Unilocalers are right– customer service is horrible here… I called ahead for closing hours and was told they close at 4:30pm I specifically drove for a bagel with lox spread and cream cheese but once I got there they appeared to be cleaning up and I was told they aren’t making anymore sandwiches. So do you close at 4 or 4:30 come on bagel factory smh I wish I could swear off this place for good but their bagels are so damn good :(

Came with my two little kids for some simple cream cheese bagels. The bagels were good, the cream cheese was great! Not much seating area just three small tables inside and a couple outside, but most people seemed to be in and out so we had seating. The staff could have been better, they were a bit zombieish. Not much smiling.

This place is terrible! So I ordered bagels at 7AM to be ready at 8AM to be warm fresh out the oven with cream cheese and smoked salmon enough for two dozen bagels. I get there at 8:05 my order is not ready the bagels are cold and the place is overpriced. The woman helping me was nice. However they could’ve given me a discount compensated something for their lack of having things together for me. What’s the point of ordering an hour before and my things aren’t even ready waste of my time? if this is the last bagel place on earth I would never go! The customer service sucked.

Waited 25 mins for a western omelette on a toasted everything bagel plain. Somehow after asking me twice if I wanted cream cheese they still got my order wrong

The food here is good enough, but the service is awful. The people are friendly, but they don’t seem to know what they’re doing. They forget the basics of the order and have to ask over and over again, they don’t have defined roles so they’re falling over each other and not working efficiently, and it just takes forever. If you’re third in line, expect a 15 minute wait. I really hope they fix this, because the bagels are the best in the neighborhood.

Yum. This place is awesome and just hit the spot. I got an everything bagel with egg and cheese and chive cream cheese. Great bagel. Then, I tried the 15 bean soup. Delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone!

I was really lookin for a good bagel this morning. Problem is, I didn’t find that here. Not only is the place not setup for success with their systems to be able to efficiently handle 5 customers at 9AM within 20 minutes(yeah I waited 20 minutes just to get to the counter), but they really don’t have a clue what they are doing. I was handed the wrong bagels, I had to look around the entire establishment to find a drink carrier for my multiple coffees, there were no utensils to spread the cream cheese I got with the bagels, and the bagels weren’t even sliced… c’mon, use your brains. If I’m ordering a bagel with cream cheese, I obviously need a knife to spread the cream cheese, and even then if your not going to slice it — I would need a knife to cut my bagel. All in all not a good experience in the least. Will not be returning for sure.

Oh, bagel factory you are just what doctor ordered when I woke up hungover in the hotel down the road, your delicious fresh homemade bagels are the perfect pick me up and your pumpkin spice coffee make me feel like the winery today is actually an excellent plan!

Fresh bagels are always soft and sometimes even warm off the line. The lox sandwich on egg bagel is my favorite. The soft pretzels are awesome! Soups are great and service is pretty quick. Glad to have a kosher bagel place in Pico-Robertson.

Favorite bagel place in town. There was a season when I went there almost every day(it was waking distance from my place). When I Moved it became more difficult but I still go out of my way sometimes to go. I typically get a toasted poppy seed with lox mix which is very good. Also, I work with a student group at UCLA and I asked Sonny the owner for some Bagel Donations one time for an event on campus and they gave us fresh Bagels to give out. Most places donate day old bagels but they gave fresh ones which I thought was generous.

Oh man. Love the bagels. Despise the place. I live in the neighborhood been coming in regularly Sunday mornings for 15 years. Over that span of time there has never been even the remotest sense of recognition that I am a regular. I have gotten used to the horrible treatment and consistent confusion at the point of purchase. They are expected at the bagel factory. I know many others in the neighborhood who feel the same way but also love their bagels. So take it for what it is. If you want bagels and your near there… They are fresh and d excellent. If you want to feel like a human being when your purchasing them. Go to factors. Mediocre bagels but humans behind the counter. Thanks for the consistency bagel factory.

