Came here for a late dinner last night and had a perfectly okay experience. This spot is very L.A. All the people working here and all the customers are all beautiful and trendily dressed. I found it amusing. The drinks are perfectly fine and we now live in a world where $ 12 for a drink is not a bad price at all, so there’s that. We tried the mac and cheese which was delicious and I would come here just to have it again. We also got the Italian sausage pizza, which is a good size for sharing between two people, but I thought the flavor was just okay. I would get a different pizza or something else completely. The table next to us ordered the spaghetti and it smelled really good, so maybe that is worth a try. A decent option for a meal or just a drink if you are in the area, but I wouldn’t consider The Churchill a go-to destination.

Such a gorgeous space. Lots of wood, candles, a fireplace on the patio… there’s a Photo Booth upstairs and the most gorgeous wallpaper I’ve ever seen(it sparkles.) The staff is wonderful and the food and drinks are solid. Happy hour from 3 – 7, I had the Nose Job IPA, the portobello fries and an Old Fashioned.

Cute little restaurant but it wasn’t an enjoyable overall experience. The music was too loud! The waitress taking our order couldn’t hear us and vice versa. The service was very very very slow. It took about 15 – 20 minutes before we ordered our food. Our drinks came about 20 minutes after we ordered. We had to order our second round of drinks almost immediately after our first round was served. We figured by the time we got the 2nd round we would be finishing up the 1st, but nope wrong, still had to wait about 10 minutes after the glasses were empty. Food was ok not bad but not good enough to justify the wait. Portions were very small. The avocado toast was very salty and had little avocado in it. The chilaquiles were ok but could use more egg and some type of sauce. We were still hungry at that point so we ended up not canceling the French fries that didn’t come out with our food. We got it about 20 minutes after everyone was finished eating. Music unpleasantly loud Food ok Portion size below average Service — slow slow slow Parking — Steer parking or valet

Ate here late one night. It’s noisy for sure. And I thought the food was alright. Nothing spectacular. More of a place to hang out and drink and see who you can meet rather than come for a really good meal.

Most definitely the WORST service I had. Called ahead on a Sunday to reserve for a party of six and said that we’ll be there in 15mins. asked if there was a line, the lady said that it won’t be long. We got there the hostess said that it was an Hour &15mins for the wait plus Brunch was ending at 4pm. inspite of what we explained to her when we called like 15mins before that, still no accomodations were made. Definitely not coming back here, so disappointed.

This was one of those situations where I had 2 minutes to decide where to eat and just pointed to one on my Google maps. And is was a home run. I had the short rib hash off the brunch menu and a Bloody Mary. They both were extremely well crafted and the prices were really good for LA. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and a menu that had so many good choices, it was hard to pinpoint just one. Definitely recommended and will certainly be back!

I have been here twice for brunch, the last time being two Sundays ago. The recent time, I was staying at the hotel so it was pretty convenient to just walk down for bunch. Service was good and efficient, and my breakfast sandwich(fried egg, avocado, cheese and tomato jam) was pretty perfect. This is a pretty popular spot for singles for Sunday brunch it seems. I was basically in sweats while everyone else seemed to be dressed up as if it were a Saturday night in a bar. I only had a glass of bellini but I do know they offer bottomless ones(as well as mimosas and such) so that helps with making it a hot spot. Great spot to watch sports, too as they have multiple TVs by the bar.

Stopped in for a couple drinks because it was pouring outside and we didn’t want to stray too far from our parking spot. I haven’t tried the food here, but the drinks were good enough. My favorite part about this place is that if the bar area is packed, you can take your drinks upstairs. They have a few small tables there that are romantically lit, and a couple by the window that’s nice for people-watching. I tried the One Cool Woman and it was a berry-tastic nightcap. Bartenders were really cool and I would definitely come back here to try the food! PS. If you’re on a date, there’s a PHOTOBOOTH upstairs! Good excuse to snuggle in private, teehee.

We came early on a Friday night and they didn’t have our reservation ready. So they put us upstairs in a totally empty area so they could ignore is better. Then the server/hostess was completely unimpressed that we had showed up at all. She barely spoke and seemed super annoyed. She was rude basically. The food was sub-par. The pizza was good, but unimaginative, or lazy? It was lazy food. We sent back a dish(which I have NEVER done) and she didn’t blink and eye. I would basically NEVER go back. Which, I guess, from my last experience, they wouldn’t care anyway!

Beware of the valet. We parked our car with their valet service and got an expired meter parking ticket in the mail a few weeks later of $ 63. Their valet must have thrown out the actual ticket from our windshield before returning to our car to us. When we called the manager at The Churchill, she said this stuff happens from time to time… WHAT!!! Not going back.

Went for Sunday brunch and the place was empty. Got seated right away. Our waitress was nice and fast. Food was tasty and delicious. The coffee… Eew… No amount of sugar or cream made the bitter coffee any better. This coffee reminded me of that bitter old lady we all know, no matter how nice you are, she’s ugly and bitter.

Came here for dinner during one of my girls night outs. We got our nails done in Beverly Hills and stumbled upon this place when it started raining outside! The inside dining area was full but the staff managed to make arrangements for us to wait away from the rain and quickly found seating within 10 minutes. The Pappardelle with mushrooms and asparagus was great. The wood fire pizza was pretty tasty. We tried the one with Italian sausage, pesto, and ricotta. However, the rest of the meal wasn’t too memorable for me. The ambiance is not to my taste. Very industrial/steamed punk era/grungy? I’ll probably hit up milo & olive if I want similar artisan pizzas since its a much shorter drove for me.

