Love this place. Really great drinks and vibe. The bartenders are also really nice. I get an old fashioned and it’s consistently good. Try to go on weekdays cause it’s way less crowded. It’s kinda not really that special when it’s jammed pack and you don’t have a seat. But when it’s early evening on a weekday it’s my favorite bar.

I love this place! I always get my signature drink with the hello Kitty stencil. Comfortable ambience, friendly bartenders & strong drinks are important to me, & Roger Room delivers. Definitely recommend to others.

There is just an over saturation of bars in this part of town, both upscale and divey, but mainly upscale. That being said, this one doesn’t fare in comparison to some of the more high-end lounges in the area. Don’t expect a plush interior, deafening music, or cocktail waitresses meandering through the crowds with sparklers and bottles in hand. This is as divey as you’re going to find in the Beverly Grove area, but it’s a bar with some substance. The drinks are well crafted and the servers did a decent job in tending to our group, even with the influx of people crowding the passageways. I’ll admit I expected to find a little more on the cocktail list, but it was an acceptable one. The ventilation in the room on the other hand was poor. As soon as the bar began filling with a larger crowd you can feel everyone else’s heat, so it was pretty stuffy in there. It was on ok place to grab a drink, either to start the night or possibly to cap a good night off, but not the place to celebrate a birthday, as we chose to do. Regardless, I’m glad I got to experience The Roger Room, I was always curious, and now that’s a thing of the past. I’m likely to stick with the upscale lounges next time around.

This place is awesome, so please don’t tell anyone about it. There’s no sign out front just«370» on the door. Good cocktails, and excellent bar service. Remember, it’s a secret.

Green fairy– a little sweet, but was okay. Not as good as I’ve had for the are, but the bar itself has a lot of charm. Moscow mule– typical. Thug– sweeter than expected… wish I got the old fashioned. Old fashioned– very nice. Okay, the drinks are west Hollywood cocktail prices, so… Ugh. It’s losing a star because the bar smells like cat litter mixed with dinner

Excellent spot! Awesome atmosphere! Pricey but worth it. Hidden gem speakeasy. No sign outside, but there’s a bouncer. Highly recommend.

ROGER = YES This is one of my favorite bars in LA. A trip to the Roger Room is as much a part of my every trip to the Largo as the act itself.(Largo is one of my favorite venues in LA — primarily comedy, but crosses over into music, etc. Intimate and very nicely affordable, with quality programming. It’s not really marked well(if there’s a sign, I’ve failed to notice it. It’s just a doorway with a curtain between the Largo and the smoke shop. Excellent cocktails, charming atmosphere, and usually excellent service as well. No real food, just a few nibbles. A consistent gem. Usually medium-busy, rarely crowded except the last hour pre-show. Go.

How have I not been here before?! My kinda joint for sure. The speakeasy/circus freak show combo they have going here is sweet. I felt right at home. Cushy booth — check. Dim lights, no windows — check. Well crafted, creative cocktails — check. Food — :(well, we bought some nuts to tie us over. I think the choices were nuts, olives, and Wasabi Peas. So anyway, I of course started with a dirty vodka martini. It was as if I had made it myself. Immediate 4 stars! Next cocktail was a «Zucker und Zimmt»; Russian Standard vodka, Licor 43, crushed blackberries, pineapple juice, topped with cinnamon, up. $ 14. It was pretty awesome. I want to try the«Japanese Maple» next time. And their«Green Fairy» looks pretty good too! The service was great– staff always stopped by to check on the drinks. Now it wasn’t too busy yet(Friday night) between 7 and 9, so maybe I’m spoiled now. I may have to Über it next time a bit later in the night. I bet this place gets super fun about midnight. I’ll be back here for sure, sooner than later. Why don’t you join me? Cheers!

Excellent craft drink selection, pick your poison really. I love going to a bar where I get to try new drinks, with ingridients that I’ve never heard of. Nice ambience and overall vibe was super cool. Felt like I was transported back in time :)

A pretty solid lounge/bar with friendly service and unique décor. The small space creates a cozy inviting atmosphere. Felt very comfortable at this place. Price is average LA standard. Only street parking available which is hard to find a spot.

Wow! What a trip of a spot. Not really a dive bar(it’s missing that unidentifiable smell required to qualify as a dive bar), but definitely has this sort of speakeasy/hidden gem sort of quality. A bit hard to find at first, but just look for the«Live Girls»(always a good sign of a high class gentlemen’s club, right) and the Roger Room is the place directly across the street that couldn’t possibly be a bar, right? Since the bartenders looked like they knew what they were doing(maybe the vests and the elastic garters around their elbows?), I figured I’d try one of their cocktails. I picked the spiced mule, their twist on the classic Moscow Mule, with Sailor Jerry Spiced rum and vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg along with your standard MM ingredients. Wonderful drink! The spices really added to the flavor, and were different enough that it was a nice update, but was still definitely a Moscow Mule. I could definitely see doing some serious damage here, but would need to make arrangements for an Über home if I did!

