Terri Engelberg, MD

I have suffered from migraines for half a century– 50 years– and Dr. Engelberg is the ONLY doctor who has been able to help me. Her office is pleasant, the staff friendly and helpful, her office manager, Laura, is a dream with assistance: I am getting Botox and she has helped me with paperwork for reimbursements. Dr. Engelberg is funny and wise, calm and comforting, and an excellent physician. My migraines have decreased from 14−15−− or over, to a highly manageable 5 or so/​month. She is lovely in presence and spirit. I highly recommend this physician.

The doctor complained to me about her insurance reimbursements.
The staff was asked to send medical records and I had to call twice to follow up until they were sent.
I have a disability claim pending and the doctor refused to complete the required forms unless she charged me $ 100.
When I went onto the affordable care act and had an appointment in January 2014, one of her office staff members called me the day before my appointment to inform me that they needed to CANCEL my appointment unless I paid CASH UP FRONT for my office visit because they messed up and didn’t sign the proper contract with the insurance company so they would get reimbursed.
One day, I was (literally) 2 minutes late for an appointment and the doctor angrily told me she could do only part of my exam and I’d have to return for another visit (and ANOTHER CO-​PAY!).
Fortunately I have found a much nicer and more efficient neurologist in Sherman Oaks!
