I’ve been writing a novel, and it helps to have this place available for caffeination! You can sit outside with your dog and chilax. Staff is SUPER nice, and there’s free entertainment with the older gentlemen who talk about horse racing all day. WiFi can be spotty, but there’s FREE parking. In Los Angeles, that’s unheard of.

I’ve been a daily customer at this coffee bean for six years. Pretty much all the staff know me at this location. Everyone is great at their job always smiling and acknowledging people immediately.

Coffee shop checklist:
1. Tasty drinks: Iced black tea was okay. Good size though.
2. Friendly people behind the counter: Check.
3. I-​feel-​ready-​to-​work-​but-​will-​watch-​hours-​of-​Youtube ambience: Not the most cozy atmosphere. Lots of people coming in and out.
4. Outlets, the all-​important outlets: Iffy.
5. Table real estate: Limited inside.
6. Clean bathroom: Check.
7. Youtube-​ready wifi: Check.
Coffee Bean is more of a grab a drink to go place rather than sit down and watch Youtube videos all day place.

I only go to coffeeshops to get work done, so that colors most of my impression of the establishment. This location has ample seating and great outlets, which is a plus. You can sit inside by the windows or outdoors on the shady patio. The clientele ranged from cute babies to surly bookworms, and the busy traffic times are apparently heavily influenced by the nearby theater. The drink options are standard fare, but my Chai tea latte was served in a glass — very classy. I appreciated the foam, but the taste overall was average. A little too milky for me — reminded me of condensed milk. The internet is a little bit slow, so bring your books or hotspot if you wanna go crazy on the internet. The service was good, but they said they were a bit understaffed during my visit, so that may explain the less-​than cleanliness. Average study spot, not the coziest but still a good place to get some work done and people watch.

I love this location, clean, plenty of seating, great service and the best blended drinks of any large coffee chain!
Sugar free mocha every time, love it!
Fuels me through the rest of the day, made perfectly and quickly, I’ll be back!

One of the original CBTF locations and still tops in my opinion. The originators of the ice blended coffee drinks and still makes some of the best in the city. A well staffed crew ensures timeliness of completed orders and shorter wait times. Service is warm, friendly and helpful. There is a large well lit, covered outdoor seating area complete with heating lamps. And LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
There is a lot of good, positive energy at this Los Feliz location and this usually seems to attract some major «eye candy.» Spacious, relaxed atmosphere, good energy (in spite of being cojoined to a packed Albertson’s store parking lot), convenient outdoor seating, lots of beautiful people… I cannot tell you if it is the best CBTF but certainly it’s my favorite location.

The service here is quick, efficient, and friendly. Even on busy days the drinks come out quick and if you need an adjustment they’re more than happy to help you out.
Love how its in the heart of the hipster Hillhurst neighborhood in Los Feliz but the customers are varied, most of them coming here to work on their laptops. There’s lots of seating inside (tables and bar stools) and outside, with a fire pit on the patio.
As with all Coffee Beans, their pastries are
pretty run of the mill but you’ve got McCalls and Café Los Feliz just a 2 minute walk away if you really want a snack with your coffee.

Located in the Albertson’s shopping center, this is a nice CBTL in the Los Feliz area. The parking lot can get a bit better, but it’s larger than other coffee places in the area.
There aren’t many tables inside, but there is a very nice outdoor patio.
The staff has always been very nice and my order always comes out very fast!
Whenever I’m in the area, it’s my go to location.

The coffee bean on hillhurst Ave. has been by far my favorite location. The workers are funny and social. They joke with you and are so nice. Very patient and give great service. The location had a big patio where you can chill with your friends. They provide wifi and it’s a great environment for homework and business meetings as well. Great place.

The workers here are great and friendly. Love their ice blended drinks except their mocha tastes like chocolate milk, not a coffee drink.
What makes me give them only 3 stars is that their wifi is ridiculously slow. There’s only 2 other people here on their laptops, and for good reason. This is not acceptable for a café.

This is a really busy location but they work fast, aiming to keep customers happy. I liked that and the patio outside too. I usually order an iced vanilla latte but this time I got an ice blended Black Forrest, one of my other favorite drinks! Overall, great location and tons of parking shared with Albertsons. Can’t beat it.

Easy to park in the lot attached to Albertsons. Clean with both indoor and outdoor seating. The patio is so cute with umbrellas and fire heaters. Staff is friendly, and even though it’s always busy here, the line is really never too long. I just wish they opened earlier. I think they open at 7am, but by that time, I’m already at work.

I love green tea and they have so many varieties of green tea! Love it~
Coconut Pineapple muffin — Very moist and can really taste small pieces of pineapple inside the muffin. Lots of shredded coconut on top.
The Parking: Sharing parking lot with Albertson market. (free)

THE AMBIANCE:
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is located in the Albertson’s parking plaza. The coffee bar stretches from one wall to the other. They have an assortment of pastries and other food items inside a glass casing. Muffins, bagels, fruit, etc. I liked that they had a good amount of different kinds of bagels. Other than that, it looks like a regular chain coffee shop. This location has a large outside patio, which is nice. The sun shines through.
THE COFFEE:
I ordered a chai latte and I have to say it tastes way better than Starbuck’s chai latte. It was really good. My friend ordered an iced coffee and they put WAY too much ice in the cup. It was basically half ice half coffee. Watch out for that.
THE TIPS:
A nice spot to go have a coffee and sit in the patio.

One day offer featuring the ice blended drinks! It’s a regular-​sized ice blended drink of your choice for $ 2 flat. My co-​workers arrived at 2pm when the deal begins and there was no line. One of the cashiers might have been new because he wasn’t sure what to enter into the computer but there was another cashier who helped him out.
I absolutely love the ice blended drinks here compared to Starbucks frappucino drinks. So far, my favorite is the dark chocolate. My co-​worker tried the affogato over an ice blended hazelnut. Apparently it’s delicious.
I’m not a big fan of their coffee drinks but I’d recommend the ice blended drinks. I’ve heard the teas are good too but I haven’t tried them.
