I’m very disappointed. I am craving a coconut soup with mushrooms. I called and placed an order for delivery(with orders for others too). I ordered a LARGE(I’m staying late at work so it’d be my lunch and dinner) coconut soup. Confirmed with them that they would not add chicken, only mushrooms. Instead, I received a container loaded to the top of vegetables and hardly any soup broth. I called them to complain because I wanted soup, not a vegetable combo. I don’t even like carrots, celery, and/or cabbage in my soups. Yuk!!! They did nothing to fix it. The delivery person was nice. Now I’m fu%@!#@ hungry, my lunch time has gone by and I’m sick without food til 8pm.

I’ve ordered to go several times from Thai Kitchen since it’s close to work. Of the Pad Thai, Pad See Eww, and Wonton soup that I’ve ordered, I would say the Wonton soup«won» hands down. Nothing like hot soup on a cold rainy day! The small wonton soup, at $ 4, actually has quite a considerable amount of food — 4 pork wontons, 2 shrimps, and pieces of pork and napa cabbage throughout. The addition of scallions and fried garlic made the soup especially more aromatic. It had good flavor, although I’m attributing it to MSG for the most part. I just can’t imagine how much more they can add to the«large» size Wonton soup that they also offer. For my purposes, the small was enough food for me. Both the Pad Thai and Pad See Eww that I’ve ordered have tasted good and are a large portion. However, what I dislike is the amount of oil they’ve put in it that settles at the bottom of the plate towards the end of the meal. Credit cards are accepted for orders of $ 5 or more. Best to call in orders since it does take a while for them to prepare it.

Been coming here a couple of years. Food and service had been good, but today service was not so good, the people working seemed very disorganized. They forgot only companions dish. Food still seems good though. The workers said the lady that usually runs the place moved back to Thailand. Let’s see how things progress. Update: Probably won’t be coming back. My coconut chicken soup was served in a narrow, tall styrofoam cup, with a short, tiny spoon that wasn’t long enough to reach the bottom of the foam cup. I had to tilt the cup way over to try and get to the bottom. They have a TV blasting in volume, in the dining area, not for the guests, but on a Thai channel watching Thai soap operas for the entertainment of the workers. The order taking lady was wearing pink curlers in her hair. Come on, do that at home! She must have had a hot date later. Low class place… No thank you!

FOODPOISONING! I have gotten food poisoning from this place two times! Never again! It sucks in order to «continue post review» I have to give this place a star. So I’m giving it one star in order to post my review. Really I would give it NO stars and a thumbs down!

Got the pad thai and thai tea. Very disappointed. The thai tea was okay, generic thai tea. The pad thai was so flavorless, I thought I was eating plain noodles. Chicken was dry as well. Probably won’t be going back even though it’s right next to my work.

The dish was pretty sad. All the noodles were broken and the chicken was plain. The noodles itself had a nice little flavor but the overall dish was lacking. Probably won’t give it another try. Sad because I really wanted this place to be good. Maybe I just tried a bad dish. The owner(I assume) was really nice and sweet.

This place was such a gem when visiting LA County Hospital. I found their tofu vegetable soup changed a lot in a day and preferred it the second day with chopped garlic floating atop the broth — and enjoyed the purpley-black rice. How healing was their food, and clean bathroom, amidst the air conditioning and trauma of the ER? Fabulous grace of kindness and patience during my long visit on the first day. My boyfriend appreciated their food too, when I brought it to his room the second day. Thank you, Thai Kitchen.

My sister and I come here very often and we love it! She orders the chicken and vegetable and I love the chicken teriyaki and chow mein with vegetables. The teriyaki sauce is amazing. Thai tea with boba is also very good. The cashier(forgot her name) knows our orders by heart and I love that! Food is always hot. Service is great.