I’m too young to have lived in the 1920s. But I’m sure if I were to have — it would feel a little something like this place. I’ve lived in LA for decades and found this little cute joint a few years ago. It’s all black from the outside. Kind of hidden. Hope you like playing a game of hide n go seek. Because this bar hides and you have to seek for it. There’s a door man dude at the front and he checks IDs. When you walk in — you see a bunch of cute old photos, it’s a small bar, bartenders take you back to 1920s — bootleg era and I’m sitting here thinking to myself«Al Capone would have loved this place.» The bartenders are well rounded about their alcohol. That’s how I like my bartenders. Bar is cute and the drinks are even better, some of the best mixologists this city has got. Tell Em what you want and they’ll whip you something mucho delicioso. If you’re into speciality drinks and dim ambiance, go, baby, goooo!

What a great spot! It feels kind of secret, entering through a curtain into the intimate bar space. There isn’t a ton of seating, so timing is important, if you want to relax and have a few drinks with friends. The bartenders are cute and knowledgeable. They can make you just about anything you’d like and there are some amazing specialty cocktails on the menu. I should also mention the amazing music that plays all night. It’s old stuff, some jazzy stuff and some rock/indie to keep you in good spirits. Highly recommend for a date or chilling with friends.

Awesome(hidden) bar in Beverly Hills. My Über driver dropped me off in front of Trashy lingerie and looked at me weird. LOL Obviously I didn’t know where I was going… Parking: I ubered but there are parking spots on the street. Service & Drinks: I personally think this place is perfect for starting out the night early because it’s pretty dark inside with no windows. I heard it gets pretty packed at night. Our bartender was helpful. He made great drinks for our table and I liked his recommendation. My boyfriend got Japanese maple and I got something with vodka. I forgot the name. Japanese maple was interesting! Other drinks I tried were pretty good too. Price was $$. I’d recommend this place.(If you can find it.)

Bruichladdich Octomore. Swoon. I’m sure they make great cocktails, but you can’t go wrong with scotch. Neat. =) If you’re hungry, plan for a meal before or after. They have a few bar snacks, but it’s really not a food establishment. Vibe is dim and loungy. Speakeasy. Bartenders were friendly. Love their«yes» coasters. We came here because it was highly rated on Unilocal, but also because a local bouncer raved about this place. I hope they replenished the Octomore because I drank the last of it.

The japanese maple imprint is made using a stencil so it is limited. They apparently have various ones that include roger room wording, hellow kitty, lightning bolt, skull and crossbones, and various hands. The overall taste of the drink was delicious as it contained Japanese whiskey Yamazaki. More of a girly cocktail obviously but i enjoyed the foamy taste that was probably the result of egg whites. They have an extensive cocktail menu. The martinis come served with monkeys that hold the olives in place. Very dim light setting and can get very crowded. when you can, try and get a booth table. i liked the old school 80s type of ambience. if i was in the area, i would def give another try

I ADORE Craft Cocktail Bars. So, I fell in love when we hit up The Roger Room. We were in early(the first time we came in) and so it wasn’t busy at all. We sat at the bar and I ordered a fabulous Rye cocktail called On The Take that was a hint of sweet, kind of herbal, with a spicy cayenne finish. It was so wonderful. I followed it up by trying the Straw Man, which was a pumpkin based rye cocktail. ALso very tasty, but not as fab as the On The Take. The drinks are EXPENSIVE. But, sometimes it makes me soooo happy to splurge. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that halfway through the concert I was seeing next door at the Fake Largo @ the Coronet, we decided to cut out and go back for more drinks! That time, we managed to nab a booth and literally 10 minutes later the place was PACKED. This was a Thursday night and fairly early… 9:30ish. It’s not a big bar and you can tell it’s a hipster type place, but I loved the ambiance and feel of it. Cozy, classic, and warm. The bartenders here are friendly and talented. They use super fresh and interesting ingredients. I’m in love and I WILLBEBACK!

Awesome cocktail bar and speakeasy. The bartenders wear black vests and suspenders and make some amazing drink recommendations. The vibe and décor is very swanky(with some whimsical circus décor), but it doesn’t have that snobby«Hollywood» feel. Drink prices are a little steep($ 15 average). Came here on a Tuesday(cue song) so it wasn’t too packed, but I can see this place being claustrophobic on a weekend night as the layout is very long and narrow. No real appetizers to speak of, but if you’re lucky the bartenders will hand out some free grapes. Now who doesn’t love some free grapes!

Not necessarily the cheapest place for drinks, but they do have pretty special drinks I’ve got to say. My friend wanted to get the Hello Kitty Japanese Maple drink, and it was actually pretty good. I got the Old Sport, and it had a good amount of alcohol in it. They also have absinthe! Not many places I know has that! Prices around $ 10+ for one drink for one drink. You can park on the street if you can find parking.