Great place for a quick breakfast or lunch! I’ve worked nearby for a few years and have eaten here many times. Omelet bagels for breakfast used to be a steal at 2.75, but they upped the prices recently and now the breakfast is still good, but it’s at more of an average price. They make their own healthy soups, and a medium soup comes with a free bagel(its the perfect lunch portion) soups aren’t anything spectacular, but for around $ 5 it’s a great lunch deal on a cold day. The owner is always around, and extremely friendly. Guna miss this place after my company relocates next week

I’m a bagel connoisseur with deep love and knowledge for fine bagels. This is my hometown spot just down the road from me, exceptionally delicious bagels especially when you pop in when fresh ones are coming out the oven in the mornings. Not 5 star comparable to true new york upper east side legends like ess-a-bagel and east side bagel, but it’ll definitely satisfy. Yeah the service is lacking some, and the business is a stickler on prices(~$ 5 for a bagel with lox spread, tomato and onion(the go to!))… but that’s anywhere unfortunately. Shout out to the staff though I know they be working them long bagel hours, dealing with crazy jewish people all day, I feel you. Aww, come here… gotta love you bagel factory… gotta love you.

I got egg salad here and a bagel with the lox cream cheese. The egg salad was fine, just needed some salt and pepper and it came with 2 packages of saltine crackers, so 4 crackers. I like that their egg salad does NOT have mustard in it. Then another visit I got a salt bagel, which was also fine, a little hard/not as soft as I would have liked even though I didn’t get it toasted. The bagel was about $ 1.20 and the lox cream cheese was about $ 1.80, which to me seemed sort of expensive. I am not sure what NOAH’S BAGELS charges, but I thought the cream cheese would be free. The lox cream cheese was good. I normally come here to check out the great soups, but so far both visits, they didn’t have any flavors I was interested in. Still, I will come here. Seems like they have a great deal with a grilled cheese and 4 oz soup for $ 4. Small parking lot, about 10 spaces if even that, and the inside of this place is VERYCASUAL. It basically looks like a Subway sandwich shop.

Although the parking is horrible, the place seems dirty and the people inline can be rude– to me this is the best New York bagel in LA. The skin is thick and chewy strong and the inside is dense and doughy. Not like fluffy Noah’s style bagels They used to have a $ 1.99 omelette on a bagel special but that is gone now which was the best deal around When you need a dozen or more bagels, this is the place

My husband and I stopped by The Bagel Factory at the end of a long tour of the bagels of L.A. It was a quick stop, so this will be a quick review. The Bagel Factory is a bagel mainstay, a family-owned business that has spread to three locations over the last forty years. It’s a functional no-fuss bagel café that feels casually old school, with a kosher certificate as wall décor. We shared a poppy seed bagel piled high with cream cheese. It was a solid bagel, fresh and tasty. It was on the fluffy side, with good texture along the edges. Service was fast and friendly. The Bagel Factory also does soups and sandwiches and that kind of thing, so it should work pretty well as an all-purpose stop for an easy breakfast or lunch. It must be beloved in the neighborhood. We’d visit more often if we lived nearby.

This is hands down the s***tiest business I’ve ever dealt with. I have passed this place several times and been very curious to try them out. I’m vegan and majority of the time bagels are okay for me to eat. However, many bagel businesses often use L-Cysteine in their ingredients as a dough conditioner. Little do we all know that L-Cysteine is derived from poultry feathers and/or human hair(YES, this is 100% true.) I first took some time to research their website and find out more about their nutritional facts, but none of that is listed on there, so I sent them a generic, «Do your bagels have any animal products?» message to their listed email address. I received an automated«This may take couple of days to answer» message, so instead I decided to give them a call. So, I’m pretty used to people looking at me weird when I ask the question, so I just quickly listed to the girl over the phone if their bagels contain any dairy, eggs or any other ingredients that could possibly be allergens. Her reaction? She laughed and quickly said, «I don’t know.» This was followed by her muffling the phone with her hand and telling another employee what I had just asked. Seeing that this establishment has taken the time to advertise that they are 100% SUPERINCREDIBLY kosher, you’d think that they would consider advertising any allergen information to their customers, right? Well, I just received their email response and all it said was: «I’ve attached a copy of our bagel nutrition facts. Hope this helps. Maria Rojas» I open the attachment and it is by far the most vague nutrition facts I’ve ever seen(will add on photos.) I am going to assume that it is only for their«plain» bagels, so who gives a flying hoo-hah about the rest of the bagels! Anyone have nut allergies? Well, who cares, just have a plain bagel, you fool! And what is «municipal» anyway? Is that edible? I spent more time that I wanted to writing this review, but I hope this helps others to second guess about asking them for something as simple as WHATTHEHELLAREYOUBAGELSMADEOF?
