemed to take longer than usual. We got our couches about 3 weeks after the expected delivery date and it was exactly how we had imagined. Would I recommend the Sofa Company? Yes. Though we were a bit disappointed in the service leading up to the couch delivery, we were extremely satisfied and happy with our order and the service at the showroom.

Months and months of trying to work with The Sofa Company to get the sofa I orderd. Well, I am really beat but I am not giving up. I went to mediation and that ended with no results as they would not agree to make the sofa that we contracted. The Sofa Company is just not willing to make good on what they should have created. I am out a couple grand and there is no getting it back unless I take them to small claims court. Never in my life have I ever seen a company conduct business in this manner. Be warned my follow Unilocalers as this place is a true center for scams, lies and poor work. PLEASENOTE: customers are given incentives to write positive feedback about the product and service. This makes their Unilocal rating higher and seem like a great place. I think not!