I’ve been here a few times so far, and I’d say it’s really not a bad place to grab a lunch. During my last visit, I ordered pad thai with pork and Thai Ice Coffee with Boba. The pad thai was reasonably tasty — I’ve had better(TG Express), but I’ve also had worse(Thai Deli). The portion size was quite generous for the modest price of $ 7.25, and they thankfully did not skimp on the meat portion. I found the Thai ice coffee to be very flavorful and strong, although lacking in the sweetness/creaminess that typically marks the Thai ice coffee served by other vendors. In spite of that, I still liked it. The quantity of boba provided was very satisfactory, as was the quality(proper chewiness, moistness, and texture). Always check your order before leaving to ensure that they don’t forget to put boba in your drink if you ordered it(which they did once, in my case. Wankers.). I should also note that my coworker tried the wonton soup, and commented that it was quite tasty for $ 4, with a surprisingly large portion of wontons in the broth. In a previous visit, I tried the BBQ combo(roasted chicken, pork ribs, chicken satay, with white rice and salad), which left a little to be desired — the salad wasn’t that great, and the meat was rather lacking in sauce. I would not recommend it. I also tried the shrimp tempura, which wasn’t terrible, but was also not particularly impressive. Give it a try though, you might like it more than I did. The people working here seem to be nice enough, I can’t say anything bad about them. Thai Kitchen shares a small parking lot with a number of other restaurants in a strip mall, so you are likely to encounter difficulties finding a spot during peak hours. Try finding a curb spot on Brittania street if the lot is full.

My coworker recently had a horrible experience with the owner. Her soup was given/taken by another customer accidentally and instead of making another soup for my friend the owner chased down the other customer who accidentally took the soup and then gave it to my friend! when asked to make another soup the owner refused and cancelled her order. Basically refused service to her and said she didn’t care if she told people. wow! Such horrible customer service. I will not be going back there if they chose to flex such authority and treat customers like that. No stars

In town for 3 weeks doing training at the USC hospital and thank goodness for this little hole in the wall spot. Absolutely love their food and the customer service is amazing even tho it gets real busy during lunch hours. Love the fried rice. Big portions!

Really close to LACUSC hospital. Fast service and inexpensive. What they make well here: egg rolls, yellow curry(very flavorful), and hot sour soup. Would skip on the noodle dishes. The drunken noodles and pad thai were chewy and on the greasy side. They have small parking lot. Not a fancy place but gets the job done if you are looking for good thai soups.

I absolutely love this place. The lady who always takes order around lunch time always remember what I had the last time! I don’t even remember that! Huge servings and the pad-see-ew is fantastic. They make their orders so fast! The longest I have waited for an order is literally 7 minutes — even during lunch hour, when they are bustling. Pricing is moderate. I hate the parking though. The little lot they share with several other businesses and there are never any parking slots available. Paid street parking or if you are picking up there’s a lot in the back you can briefly park in.

My company ordered food for workers on Christmas Eve and this is NOT Thai food! They ordered the following: –chow mein(super salty… I’ll add a picture) –garlic pepper beef(that more like sauted beef and cabbage!) –fried rice(not too bad-good amount of cilantro and cucumbers) –ginger with spicy bean sauce(wanna be Kung pao chicken) Please change your name is Asian American Kitchen…

I come here frequently since I visit the USC Hospital so much. This place have the best pad thai. Just the right amount of sweetness, lots of meat and noodles, plenty of veggies. I hate when other Unilocalers say a restaurant gives u plenty only to find out when I get there that it isn’t true. My favorite thing here, oddly enough, is the thai chilli infused fish sauce. Wow, potently spicy! I add it to my curries, red beef is my favorite when I want to test my spice tolerance. Having been to many Thai restaurants, this is still my fav.

HUGE servings Large servings… which is a plus. I work close by, so Ive been here a few times when I am craving thai. I will say I really enjoy the tom yom gong(thats how you spell it?). It has great flavor. My friends usually order the pad thai with tofu or the pad see eew. Overall it is alright… cures the craving. CON: I have had a few stomach aches after eating here… Not sure if my craving is worth stomach pain

Qualifications: have eaten at probably over fifty Thai restaurants in five different countries, spent a few years with a live-in Thai exchange student who also cooked. This was not Thai food. It was an MSG soaked gelatinous soup with canned vegetables and gray fatty chicken dumped in. The rice was dry and the only thing edible. The food was served in a styrofoam bucket and a paper plate with plastic fork and knife. I rarely speak this strongly about a food place and am willing to tolerate quite a lot. I was totally unable to eat this gelatinous soup filled with inedible and questionable meat. The price was okay, not great.

Working very close at the Medical School this is one of our go-to places when we have a working lunch. Prices are very reasonable and food is good. Portions are great actually. Is is authentic… not at all, but it’s still good. Pad See Ew is always great, and the spicy fried rice is delish. I don’t care for Curry but a few people in the office order it all the time. Won ton soup is a bit bland. We’re always satisfied after having Thai Kitchen. Oh, and who doesnt LOVE free delivery?
