The chicken at this place is absolutely tasty, it’s a must try. They play kpop in the restaurant which I find very cute. Love everything about this place cept for the slow service due to having only 1 person in the front as a cashier and waiter.

I’ve been to this place a couple times for take out. There’s a little bit of a wait, but it’s totally worth it!

Their chicken here is delicious! Also they have great service here. Their chicken is so flavorful and moist. I like to get the hot and spicy gangjung with the spring onion. It’s the perfect combination. Come and give it a try! You will love it! :)

I was here last night and it wasn’t busy but customer service was good though. We ordered regular gangjung? And green onion gangjung. Chicken taste okay it’s like any other chicken restraunt. No speciality on sauce everywhere in k town has same sauce taste. Next time im going to try the cheese fondue chicken? table next to us was having that and looked delicious. The servers were friendly.

Hey guys, if you are a chickin holic, you should try here. Crispy, juicy, hot, and bite-size-boneless chicken wait for you. They have seperate menu and combo, so you won’t get confused what to order. We went there about three weeks ago, it’s located in CGV buliding, 3rd floor. You don’t have to pay parking fee for 2 hrs. Get the parking stamp before you leave. Ordered Half Garlic and Hot&Spicy gangjung, and Corn salad. The gangiung comes with sweet porato or rice cake which is you can choose. I actually prefer Hot&Spicy one than Garlic one because garlic gangjung has strong flavor. Besides, I recommend Corn salade. It’s a valuable. Great location, good taste, nice service. Just looking still? Go now!

Korean Fried Chicken(KFC… get it?! Knee slapper.) distinguishes itself from other fried chicken variations with its tempura-esque breading, double frying method, and underlying sweet and spicy seasonings(gochujang) that coat the finished products. The Gangjung served as a opportunity to indulge in my fried chicken craving. I stopped by on Saturday afternoon and was seated immediately by a friendly server and ordered the ‘Two In One Gangjung’. I chose the garlic and hot & spicy combination. I was disappointed at how underwhelming the order was despite making it a point to pick the most flavorful options. The hot & spicy chicken was mild and fell short on utilizing enough seasonings that characterizes gangjung. The garlic order fared slightly better since I was able to taste the garlic, but again, the lack of salt and pepper on the entire order resulted in a bland experience. Texture-wise, the dish exceeded my expectations. The chicken was fried well and was able to achieve a great crunch, even with a wet sauce coating the exterior. The batter/meat ratio was balanced, which is a factor I look for in fried chicken since I’m always concerned that the batter might overwhelm the meat. I got to try the boneless and traditional options and was happy to see that the juicy integrity of the chicken was maintained through the cooking process. The dbukbokki adds a chewiness contrast to the crunch of the batter while the accompanied pickled daikon rounds out the savory flavor of the chicken. Gangjung has a great fried chicken foundation. It’s well made but I believe it has the opportunity to capitalize on its seasoning developments for a more flavorful product. I would go back again to try out the other chicken options for comparison. The quest for bomb fried chicken is a never ending journey and although I might have missed the mark with this place, the silver lining is knowing that I’ll have to keep eating more fried chicken until I do.

We ordered the whole chicken, half spicy and half original with the dduk. It was good fried chicken. I wish they would make it more flavorful, making it a little more spicy so it had some sort of kick to it and the original should have more seasoning to make it flavorful. But they know how to fry their chicken with just the right amount of crisp.

yessssssss the cheese fondue + chicken + rice cake + yam + rice ISTHEBOMBHERE. This is literally the only thing I get here because the other things are just alright. But the levels of the spiciness is a little iffy here with the cheese fondue. We asked for mild and it was so spicy! The service is whateverz but honestly it didn’t matter because the food was good and they gave us this huge jar of water.

First meal from the Bay to LA and it was buh-bomb. Parking wasn’t too difficult to find and the employees were nice enough to also validate parking! I’ve only had Korean chicken a handful of times and it never seems to disappoint. I got a whole order of ddukboki gangjung and the hot & spicy along with a side order of honey fries and rice.(pickled radish is complementary) The only down side to the restaurant was that it was all doused in sauce and the taste got a bit tiring. This also goes for the honey fries, they were literally drenched in honey; even though that was the literal name, I was just expecting something less intense. Overall, I enjoyed eating here and it was good! Definitely have to come back and try something different.