Love the happy hour here. I’ve only been here for happy hour. The service is friendly and the cocktails are yummy and a great deal. The portobello fries and sliders are yummy. The restaurant it self is super cute. I’m becoming a regular. Bring your girls here. It’s an especial good place after a day of shopping at the grove or Beverly center.

Cute gastropub with comfortable American food and crafty cocktails. There is an upstairs where you can ask to see if you can hold a private party. If they decide it isn’t going to be too busy, they will give you the whole top floor. … nice!(but tell too many people) Dinner was yummy. I very much enjoyed their wood-fired pizzas including: tuscan black kale — herbed goat cheese /sunflower seeds /taleggio /olive oil italian sausage & house ricotta — chili pesto /sundried tomato /parmesan /roasted garlic Def comming back for seconds!

Pro-tip: happy hour, good pizza. Ambiance: dark, subway tile, reclaimed wood, Edison bulbs, skip. PHOTOBOOTH, YES. Notes: It’s sceney. You might catch Jessica Alba outside walking by or Tobey McGuire with his crew stopping in for a drink.

The Churchill has got to be, one of the best place to have brunch, in the heart of Los Angeles area(Beverly Hills/Beverly Grove), and only about a block away from The Beverly Center. My Brioche French Toast was so good that a handful of our entire team member, ordered it the very next day. They make their dough fresh daily which explains how fresh their plate of Pretzel that I ordered during their happy hour was. Another excellent Happy Hour order is their homemade meatballs. The sauce alone was so good! Another convenience here is their organic Juice Press Bar, located just outside of The Churchill(The Orlando Hotel). They also serves Verve coffee which is fantastic. Breakfast is served at 7am, brunch is from 11 – 4, and Happy Hour begins at 4pm daily. Until then, Cheers! ~ :p

It took me a long time to figure out how I wanted to rate this place, because as much as I like it, there were some things that I did not.(so maybe like a 3.5ish) My friends and I decided to eat here for dinner as it was a place both of us have been dying to try out. Parking is always terrible in this are of LA, especially at night. Luckily I found street parking a block or two away from the restaurant. My friend got there a bit earlier and placed his name down on the waiting list. It was at night, so I understand that it was during a busy time, but the wait took longer than expected, and it seemed like we were the only ones waiting on a table. They do not have a place to wait, so we had to wait outside unfortunately. The place was very dark very hard to see anything let alone the menu. It was candle lit, so it did have a very nice intimate setting. When we were finally inside and seated, we kept getting two different waitresses, and it was more confusing and who was supposed to take our orders. we got seated next to the bar, which was not to my liking because we did not plan to drink that night and it was very noisy. When we finally received our food orders, we did not expect the sizes to be so small. I remember one of my friend orders a spaghetti plate which is a big plate, and we expected it to be share with the three of us, but to our surprise, it was not even enough for her alone. The one main dish that I truly remember liking was the salmon tartare. It was my favorite out of all of our orders. I am not saying the food tasted bad, because I really did like that I got, the beef short ribs. It was really flavourful, and ultimately was pleased. Yes the portion for mine was a small plate, but the overall end of our dinner left me wanting more.

I came here for brunch this past Sunday. The first thing I noticed is that the street parking in this area sucks. You’re better off using valet parking. There was a pretty good selection of drinks on the brunch menu. They offered bottomless mimosas for $ 12. However, because I had to drive and had somewhere to be immediately after, I did not partake. Service was a little slow. It took around 10 – 15 minutes for us to get our drinks. It took another 10 minutes for the waitress to come back and take our food orders. I ordered a breakfast burrito, which was alright. It was kind of bland-tasting, so I asked for hot sauce. The breakfast potatoes that came with the burrito were really good though.

We wanted a place with a cute patio, refreshing drinks and good tapas. This place has a fun and vibrant vibe. Unfortunately, there were a couple hiccups. We ordered a mojito, «sorry we are out of rum» ahh okay, I’ll have the(Moscow mule) with Hendricks. It was delicious, hit the spot with the cucumbers. We started with the baked Brussel sprouts, pretty good. Attempted to order the short ribs, no can do, out of those too! So, we ordered the hand-cut spaghetti – amazing! Had wonderful flavor. I’m glad that the things they did run out of where replaced by things that were pretty good. It took a while to get the check to close out but all and all it’s a cute little spot. They close at 9:30 on Sundays, seemed a little early to me.

Street parking sucks on a Saturday afternoon so we did valet, $ 6. The music is loud here(live DJ) and the vibe is trendy(very LA, if you know what I mean). My friend ordered a create your own pizza and I ordered off the DINELA lunch menu(avocado toast and fried chicken & waffles). The pizza was pretty good but they left out one of the toppings that we ordered. My avocado toast was just okay, it comes with a generous amount of burrata cheese. However, the avocado was not pure avocado, I could tell they mixed it with some sort of salsa verde(not what I expected). The waffle in the chicken and waffles was good but not great and the chicken was okay(it was more boney than meaty). Their Frank’s hot sauce butter would have been better if they used Sriracha in place of Frank’s. Service was sort of crap, I could tell they forgot about us several times. This is a good place to come and socialize over mimosas or a glass of wine if you’re feeling trendy but I probably wouldn’t come back here.
