This review is long overdue. Gaelle, I can’t thank you enough for giving my hair life again! No other hairstylist has ever given my hair volume/​texture like you did. You were very understanding about what I wanted done, you gave me suggestions about how this might be better and you were wonderful, I had high expectations going in about how I wanted my hair done and you went above & beyond. Gaelle is a gem and a half! The hub factory is gorgeous, and like a little surprise off the streets of la’s arts district. i love the care that goes into the space; and gaelle cares, so much, how my hair is doing (she likes it healthy!) anddd that it is rockin’ aesthetically! she is both precise and easygoing/​laid back; it’s a wonderful combination that comes through in both her personality and her work. i’d recommend her and the hub factory to anyone!

First off. Gaelle is such a sweet lady! She’s responsive and very easy to get along with. I told her I wanted some color in my hair and she was able to make it lively. Plus, she’s very passionate about making sure your hairs health comes first. I really like how she dos the bs things and try selling stuff either. She uses products that are good for your hair and really takes the time to make sure your hair is getting the right treatment. She’s appointment only! Thank you for being so amazing Gaelle! :)

I love Nicole! As soon as I walk in, she knows exactly what to do. I’ve never experienced a dry cut before and now I’m hooked. My hair naturally falls perfectly and I owe it all to her. Finding someone who cuts Japanese hair is hard to come by. The best part is, she’s great!
I’m new to LA and I found Nicole on Unilocal.I’m so happy I did because I love her style. She cuts my hair so it doesn’t feel weighted down and flat. Now my hair has volume and it has beautiful flow. I recommend Nicole to everyone.

I’ve been getting my hair cut with Nicole since 2012 and have been very happy every time. Unfortunately for my hair I moved to NYC in 2014. I come back to LA about 3 – 4 times a year and usually wait until back in town to get my hair cut. I had a few bad experiences in NYC since I moved and for the most part mixed experiences in LA prior to finding Nicole, so I’m gonna try an keep my haircuts timed with my worktrips to LA!
I’m not really an easy men’s cut because I never really can explain what I want, but Nicole make me look great (well, as good as I can look that is) and I can’t recommend her more enthusiastically!
Dudes with problematic dews shouldn’t look further!

Nicole is my absolute favorite hair stylist, not just in LA, but in the world. I have curly hair which can be tricky to cut and she does a beautiful job. My balayage gets compliments daily. I’ve recommended several friends to her and they too keep going back. She’s warm and wonderful to spend hours with, a true artist!!!

I’ve been going to Nicole since I moved here 18 months ago. What luck to have found her! I’ve never gotten more compliments on my cut and color. She is an artist as well as a technician. On a personal level, each visit to Nicole leaves me restored – she just such a delightful, caring person. I look better, I feel better. And she laughs at my jokes. What could be better?!

I have been getting cuts from Amelia since her days at a salon in Silverlake. She gives me amazing easy to care for and flattering cuts and is one of the sweetest most genuine people ever. I followed her to The Hub Factory and was introduced to Gaelle for my coloring needs. Gaelle is equally as genuine and personable as she is talented. I immediately received complements on highlights/​balayage and one of my good girl friends now sees Gaelle for her cut and color now, too. You cannot go wrong with Amelia or Gaelle!
The salon is located in the industrial Arts District and boasts an electric, organic yet urban, and peaceful vibe. It is not your typical hair salon but for me it is a breath of fresh air where I go to catch up with my favorite hair stylists and do a little self pampering.

Nicole is a highly skilled technician with a great deal of knowledge and a clear passion for the craft. She is also a careful listener and truly cares about helping her clients LOVE their hair — so important in this line of work, and it’s what makes her great. Prior to Nicole I had many a haircut where I felt that the stylist didn’t really listen to what I wanted and instead just did whatever THEY wanted — not so with Nicole. She’s the best and I’ll never stray!

I visited Nicole last week during a trip to L.A. and I was thrilled with her work. Even though she knew I wouldn’t be returning any time soon (I live in Florida) she treated me like a customer who has been seeing her for years. My hair can be difficult to cut so I really appreciate that she took her time making sure the cut was right and throughout the appointment she regularly checked in to see if everything was copacetic. Not only is she incredibly skilled and detail-​oriented, she is professional and easy to talk to. I’m hoping I can visit L.A. again soon so that I can book another appointment… or convince her to move to Florida! Thanks Nicole, you’re awesome!

I got Gaelle’s info from a friend when I moved here from the east coast over a year ago. Not only did she transition my hair from east to west coast, she also helped me deal with the transition to LA. Gaelle does an AMAZING job on my hair. I’ve gotten my hair done in many cities all over the US and I’ve never been so consistently overjoyed. The color is beautiful, radiant, natural and it lasts. She does wonders on the cut — its modern, trendy and fun. I get compliments from friends to strangers on my hair, and I’m constantly giving out Gaelle’s name. On top of that, I look forward to getting my hair done so I can spend time talking about life with her! I couldn’t recommend her more.

Gaelle is THE BEST. In most things, I usually am never picky but with my hair I won’t let anyone touch it except for Gaelle. There have been times where I have done nothing to my hair for an entire year and Gaelle has always been gracious to fix my hair and bring it back to life.
Every visit I have with her is usually a cut/​color. Some may think it’s on the pricey side, but she is worth every penny. She knows so much about hair, texture, and what looks good according to your skin tone and face shape. She flawlessly colors hair without any nappy net or foil but just by painting it. Gaelle is a true artist. I honestly don’t know what I would do if she weren’t here. I think I would consider moving to France. THIS IS HOW GOOD SHE IS.
Everytime I leave I feel so great. Everyone comments on my hair and always ask where I got it from. My secret is Gaelle! Flawless and such a beautiful soul inside and out.
I highly recommend the Hub Factory and Gaelle Secretin!

Gäelle is amazing. This is the best cut and color I’ve ever had. I have long, thick Asian hair, and she knew exactly how to handle it. The atmosphere of the salon is great. It feels like an unpretentious beach house that you’re just chillin at, while getting the best haircut/​style of your life. Yay I can stop looking for hairstylists!
Tips: — bring cash or checkbook, as there is a credit card fee for small businesses that is passed along
— It’s an industrial area so parking is limited. Don’t be surprised if you have to park a block or so away. But parking is free!

This review is for Nicole, whom I love so much and have been going to for over a year now. She is truly the best hair stylist I’ve ever had, and such a cool girl! I don’t often stray from my brunette-​with-​bangs-​ness but she always manages to keep it fresh for me. She does amazing cuts and color, and great bangs. Can I please stress how crucial good bangs are. To find that in LA, where most places are either janky or 500 bucks a pop, is the golden ticket of hair.
We forgot to take photos but I took these roughly a month after she cut and toned /​glossed my hair. This balayage is from over A YEAR ago! I’ve greferred like 5 friends to her, all whom have had great experiences as well. Plus I love how intimate the studio is. Just really cozy good hair vibes.

She has been coloring and cutting my hair for 3 years now. I have bleached platinum blond, naturally curly hair sooo — a bit of a challenge.
I’ve always been more nervous at the hair salon than the dentist after years of traumatic hair cuts as a child. Nicole knows exactly how to make me feel at ease. First of all by understanding what I’m looking for and making really great suggestions and secondly by making me laugh — she really makes me laugh!
Nicole always spends extra time at the end checking to make sure Im happy with the results. I always feel great after my appointment! I highly recommend Nicole!