It’s nowhere near as good and spicy as Kyochon, but there are a number of things I like about it even more: — No bones, so you can eat the chicken with your chopsticks and keep your hands clean — Ddukbokki mixed in with the fried chicken — Complimentary pickled radish — Conveniently located in the same mall as my favorite bing soo place We ordered the gangjung chicken, half original and half spicy. Nice and crispy on the outside, tasty sauce, tender meat, love the dduk. My only real criticism is that quite a few of the pieces were on the small side and didn’t have any meat in them. Still, it was more food than the two of us could finish. Definitely willing to come back!

This place is pretty much my go-to for chicken when I’m in koreatown. I always get half and half original and spicy chicken with fries and it never fails to satisfy. if they ask you for sweet potato or dduk(rice cake) I recommend the dduk! Service is pretty good considering how busy they usually are. I loveeee the salad. they mix hot sauce and salad dressing together to create their perfect spicy salad. despite the bad reviews they’ve been getting, I personally enjoy my experiences here. Some of the chicken today was a tad bit over-fried(but these were only small pieces so it’s ok).

I always come here with a friend when craving fried chicken! Love that they have so many options/flavors for chicken! We usually order the padak and garlic chicken! The chicken also comes with sweet potato or rice cake! Both are delicious!

I usually love coming here and I still do, but I ordered take out once and I got no meat. Only fried parts with no meat in the center so I was very upset.

Ok… I don’t relate with the negative reviews because I’ve never had a bad experience from all of the times I’ve eaten here. I’m really bummed that it is being critiqued on very subjective matters. First of all, I am health conscious but it is completely normal when there are days I crave fried chicken. and this is the only place I would think of coming to and here’s why. I love the FRESHness of the ingredients, especially the salad and the spring onions topic. If the vegetables are fresh, I can imagine the other ingredients to be fresh also. The chicken is perfectly cooked. The sauce batter is evenly distributed. Plus it tastes YUMMY And if you care about the environment like me, I should mention that it has a variety of upbeat/mellow Kpop music, nicely lit but not too bright, and thoughtful interior design. I think it can be more lively but the SERVICE have always been very respectful and kind. Food + Service. In the end those are what matter, right? They even let me have extra sides(raddish and salad) without charge. It’s great place to come with friends for a nice conversation. Can’t wait until they get more customers in here. If you need recommendations on what to get, I always get the 2 in 1 combo(spring onion and garlic) or the Combo A, depending on the number of people I come with. Flavors are just what you would expect!

Ehhhh this place is aight. Chicken is eh. The(green onion chicken) is pretty good, but everything else is just bleh. It’s pretty sweet though. The fries are really bland. The workers took a long time getting the fries. I got my chicken before the fries lol. Also, it’s overpriced.

Tram D and I had high hopes this place would surpass its 3 star rating and boy did it disappoint. The chicken starts tasting the same after a few bites and by the end of the night my jaw started to hurt. Lucky for us we saved money by canceling the garlic fries that they forgot to give us. These guys are inattentive and I don’t recommend this place at all.

This is on the top floor of Madang mall on Western and(near) Wilshire. I like it since the parking structure is pretty big and there is always parking(the parking structure is not the most well designed. You’ll see what I mean when you go). The food here is a bit sweet like some reviewers mentioned, but it’s good overall. I’ve tried regular fried, sweet and spicy, and garlic. I usually get sweet and spicy with dduk(rice cake) and other dishes with sweet potato — you can choose either rice cake or Korean sweet potato in the dish. Service is good. I’ve eaten there a couple of times and had a to-go order as well and my experience has been very pleasant each time.

Ok finally came here and tried it! I enjoyed it! I’ll come here again to fulfill my chicken cravings when I’m in ktown! Just hate that it’s inside the Cvg building. Such a headache to get there and to find parking inside the structure *MAKESUREYOUGETYOURPARKINGTICKETVALIDATEDWHENYOUPAY!

Ummm. I liked it. Parking: This is in the CGV madang plaza. You can park in the garage and get your ticket validated. Service: I understand it’s not an easy job… but can you all please have some smile on your face? Our server looked pissed. LOL Also, they charge for extra radish if you’re taking it out. Food: I really liked the sweet&spicy and garlic one with rice cake and sweet potato. It’s easier to eat than the regular chicken because there’s no bone. so basically you don’t have to get it all over your fingers. :) Corn salad was also good. I wished they didn’t put so much soup in the salad though. Just get the corn and drain the soup please! Pretty perfect for my chicken & beer cravings!
