Very cool and hip lil bar and grill. Has free juke box and shuffle board. Friendly staff. I didn’t try food just yet

A little out of the way for me but I’ve recently ventured out into Echo Park and I dig it. I’ve been here a few times to watch the Warriors game with some friends and I love the atmosphere. Bartenders are very friendly and servers are just as nice. Their food menu is pretty basic but I’ve heard their brunch is pretty good. I’ve had their kale salad, fries, and vegan sandwich which were all good but I’m not dying to order it again. Got some good beers on tap and they make a good Black and tan. If you’re looking for a chill place to watch a game with your buddies or even to catch up on a random Monday night, this is the spot.

The Holloway is the best«sports bar» in Echo Park, but it’s also a great place for meeting up with friends. Brunch and dinner items are tasty, the beer selection accommodates craft and domestic drinkers and the service is friendly and attentive. Nice surprises are the mimosa and bloody mary special on Saturday and Sunday and the extremely good chicken wings.

Old trusty. Always good for a chill night. Very unpretentious friendly atmosphere and food. The Old School(grilled cheese and tomato soup) is da bomb. The fish tacos and wings rock too. There’s a nice outdoor area in the back as well.

I can’t believe this place doesn’t have a 5 star rating! I love the Holloway burger med rare– it should be making best burg lists. Staff is great and friendly. They’re always playing games on a few tvs and it’s clutch and also not over bearing.

Nothing is organic in here on the menu. Huge disappointment but I still like the place– just might not order their food anymore.

I’ve come here to watch the World Series and for brunch. Even though there are a fair amount of tv’s, it’s got a pretty good vibe going. My experience with the bartenders has always been pleasant. Some reviewers have said its divey, but I’d say prices are not low enough to be a dive bar. $ 5 for a Budweiser?! Also, it’d be cool if fries came with the burgers. I’ve had the veggie, it’s delicious. I also really enjoyed brunch. Chilaquiles were tasty and bottomless mimosas are a good deal. An issue was that my plate was brought out quite a bit before my boyfriend’s so we ate about half of it before his food came out. The server was apologetic and I had a good buzz going, but that’s probably something most folks don’t like.

I came here with a fellow Aussie friend on a Saturday night, not sure what it’s like any other Saturday(I came the weekend of Thanksgiving) very quite, no real vibe considering the location of this bar. There are other bars on Sunset that have better vibes.

Benefits include a smoking patio open till ten and generally not very many people so easy to get a beer

Chicken sandwich was very good. Picked it up and took it home.

I love the vibe here. Very comfortable. Good food. Good drinks. The parking can suck but that’s Echo Park for you. TV’s galore. There’s even one in the the back patio. The food was good but could have been a little better. I liked my drink but could’ve been stiffer. I will definitely be back for the good looking crowd and staff and the relaxing game watching atmosphere.

This is my Friday afternoon/evening jam! Great neighborhood atmosphere. Great service. Good for sports watching and general happy hour hangin’. Grub is hit or miss, though. Except for the kale salad, which has always been on point. My complaints: Wish they had more bar food munchies to just«snack on.» Not a fan of the ultra-thick potato logs, but that’s a partisan issue. Give some love to skinny-fry nation, too, guys!

Came here to watch the USA-Japan soccer match. Very crowded, noisy, lively atmosphere. Like to come back when it isn’t standing room only. Small, intimate space. The cheeseburgers that passed by looked awesome. They have interesting beers on tap, tried the Harbor Hefe. The loud deafening crowds and sticky floors made me miss Allumette, the scrumptious restaurant that used to be in this space.

This place is okay. Empty and a little divey. It’s like the new little joy if it served food. Menu written on mirrors(tacky and difficult to see). The bartenders don’t smile which seems common for the places the owner runs. Beers and prices are decent. Didn’t try the food, probably won’t. Bathrooms could have used a little attention and I Don’t understand why the coat hanger on the door is at the very top of the door. Not all women are amazons. Overall, meh.

Great little place in Echo Park right off of Sunset. You can usually find a parking spot and it’s never too crowded. Great food, great selection of beers. The Holloway is a phenomenal place with a nice little patio and an ample amount of TVs for game day. You also order and pay your tab at the bar so when you are finished eating, there is no waiting for the check and you can leave whenever you want.

Came here on a Saturday night, before 10. Not crowded at all, but when we left around 930, it picked up quite a bit. This place is a nice cozy spot for drinks and food! The service was great, and the appetizers we tried were delicious. So good that we ordered a second plate of brussels sprout!

I’m a little baffled why Holloway is rated so low. It is the definition of «perfect neighborhood bar.» The burger buns are melt in your mouth soft, and their Holloway burger has more flavor than Umami. I’ve had enough Brussels sprouts to feed a warehouse of southern moms, and these are the best I’ve found so far. Dark, laid back, small + intimate — but incredibly clean and sleek. All the pros of a dive without any of the cons.

Robin! She threw me out and told me congratulations for passing the bar, after I told her I was an attorney and she should be more polite. Guess it’s great to be a brown person that passed the bar! I went there to meet my friend who asked me to meet her, she already ordered and has food and drinks before I got there. She said the food was ok(she ordered a taco because she’s gluten free) and overall service was mediocre, between that and the rude behavior I’m sad this bar isn’t the gem I had hoped it to be in the echo!

The Holloway is a cool little gastropub/sports bar located in the LA hipster capital of Echo Park. The atmosphere of this neighborhood bar is intimate with it’s dim lighting which make the Holloway more of a date spot rather than a pick up joint. There’s is a small outdoor courtyard in back, perfect for a small group. For sports lovers, there are two medium sized tvs at the bar. With an excellent menu featuring bar classics like burgers and tacos, I recommend stopping by for their happy hour and their Taco Tuesdays! I look forward to coming back for their brunch. The food is excellent, but I found the service to be slow and lackadaisical. Pro-tip: street parking is limited. There is a metered parking lot one block south. For those feeling adventurous, there is a large parking lot across the street at the Walgreens, but park at your own risk!

I have not been back since opening week. However, my experience, left a good impression. Good bar and food service. At that time there was no Happy Hour — beers were full price. The sandwiches are quite delicious. I had the Crustacean and the name sake burger. The Crustacean was my favorite, however, at $ 13 no sides it is an indulgence.
