I was really excited to try this place. I love Nutella, but this restaurant was very disappointing. I went with my cousin and we were the only customers there. You would think we would receive excellent service. Not the case at all! I had a simple request — no bananas on my waffle. The waitress said okay, but when I finally received my order(which took way too long considering they had no other customers and waffles aren’t that difficult to make) it was full of bananas! I did not send my plate back, but I did complain. No apology or offer to bring me a new plate. The waffles I ordered looked like something I could have easily made at home. They were covered in Nutella and there was a giant glob of peanut butter in the center of the plate. Actually, I could have made a better version of that plate at home. The last straw was when I asked for the check. We put in our credit cards and I asked the waitress to split the bill in half. This is a reasonable request, right? Wrong! She brought back my credit card and charged me for my cousin’s order, while charging my order on my cousin’s credit card. Once again, I(very calmly and politely) informed the waitress that she had screwed up. Her response«our system doesn’t allow us to split the check. I wasn’t sure what you ordered so I just charged you for the one I thought was yours.» AHHHH! Beware of this establishment.

I went to these guys a bunch if times and they were always solid meals. Quinoa salad was nice and the pancakes were very good. A good place to eat.

Super long wait for everything, food was not filling and my «panini» was just a bare wheat bread sandwich with barely anything inside it. My friend’s waffle was also not very large. Overall our food was not worth $ 10 each. Not coming back.

I’ve been here before, twice. The first time, I got the 15% off your entire check, nice! This time, I used the double take offer of $ 10 for $ 20 and it was amazing! Thanks to the Unilocaler that mentioned it and the best part is, I can do it again. !!! Food I got the red velvet crepes and the ranchero omelette and they both tasted good. The omelette was good but the crêpe was amazing. Anyone say Nutella? Décor Clean and cute. Need I say more? Service I called twice before I finally decided on what to get and the two people that picked up did not give me an attitude whatsoever. Plus because I skipped the potatoes that normally comes with the omelette, they added one more egg to my omelette. I love these guys Yum yum nice! In all, I love this place and they’re only 5mins from me. Double nice!

Don’t tell-ahh friend to come here. The service sucks, not friendly. Long wait for the fact that it’s not even busy. The items on the menu sound delicious and when you receive them it doesn’t have as much flavor as you would expect. The atmosphere isn’t as comfortable as other cafés. Overall, wasn’t satisfied. Can’t even compare to crave so they should change their slogan.

At first I wasn’t even sure this place was open — there was literally no one there(and we went on a Saturday morning!). The display cases were bare, and there was only one other couple sitting on the patio space outside, so at first I was a little leery. My boyfriend and I received our menus — a couple of items were discontinued or out of stock, so we weren’t able to try some of the things we wanted, but we made do with the selection. We ordered the red velvet crepes, the Nutella«inspired» crepes, a s’Mores panini, AND a house omelet(yeah, we’re chubby like that). I also had the watermelon mint tea, and he ordered an apple/carrot juice blend. We were AMAZED. We ate EVERYTHING, until we were so full we couldn’t eat any more. The watermelon mint tea was very refreshing, the crepes were moist and fluffy and decadent, and the omelet was savory and definitely enjoyable. The only complaint with the food was that the side potatoes were cold. The service was a bit iffy. There was only one person working, and it took us a few minutes to track her down when we needed things like silverware, boxes, etc. The café itself is nice, clean, and very open. The patio is also very nice. But the FOOD is amazing!

The service sucks. And I sent my food back and I swear the cooks stared at me while I got my new order. I ordered the red velvet waffle… not good at all. I would not recommend this place nor will I come back.

Honestly, I’m not a fan. I tried this place for its«Grand-Opening» and came back during my lunch break at work a 2nd time, I wish I would have trusted my instinct and not gone back. The place has A LOT of potential I must say, but the owners have a lot of business planning to do. I felt the concept would have been amazing, a fun bakery café that uses Nutella for many of the dishes. I was really turned off by the dish wear, the setting. The restaurants has napkin dispensers that remind me of something that you would find in a restroom, as far as their dish wear, they have different plates, and utensils were all uninformed. You have to order at the cashier and they bring your food out to the table. When we got there, we were directed to «sit anywhere you would like» but when we sat down the guy working asked us to please order at the register. The service wasn’t the fastest, we thought about canceling items just because it was our lunch break and it was taking too long,(approximately 35 minutes for two Panini each with a side salad). My friend and I decided to order their dessert and asked the employee what they recommended, it was this crêpe with Fruity Pebbles, we decided to order a different crêpe. We ended up ordering one that was creamed filled, however their crepes were more like pancakes filled with whip creamed instead of the advertised custard. Sadly I had the same experience both times I went and wasn’t pleased. When I went the second time again I ordered a crêpe, it was basically a fluffy pancake with chocolate drizzle and not nutella. Lots of potential but unfortunate not a place I would recommend.

