The portions are so small compared to other flame broiler places I’ve been. Never coming back here again. It is close to work and would love to go more often but not for that price/portions. They fill it up a little less than ¾ way.

Best fast Teriyaki Bowl in Downtown Los Angeles, the customer service is great. Be sure to get your sauces, otherwise it’s not the same.

Got the angus/chicken combo plate, large portion, nice service, tasted pretty good with nice brown rice and side salad, meat on the charred and salty aide. Unfortunately GI distress followed the meal.

Cheap asses! Every time I go here to order a bowl I feel like I’m short changed on the portions. The flame broiler by my house never fills it up only half way. How is this supposed to fill me up?

Decided to finally walk into this location after leaving the gym. A cashier by the name of Ileana took my order, and was very very polite. I was impressed by her customer service not just with me, but with everyone else. Ileana, I applaud thee, for I know how hard it can be at times to remain friendly in DTLA. I ordered The Works bowl and it was delicious. The angus steak is so juicy and the chicken was too. The brown rice was delicious as well. This place is really clean as well. I definitely will be coming back again.

It’s probably more than A-OK, but I call ‘em as I sees ‘em. And the Chicken Bowl I got today was fine and cheap and had some flavor, I will admit. Calling this place Persian or Korean seems a stretch(Hello App), but if you’re looking for somewhat healthy and definitely hearty food, the Flame Broiler may be a good match. Couldn’t have taken less time in prepping my Bowl, but I did order the possibly the most basic dish. I appreciated that I had a choice of brown or white rice, and the chicken itself was a bit candyfied to my taste, but it was OK. The standard Chicken Bowl comes with dark meat and the rice. Add the green onions by request(but do so immediately as your order, or, like in my case, they may forget). For a few dollars more, upgrade to All White Meat. That’s what the guy in front of me ordered, but he still had a to wait a bit, fyi. The marinated jalapeños were tasty and superceded my need to add more spice or sauce to the bowl. It’s fastfood that makes you feel a little better about what you’re eating. I would definitely return and try some other stuff. It’s a popular option in DTLA at lunchtime.

I was starving after a long day at the convention center. so I decided to get THEWORKS($ 7.95) for dinner. This plate definitely comes with the works. Fruit, veggies, rice and loaded with chicken and beef. I definitely recommend getting just the beef instead of the chicken. The chicken was torn up into small pieces and it was really dry. However if you get some ‘magic’ sauce, the meat taste a little bit better. Oh sorry to burst anyones bubble, but the magic sauce is teriyaki sauce.

Ordered a chicken bowl with no sauce, extra chicken. After I ordered, the cashier proceeded to take out a bag of trash from the trash bin, and then help the next customer and accept cash, and then straight to handing a different unassuming customer their order from the window. No hand washing in between any of those… ew. He then disappeared to the back for a minute before handing me my order, I can only pray that he washed his hands. The chicken I had a nice charred flavor but was extremely overcooked and not worth 9 dollars. I’m giving them two stars because there are a lot of healthy options and hopefully that cashier was just making a one time(disgusting) mistake.

About a third of the chicken was charred black from overcooking, so I had to throw them away. Also, the meat smelled of lighter fluid or some sort of gassy source. This was my third time at this location, and it has been consistently disappointing. I like the idea — fast healthy chicken rice bowl — but the reality is far from the ideal.

Their bowls are pretty good and they always fill me up. The meat and rice taste fresh and by that I mean they do not taste«old.» The only issue with this location is the parking. It is going to be hard to find a cheap parking spot. Unless you live near the downtown area, then you can just walk it.

pretty good bowl ish cheap lunch menu. i go here and get the chicken bowl with all veggies, no rice. its around $ 7 and taste good. some times i think the veggies are made of rubber, but for the price and amount of food they serve, its ok. this location is kind of small, but has seats for 50 ish people, and seems kind of loud most of the time due to the peope and traffic right outside the door. its a busy location at lunch, Downtown LA, right next to a bus stop. so all kinds of «interesting» people outside and inside. so i get it to go. menu has chicken and beef and maybe pork, i forget. you can also get all white meat chicken, fo extra $. staff is always nice and i call my order ahead for less wait time. cool fast luch stop if youre in the area.

This place is very good. I needed a good, healthy lunch in a hurry and it delivered! The food was excellent, the dining room moderately clean, which is outstanding considering this downtown location, and the cashier, Adé, was very sweet and pleasant.

The food is good, however the cashier had the worst attitude. Makes me not want to go back

If you go here expecting healthy and tasty meat, you will be disappointed. If you go here expecting one notch up from Subway, you will be very pleased!

I absolutely love this place! I come once a week for my weekly all VEGGIE Chicken bowl! yummy, delicious and sort of healthy lol ! I prefer this location instead of the one on Figueroa and Adams.. veggies here taste fresh and actually look GREEN… :) walking distance from my office… I can’t complain… well only one small complaint. .I miss the Sirracha hot sauce… but their hot sauce is growing on me hehe

There are a million places in DTLA for great food, this little place has great food, but the staff is amazing. I wish I could hire all of them!

Quick service, you can get your food in 5 minutes. I’ve been here during the lunch rush and it’s not so mad, still for our food really fast. It’s very clean, and spacey inside so you can find a place to sit and eat. Don’t get the mini meals, they’re soo tiny … U can get a regular sized one for $ 1 more!

Mini chicken bowl with steamed veggies and brown rice. Literally the size of my hand. Perfect amount for lunch! Decently healthy, fast food! The«magic» sauce is just teriyaki sauce. Why do you call it magic sauce? So weird. Anyway, too saucy/thick/sweet for my liking. Sriracha only, please. Don’t forget to ask for a stamp card!

Had the works plate with brown rice. This place has yet to fail me. Good, clean food at a very reasonable price. I mix the magic sauce & Sriracha for that extra kick. YUM!
