I’ve been coming here for the past 8 years or so now. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Blanca is my go to women when it comes time to get a haircut and a shave. I’m always here every month for the past 8 years. They do an amazing job! The prices are reasonable and you will be coming out looking all GQ! haha Thanks Blanca!

I’ve been coming here for years, friendly staff and they do a great job on my hair. Decent price and there arent the usual long lines like other places. Fave barbers are Mari(Blanca) and the younger Frank

This place is Amazing! Been coming here for years. Blanca, Frank, Javier and Don Pancho make you feel like your getting your hair-cut in your living room. They tailor the fades perfectly. If you need a good touch-up or something trendy, they got you covered at The Parlor!

Is it possible to give negative stars? I called ahead of time to see if they were busy and the guy says, «if you come right now you’re next.» Within 10 minutes I’m there and as I come to the door, asshole says«sorry I gotta go to lunch.» Wtf?! Unprofessional. They might be good at cutting hair according to these reviews, but I wouldn’t know since I didn’t get mine. To me that says«fuck you, take your money somewhere else.» Who knows, maybe he did me a favor… since I’m looking for a barber shop, and this place looks more like a beauty salon(What I can tell from looking through the glass doors).

Perhaps when some of you were just little whipper-snappers your fathers took you to get your hair cut. Well, when he did that, you were probably taken to the last bastion of manliness left on this earth: the barber shop. A barber shop was(and occasionally still is) the only place left where men can talk about men stuff. Women, you’ve got your hair salons, we’ve got barber shops. The only problem is, they’re disappearing. They’ve recently been placed on the National Endangered Species List by the US government. By now you’re probably asking how you can help save and support the last holdouts of barber shops in Southern California. Well look no further. The Parlor is run by a father and son, Frank Garcia Jr. and Sr. These two guys are fantastic. What’s better than supporting a family-run business anyway? You can go to your Greatcuts and have your head cut by someone who could care less about the traditionalism of the hair cut, or you can come here and taste a piece of shearing nostalgia. It’s like walking back in time. The old-school barber chairs are present, and of course the conversation is cool too. They do a great job on me every time, although that may just be my personal bias. There are even hair stylists that work there if you’re of the gender persuasion known as a female. I can’t really speak to that part of it, since I’ve never gotten a perm or coloring, but I’m relatively sure that they do nice work too. However, this review is more geared towards keeping alive the spirit that infuses all men who want a few minutes alone to talk shop and have their hair cut. It’s located right on Huntington Drive in the El Sereno area of Los Angeles. You can’t miss it. Location, conversation, traditionalism. It’s almost like a Marine Corps slogan. Need a haircut? The few, the Proud, The Garcias.
