The sourdough chicken breast and their orange juice were good. The sandwich came with potato salad and pickles on the side

Was in a rush so ordered«sushi». Worst mistake ever. Salads err on the side of «acceptable I guess», but that’s about it.

Let me first start off, I’ve been a customer for 5 years now as I’ve worked in both CMC and Cooper Building. Their breakfast sandwiches, juices, smoothies, and salads are delish and consistent. BUT the owners side-kick is insane and borderline abusive. Today’s lunch fiasco prompted me to put their horrific customer service on blast! Long story short, I ordered a spinach salad. I got back to my office across the street and noticed – no bacon(which is like one of the main ingredients in a spinach salad lolz). I call them to ask if they could 1) Bring me a new one OR2) Bring me a side of the missing ingredient. The Mexican dude who runs things there was like«Na, sorry we don’t have a delivery person today but I will just give you something free next time»…UMMMMMM. NO. I’m hungry now and there are certain things I can eat due to medication I’ve been taking for a week. Annoyed, I told him I would just waste more time of mine due to their error and return the salad for a refund. I get there within 3 minutes as it’s across the street from my office, and the dude acts like he doesn’t remember our conversation 5 min prior. Then he tries to justify why he didn’t include bacon because he has«day old bacon that would get me sick». Isn’t that not up to code to keep day old bacon anyways? GROSS. Why wouldn’t he have communicated that like«Hey, we actually are out of bacon…» or something to that effect? He then tries to justify me request for a refund because he OFFERED extra veggies when making my salad! LOL!!! My CC was out and asked for funds to be put back on my card. He then THREW $ 8 at me like I was some stripper. Definition of insanity and poor customer service at the extreme? I THINKSO!

This place is such a gem! Located in the bottom floor of the California Market Center(the one with the Union Bank outside), with signs for everything from smoothies, to sandwiches, to sushi! And they’ve totally got it all! The staff is SONICE! and so awesome. I had their bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on white bread and OMG it was oozingly awesome. Like cheese and egg dripping down my arm as I walked myself home, and I did not care. Not one bit. Also had the«System Tune-up» juice(Beets, Carrots, Cucumbers) and it was delish! So fresh, cuz they make it as you order, right in front of you! No fancy stuff, just good old juices! Inexpensive(especially the breakfast combo), awesome service, and stellar food! Defintiely becoming a favorite!

The staff rocks! It’s a low down dirty shame that you would only take advantage of this dominating«deli» when at The Mart, but I am so glad I was there today to indulge in the freshness that is The Mart Café. The gentleman helping me said that the turkey and chicken are roasted and carved on site, so you know you are getting the real deal Holyfield with their meat selection. The sandwich was a delight and so was the experience.
