I honestly have to say the pad thai was the worst I’ve had.

Quite literally, the worst pad thai I’ve ever had. The rest of my group I ate with felt the same way. It’s as if they’ve never had the real thing. My advice for the owners, go to Kamin on Melrose or the Streets of Thailand truck, eat their versions, and reassess.

Waste of 8 bucks. I ordered the pad thai and spring roll combo. Needless to say the pad thai was flavorless and bland, the spring rolls tasted absolutely horrendous with even drenching it in the dipping sauce that it came with. Its really disappointing since there is so much you can do with thai food and mobile eating. These guys just are trying to cash in on the mobile food craze and fail to deliver a quality product. I would not recommend this truck to anyone.

This truck was okay. The service was nice and fast. I got the chicken Bowl. It was supposedly in a peanut sauce but it tasted so tangy, I got no peanut out of it anywhere. It just wasn’t really the flavor I was expecting. It tasted more chinese to me and not thai, but I’m not too sure of that. It’s still tasted fine though, just not the best and not what I expected.

I spotted this truck on my way home and thought I’d give it a try. I spent a month in Thailand and am always searching for good Thai food around LA. I’m glad there’s finally a food truck for this hole in the market! I ordered the pad thai and was not disappointed. Tasty, filling, fun and extremely fresh, which is always a make-or-break factor for me. Great value, the guys in the truck were super-friendly, and the portion sizes were good. Finally there’s an interesting alternative to all the heavy, greasy food truck meals out there. I will definitely be back!

If you approach this food as authentic Thai food, you’ll give 1 star. If you approach this food as Asian fusion, you’ll prob give a few more stars. I made the mistake getting overly excited about seeing a Thai food truck and wanting authentic Thai food in the Westside. I’ve lived in Thailand for 2 months and I have a special place for authentic Thai food. When I walked up to the truck, the first thing I noticed was that the people inside weren’t Thai. In fact, they weren’t even Asian, and I *think* they were speaking Farsi to each other. Now, don’t get me wrong; I don’t think you need to be Thai to run a Thai truck. But it does give you an idea that it might not be authentic Thai food. I ordered the Pad Thai. And I was really disappointed. Bland and with very little flavor! To the point where I had to take it home and re-cook it. Thank goodness that I happened to actually have a bottle of Thai sweet soy sauce, in order to add flavor to my meal. The pad thai was neither sweet nor spicy nor tangy. It was just a tiny bit salty. The only two good things were:(a) They definitely give you a fair amount of noodles, and(b) They’re really nice people! Not mean at all. But I’m still really sad that I can’t get cheap authentic Thai food without driving out to Hollywood

There seems to be some fusion happening on their menu. Not a lot, just some Mexi-Thai, Viet-Thai etc… each of the fused items just add some popular Thai food elements(that’s right, peanuts in all variations). It was too hot of day to be standing outside of a food truck in the sun and ordering hot noodle soup, so I went with the Thai Guys Sandwich and a couple of tacos. The sandwich was alright. Served on a french roll, it looked like a bahn mi, and was full of veggies and chicken. The chicken had a sweet, peanut like sauce marinate glaze going on, which turned out to be just alright. I did like the tacos. You can get either chicken or beef for the fillings. Each taco is filled with meat, green onions, slices of bell pepper, a few bean sprouts, and chopped peanuts. Not a bad tasting combo at all. I like the ideas going on here for this food truck and there is a lot of potential. I just wish that they had a spicy option for their menu, which is one of things that I really enjoy about a lot of Thai dishes that I thought the food lacked in.

Great food and great staff! Had a delicious lunch experience at a goddamn food truck of all places! While driving down Olympic Blvd the other day I noticed about ten food trucks parked along the side walk. I was looking for a quick fix and ended up at the«Thai Guy’s» truck. Guess the cool wrap got me to make up my mind(gotta love that Elephant… The dude’s hairdo was pretty unique too. Anyhow, ordered one Pad-Thai and spinach salad and was not disappointed. Simple and delicious! I’ll be looking out for that elephant. :-)

Well, we’re starting to see some of the downside of the Food Truck explosion… trucks that have no business being in business. ‘Spring Rolls’ were an absolute joke. Some Safeway lettuce in store-bought wrappers, with some sorry excuse for peanut sauce. The ‘Thai Taco’ was equally sad and had me wondering if any Thai people are even affiliated with this truck. Bad start to my 2011 Food Truck tour!
