The boba adventures continue! This time, my parents and I were walking around Chinatown and decided that we could not leave without having some boba first! First, let’s talk about their AMAZINGSERVICE! The lady helping me out(I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name) was so sweet and helpful, that for once I didn’t feel bad that I was taking forever to order. She took her time to listen to my preferences and come up with a CUSTOM drink to my liking! I had the kiwi mango iced tea with boba and it is one of a kind. Thank you for your amazing service and delicious boba!

Been coming here for the past two years to buy oolong tea. My favorite is the high mountain oolong it’s so good and lasts me over six months, they carry other good ones as well. On the other side of the shop they make tea and boba and It’s really good too.

This original location uses oolong tea to make their milk teas, making them a lot more flavorful than other bubble tea places that use lesser-quality teas. They make it the right way here! The exterior makes it look like a hole in the wall, but it’s worth bustling in there and order from the barebone counter for the best milk tea from town.

this is a really nice place hidden in the middle of china town. a bit of a gem, dont think they have any food but they sell drinks! nice way to cool off in the middle of the concrete jungle known as DTLA :) Lychee green tea, half sugar unless you want full on sugar which I am convinced was made for diabetics

I just got shooed out of this place by a worker/owner while she was sitting in the shop eating her food. My boyfriend and I were just looking inside and realized we were too full to have a drink so we walked out, and as we were walking out the lady sitting there waved her hands and shooed us away saying«leave» in Chinese. Rude… Guess I’m never coming here.

Shop seems kind of run-down and perhaps not up to the best health/cleanliness standards. Compared to the Ten Ren I usually go to in Monterey Park, this seems like a fake makeshift boba shop who’s just using Ten Ren’s name/label. I got the milk tea with boba and it’s fine. Within the area, I’d prefer going to Ozero.

Cute tea sets and yummy tea. The only downside was the owner wasn’t very friendly. I would only want them to work on that since I spent over 150 dollars in this establishment I would like to be treated a little better.

I had Ten Ren for the first time in Cupertino and absolutely loved it, the taste of the almond milk green tea still lingers in my mind. I was ecstatic to find that they have locations in So Cal, and happened to be having dim sum next door on Saturday, and thought it was fate to find Ten Ren next door, right when I needed a boba fix. The entrance of the tea drinks section is on the side, not in the front. It was very mom and pop looking, which is generally a good thing, but I didn’t feel so in this situation. I ordered an almond milk green tea, but did not think it was anywhere as good as the one I had in Cupertino. Perhaps, I had it on an off day… Nonetheless, I would not mind trying the location in SGV, but my all-time fave boba places remain to be Fusion Tea Bar in Cerritos, and Honey Boba!!!

They have really good tasting drinks, however they are a little pricey compared to quicklys. This location is shared with an herbal shop. So you know the tea is good. My mom actually likes this place compared to the many other boba shops around because of how fresh their tea taste. The customer service is mediocre. They’re not that friendly. They take your orders and make your drink right away. They just mingle within themselves. They don’t really engage with their customers.

Good boba tea drinks. But no oolong tea :(. There is tea shop inside also, if you want to buy traditional chinese teas this is the place. Street parking only

I love you ten ren. I am obsessed with unsweetened ice tea and order it everywhere I go. Ten ren makes amazing teas from good quality tea leaves. The iced green tea has that perfect bitterness a good, well brewed tea has and the baristas here are very nice — whenever you get your drink they ask you to let them know if the sweetness needs any adjustments(even if you get it unsweetened), which I think is super nice. They validate 30 minutes for the parking lot below.

I stumbled upon this place buy accident. I got the taro milk tea boba which is my go to drink when I’m not sure what to order as it never disappoints. I waited 5 mins to only be given a large when i ordered medium and charged for a large. I didin’t mind that much as it tasted good. It wasn’t busy but the lady was busy talking to her friend while taking my order which is no surprise why she got the size wrong. I’m not coming back here again!

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Tried giving this place several chances and this place has failed every single time. The tea is mediocre at best and the service is always terrible. The people who’ve helped me almost every time have been irritable, rude, and changed the pricing of the tea on me a few times? They use a calculator to «calculate» the prices but I’m almost always asked to pay MORE than what’s on the board? Disregarding the obvious taxes and such, of course. And one time there was a $ 1 debit/credit fee and then another time, there wasn’t one. Don’t dick around with your customers maybe? Pretty much awful place with awful service and awful people. Tried my damnedest to ignore the attitude, but wow, this place is complete trash. Don’t waste your time here.

Yummy Boba! The people behind the counter are fantastically friendly, and the prices. The taste was great too. I had the Thai Iced tea(yeah, I wasn’t as adventurous as some of my peers), and it tasted more than okay. The only reason I did not give this a higher star rating is because I saw them pour milk back into its container after they mistakenly poured some out thinking it was and ingridient for one of the drinks they were making. The place was overall clean, but that just put me off just a tad. Despite this, I’ll still recommend it and will likely come back.

Ten Ren has been solid for me no matter where the locale. This one is no different. A lot bigger than the ones Im used to though. Even though it’s not on the menu you can ask for an oolong milk teat that totally hits the spot. It maybe the dead of winter but it was 70 degrees F outside so i had to get a cold refresher and this did the trick

Ten Ren Tea Time’s orignial location Los Angeles is right here in Chinatown that started 30 years ago. They expanded the tea to go area about 15 years ago just around the time that boba was getting started in LA. I ordered a large lychee green tea with lychee jellies. Cost me $ 4.50. Perfectly sweetened. Not too much nor to little. The tea barista asked me if I needed some adjustment for sweetness. For some reason, I thought this was the best iced green tea drink I’ve had in years. Maybe cause she hooked me up with a load of lychee jellies. Barista was quick unlike Lollicup or Half and Half where you have to wait 15 minutes for some teenie boppers to make your drink while they’re on their cell. Drop by if you’re in Chinatown. Nice and refreshing all days of the year.

I was excited to see Ten Ren in Chinatown. I usualy order the same thing at Ten Ren: iced grapefruit drink with aloe vera. My tea wasn’t as good as other Ten Ren’s teas and my aloe vera was not crunchy. Ewww the aloe vera was kinda slimy. QUICKTIP: DON’T FORGETYOURTENRENPUNCHCARD. 2 stars! Ten Ren’s Tea Time is not yummylicious!

If you’re looking to relax & escape the hot sun outside, come to this place and order some tea with boba. The interior is small, but keep in mind it is a tea place; not a restaurant. The other cluster of shops in the same open air shopping area are pretty much all tourist oriented. This is Chinatown’s newer addition. The summer sun can be tough on some people so coming indoors and letting your body heal a bit is always a good idea. They prepare your order for tea individually. So let the person taking the order know how you’d like your tea and she/he(why is it always written«he/she»? I put the woman first. Always!) will prepare your tea to your specifications. Mine was prepared to-the-T! Will definitely try other flavors next time I’m in the area for leisurely travel. Making. Awesome. New. Memories! YES!