This place is TERRIBLE. The workers don’t check on patrons so everyone is popping in and out of their seats to get someone’s attention behind the counter(where the vast majority of their time is spent lining up Tapatio bottles). I ordered an Americano and 10 minutes later was told they can make espresso but not an Americano. =\ My friend ordered house coffee and it was really just flavored water. We thought food would be a saving grace, but sadly not. I ordered the Mr. Benedict and the eggs were overcooked, the hollandaise wasn’t creamy(? and tasted mustardy), and my potatoes were burned! I just tried to spear one(because I’ll still eat burned potatoes) and it SHATTERED. Yikes! My friend’s Ranchero omelette had wet eggs and not a lot of flavor. The guy working here said sorry a lot even though we weren’t complaining so that’s cool. He knows what’s up.

The tables were not cleaned and bussed. Disorganized wait staff. Food was mediocre, no attention to details. We had the grilled chicken panini and the burkey sliders, probably could have made it at home. Not impressed at all. I came here after reading the reviews and to take advantage of the living social deal, but was disappointed. The reviews do not reflect actual dining experience.

Not terrible… Not amazing. I went with my beau to have breakfast here. We ordered 2 cups of coffee. Coffee was lukewarm. Then we waited 20+ minutes with empty coffee cups and then had to ask for them for a refill. They’re clear cups… It’s not rocket science, here. I ordered a ranchero omelette. Very pretty presentation but the flavor was odd. It had tortilla strips cooked into the omelette. They were stale. And then they got soggy. Soggy sad tortilla strips. At least they had a festive red and green color scheme going on. If you go and end up getting this — tell them to leave out the tortilla strips. Trust me. I had a side of their breakfast potato things. They were burned cubed potatoes with seasoning salt. Sad face for burning the potatoes. Beau ordered the breakfast nachos. Tortilla chips, scrambled eggs, and then everything else looked like it came out of a can. Olives, jalapeños, black beans… Canned. Not terrible but not knock my socks off amazing. So… I think I could successfully make both of the dishes at home without spending the amount I did here. I probably won’t be back.

Okay, so I came here on a Groupon, and it was AMAZING. Plus, since I went there on my own, I also ordered a ton of food… for myself. :-) First, the Quinoa Salad… fresh, crisp and oh so delicious. The dressing really hit the spot too, and it was a hearty amount of food for the price. Second, the BBQ Chicken Flatbread… honestly not that impressive. Yeah, it’s a flatbread, but I felt that the toppings were lacking in quantity. Plus, it’s not as big, so I wouldn’t expect a full appetite after eating one of these. Third, the Frosted Toast… I should’ve eaten it fresh, but even after being a bit soggy(my fault, since I left it sit for some time until I actually ate it), it was still OHSODELECTABLE! Honestly, everything there that’s sweet or «dessert-like» is amazing… at least the display counter made it seem like it. Literally everything was sold out, so that must indicate they were doing something right!(And no… I didn’t eat this all in one sitting… these were my meals spanned out during the day). :-)

New restaurant in the Encino area! Yes it looks like they are only a bakery and serve only pastries but that is not true! They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The pastries are an added bonus. The food is really tasty! I have been here on 3 different occasions and the food and service has always been great! I have no complaints about TellAHH Café. I think that anyone that is hesitant about it should try it if they are in the area. You will be pleasantly surprised.

