The NAIL By Yvette, Ellie & Kimmy

This place is the best nail salon in koreatown. I’ve been going to them for almost two years. They always do an awesome job and are very detail. Ellie did my nail for my engagement photo shoot and my wedding. Yvette is very talented as well, her designs are always vivid and beautiful without any surprise! The most important thing is they are very nice and have great service. The price is reasonable too. It’s by appointment only. Please make sure you make an appointment with them before you go!

Been coming to Yvette and ellie for almost 10 yrs, by far the best ~~ only down side is reservation only but upside of it is that they give you 100%undivided attention and there is no design they can’t do!!!

My coworker goes to this place and she ALWAYS has fabulous nails. So i finally decided to come here and my gosh im so glad i came here. Parking is really easy but you have to come through the dentist door to get to this place. I brought an image of the design i wanted and it looks so cute. Definitely will recommend this place to anyone :)

I got my nails and lashes done here and they were amazing. This place is cozy and comfortable. Ellie and Yvette are both professionals. I couldnt be more happy, the service was great. Go here! you wont regret it :)

Great service and ambience! Ellie makes you very comfortable and does an excellent job whatever you ask for! If you bring your own design, she will do an even better job than the original!
Make sure you make proper appointments ahead of time! I guarantee you will continue to go after your first visit.

This is my go to nail salon! I love going to yvette and ellie because theyre very detailed and clean. They also never ever cut me which is ways a plus. Been going to yvette for 2 years now and I can’t go anywhere else! Yvette always does my nails, but I will also go to ellie if my schedule doesn’t fit with yvette’s. Both of them are very sweet and fun to talk to.
Even when I have a broken nail, they fix it with acrylic extensions and it looks unnoticed and feels light and thin, unlike the vietnamese shops where the acrylics are super duper thick. Like, you can’t even feel that you have extensions on that one finger – they’re that good with it!
I love simple nail designs so I usually come with a picture of a design I want, and they do it for me. But there were a few times I didn’t know exactly what I wanted and so Yvette would do whatever on me while also listening to certain requests. For instance, I would tell her I want white french with rhinestones, and she would do whatever with that and make it pretty :).
I recommend making an appt with either one of them! Prices are normal/​average for LA and they accept CC. They also do eyelash extensions. The shop is located in a small building on western and between 4^th&5^th. It’s upstairs of a dentist building. They’re in between a dry cleaning building and a phở building. The parking lot is small (6 spaces?), but it was never full when I went. You can also park in the phở parking in the adjacent building.

Yvette did a wonderful job on my eyelash extensions. Very clean and natural looking. She really took the time to listen to what style I was going for and explained the details to help me narrow down my best options. Thanks so much Yvette!

I get my nails done every time with Ellie and she’s very careful and gentle unlike some other places that always cut my cuticles. She’s a really sweet person and I go to her all the time.

I love coming here because the two wonderful ladies do their work with lots of care and detail. They also have really great attitudes and they’re super nice!
Their eyelashes are so natural looking and beautiful and their nail art is so on point.
The hair salon that’s right next door is also really great. They do their job with scrutiny and they take good care of you and your hair.
I highly recommend !

I’ve probably been to every nail salon in Koreatown. Serious. And I can say with confidence that vette is the best of nails. yvette is meticulous, attentive, professional, and an awesome designer. She exceeds my expectations.
Compared to her competitors, I think her prices are very fair. But overall, if you’re getting a gel manicure with crazy/​cute/​blinged out designs, then you should expect to drop some money.
Her designs are just way too cute!
Go book an appointment. She books up fast!

I am SO glad I came here as opposed to some other similarly priced salon because Yvette is (in a good way) even more OCD than I am. She is so meticulous with the placement of the lashes that it sometimes makes me want to cry (because I want to be done and over with it already). I hate the crazy fake spider-​on-​your-​lid looking lashes so I made sure to do my research beforehand. After my initial session with Yvette, my lashes looked so long and full but most importantly, natural at the same time! And what I hate even more than crazy fake looking lashes is crazy fake looking crispy lashes! I’ve seen so many girls get poor quality lashes that their faux ones start turning all crispy and gross. Do yourself a favor, pay the extra $ 5-​$ 10 and get some good quality ones from Yvette.

Yvette does the best eyelash extensions. They last much longer than other places and look amazing. She chooses the best lashes based on your preference and the state of your lashes. Everyone asks me where I get mine done. I go once a month for retouches and she basically changes them all out for fresh lashes. Highly recommended.
