The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Staff are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The menu is pretty standard, and it’s a good peaceful environment to get work done for a handful of hours. Lots of UCLA students seem to meet here for small study groups or to work independently. This location also has a wonderful outdoor patio with a fire pit that makes this an ideal spot in the evening. The bathroom is also very clean.

I go to this coffee bean almost every day before work. There’s usually no line when I come in, and fog there is it moves quickly. I’m a huge fan of the seasonal bakery items — especially any kind of frosted cookie! Look out for promotions, too! I got my fair share of free drinks by loading up $ 30 at a time on my Coffee Bean Card, and they always have some kind of fun deal for free drinks or extra rewards — and there’s free wifi! This is definitely my favorite place to kill time before work :)

James, the shift supervisor, turned my usually mundane visit into a delightful experience. That’s saying a lot since our overall time spent was a minute, and I’m writing this review just to tell people about how awesome James was.

This location is great for studying as there is a lot of seating available with outlets located nearby as well. Outdoor seating is also available but if it gets too hot, indoors has air conditioning.
The place is really clean too.
The staff is great, they remember you by name which I thought was funny.
The Parking lot is spacious however It can get a little crazy on weekends so just have a little patience.
I’m just happy they have almond/​coconut milk here to substitute into my drinks.

Generally everyone here is pretty nice, which is really great. There is a private free parking lot behind the establishment and outdoor seating, free wifi, and a TV. It’s everything you could imagine in a coffee bean! I really enjoy their selection of teas and almost always leave with some sort of green tea!

Love coffee bean… My only complaint is that they’re a lotttt slower than Starbucks. They don’t have a fast system

I probably buy coffee twice a day at coffee bean. THIS ONE NEVER HAS HALF & HALF and they make NO EFFORT TO BUY ANY even though there is a store NEXT DOOR. Granted, you may not choose half & half like I do, but shouldn’t a coffee shop carry it? And maybe tell you before they sell you coffee that they don’t have the most traditional «condiment»? Just saying — in any case, this is also probably the sloppiest managed Bean I’ve ever been to, so treat yourself and hit up the one on Westwood instead.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is wayyyy better than Starbucks.
Sorry, but it’s true. I love the staff in this particular coffee bean. They seem genuinely happy to take your order, and it comes out in record time. I’ve seriously never received a coffee so quickly in my life. Thanks guys!

One of the worst locations! Super under staffed and slow. For 7:30am you would think they would have more people working

The dude at the register recommended a shot of espresso in my chai to help start my day, it’s what I needed.
Then while I was waiting for my beverage I saw the dude making drinks give one guy a small cup on top of his with the extra that was made from his drink. I’m sure it’s not a usual thing, but it made the guy’s day who came in and that’s what customer service is all about.

Always yummy and satisfying. I love their Vanilla ice cold coffee

Why close at 8:30? That’s really early. Other than that, I like this Coffee Bean very much.

Addicted to their hazelnut latte and yogurt parfait. Great place to relax on Ur lunch time or study and get work done.

This is a nice location with a great staff and they make my favorite CBTL item, an ultimate mocha, just rightt.
Gotta love their chocolate covered coffee beans, the main reason I keep coming back here.
I prefer the coffee and service here over Starbucks, perfect mid afternoon pick me up!

Fantastic cheerful staff here.
Got my normal drink, but somehow it mixed up and gave me an iced cherry blossom tea instead of a hit latte. Rather than give me attitude, the barista cheerfully made me another drink and told me to keep the iced tea.
Awesome. Keep up the great work.

not a lot of seating and there is a «morning men’s club» that has a few old geezers who get a bit rambunctious after a little caffein.
Free valet. Just like I like it!

Neutral: Music is hit or miss.
Bonus: Comfy leather chairs, if you can snag one.
Plus: Baristas are nice and don’t freak out when I ask them to wash their hands (unlike Starbucks peeps).
Plus, Plus: Free parking in the lot by Walgreens.
Fail: Annoying that the wifi kicks you out every other seven minutes.

I really like it they put more money into this location and remodeled because the seating arrangements given about five months prior didn’t seat that many people and didn’t make sense.
The bad, Sadly I’ve seen a lot of good baristas go and I hear it’s because of the store manager and that she’s very hard to deal with it. I’ve actually seen tension between her and her staff in the past and found or extremely unprofessional. This was months ago maybe things have changed hopefully.
I come about once or twice a week the coffee and the bakery stuff is consistently okay. I wouldn’t say super but I wouldn’t say that they’re worse than any other coffee bean locations.
I really also like that they added more wallplugs kudos to that!!!

Even though they had 5 or 6 employees working, the line was over 5 minutes long. Then I ordered an iced tea… Stood there waiting patiently for 10 minutes. The cashier noticed me many times but never made the connection I suppose. Anyways, one barista said «do you need anything?»… And I expressed I never got my iced tea… He said «oh, I think someone took yours». But that’s impossible because I was standing there the whole time. No sorry or anything.
Obviously extremely unorganized.
But if you wanna wait 15 minutes for an iced tea… This is your place.