My wife and I went to the Café its opening weekend; it was known as the Nutell-AHH Café then. I temper my opinion based on that and coupled with the fact I don’t like the idea of being negative about someone’s livelihood. It was evident everyone working there was excited by the opening, and excited to have people try their culinary creations. The unfortunate reality is, on that day, it wasn’t that good. The good of the Café I can touch on: the people there were enthusiastic and clearly wanted to impress their guests. The servers were pleasant and the staff in general were accommodating. They moved quick, and the manager(I assume that was her role) was working to make order out of chaos. She hounded servers to attend to tables, she hounded the cooks to pick up the pace, she manned the register. So staffwise I think under her wing the place will come together nicely. Our order, however, took 20+ minutes to come to our table. I got a very expensive BLTNRMX Panini, the wife picked up the Caprese Panini. The BLTNRMX remix didn’t taste very good, and in fact I found the flavor of the pesto directly clashed with the other flavors present. The bacon itself was actually flavorless, which is stunning given bacon seems nigh impossible to be flavorless. It was. Apparently the N in BLTN stands for Nutella, but you wouldn’t have known it by tasting it. It tasted like basil, oil and lettuce. The other problem was the pesto softened the toasted bread so much as to make it mushy, which leads me to believe part of the 20 minute wait it sat at the pickup window alone and desperate to be eaten. Her Caprese Panini was perfectly serviceable, but given the price we expected more, especially since it was served on a rather large plate and the serving itself was dwarfed by it. When the wife and I try new places, we opt to sample desserts as well as entrees, so despite our opinion of the meal we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try the Nutell-AHH crêpe. Now. This is probably a consequence of being new, being rushed, and not finding a groove yet. But, and this is a huge but. We actually had to order the crêpe twice, as the first time there was paper debris in it from the banana peels. I quietly brought it to the floor manager’s attention(she was already near tears because previous guests were being total d-bags to her about the wait et. al., and I didn’t want to be the one who pushed her over the edge). She replaced it quickly and we ate the followup, albeit carefully and examining each bite. But as I was saying, the Nutell-AHH Crêpe. We ordered it. I mean, if you’re going to name your restaurant after Nutella, your signature crêpe is going to be divine. It wasn’t, but it was good enough that it made me think, «Gosh if they reduced the menu by at least half, and did more nutella crepes this place would be legit busy from the word go.» So the takeaway. Even with two stars I’d tell someone to give it a try. Well, my exact recommendation would be, «Eh, we went opening weekend and it was pretty meh and pricy for how little you get, but they may have figured it out by now and made huge improvements. The Cream Cheese Nutella they used in the crêpe was tasty, though. Maybe just get a couple desserts, but definitely don’t get the BLTNRMX. Ever.» I hope they can turn it around. Maybe in a few months, if they’re still there, I’ll go back and check.

I came here because of the high ratings on Unilocal. At first walk-in: Awesome paintings on the wall. Clean and spacious place. Friendly cashier/waitress. I ordered the Mr. Benedict. That was a disappointment for $ 13.95. Many breakfast places these days are doing something special with their egg Benedict. This one was just plain poached eggs with a piece of ham between the egg and muffin. The sides are over-fried potatoes, dark and dry. The chef could definitely use some creativity. I did enjoy looking at the wall painting while trying to finish this dish.

YUM!!! Had the Florentine dessert roll which was A+! We also took home red velvet and almond crepes and my gf is a major fan of crepes. She said both are DELICIOUS and I couldn’t agree more. The pricing is a lil on the high side but once you see the quality of the food its worth it. I saw amazing flat breads, sandwiches, drinks and salads too. They’ve got something for everyone! We loved the décor too, from the outdoor dining area to the murals and paintings and ceiling/roof on the interior. What a neat nice fun buzzing tasty new place. ;-) Request from my gf is to install hooks in the bathroom for coats/purses etc., I think this is a good idea.

Has potential… Went for breakfast, ordered house omelet with egg whites and zucchini side. They messed up my egg white omelet with the other person I was with and they had to remake it. Zucchini thing was not good. Omelet was ok. Potatoes were very undercooked and couldn’t even eat them. We also tried a french toast and the owner sent us a dessert. They are much better at sweets. Both of those were good. If you have sweet tooth then, there are some really interesting options. Coffee was good. The whole experience was good but, the ordering and sitting was awkward. Starting from the placement of the cashiers. If they want to follow that model, they need to rethink which side the cashier is on. For a full menu, which it is, there needs to be table service. I want my coffee filled at all times. The orange marmalade as the only option was not good, need jelly cups. Asked for butter, got and hunk of butter from a large block in the kitchen, not individual. BTW, table butter should be salted, this was not. The place was clean and everyone was friendly, it has some potential. Good location, but I can imagine parking can be tough when it gets busy. I like the idea of having another breakfast place nearby, but they need to figure a few things out first, otherwise More than Waffles and Cici’s will be hard to compete with.

Ok for starters, I do not know the owners, nor am I friends with anyone from this business(as stated from a previous review I just read that all reviews are friends, etc.) I’ve been here a hand full of times now & ea. time I have had a positive experience. Their food is delicious & the coffee is amazing. I’m not too big on pastries, so I can’t review on the quality or taste of theirs. So far I’ve tried the starwberry salad & the dressing is outstanding! They used a nutella, sweet dressing… something along those lines &WOW!.. made the strawberrys in the salad just so rich and delicious. I’ve also has the BBQ chicken flatbread sandwich. LOVED it! My fiancé is a big fan of their sliders… ive nibbled on a few of his he’s ordered & the Turkey with bacon is my favorite. Overall this place gets 5-stars! The foods wonderful. I love the layout of the café… very European & friendly. And the staff has been great each time. No complaints so far! A nice little café to add to the Encino/Tarzana area.
