Just came back after awhile. I had gorditas. They are great. Hand made and very reasonable prices.

The décor drove me in, I thought it would be awesome, since we are in ELA. WRONG! Order a taco and a gordita. Taco tortilla was good, guacamole was watered down, meat was burnt and had to much nerves. Gordita was good, meat was burnt and had to much nerves. Red salsa had no flavor. Coronas were good though. I had to add salt to my food to give it flavor. Customer service is cool, but I was very dissapointed. Im guessing they dont try their food. This place has potential, need to tweek their recipes a little. Til then, I prob won’t be back.

Tight dining area with lots of furniture, nicely decorated restaurant. Street parking is virtually non-existent. Clientele consists of local neighbors who walk there and homies. If you prefer to eat with some dude or homegirl giving you a mad-dog look, this is the perfect place. I ate in the dining room and gave back the looks without incident. I would recommend to the three«carnales» that they invest in a proper vent system in the kitchen. Those poor ladies who work there must be covered in grease when they go home and it really can’t be good for their health to be breathing in smoke fumes all day. Leaving the back door open is not the solution because the smoke rolls into the dining room. Health inspectors must not visit ELA very often. Maybe they should. Ordered two al Pastor tacos and a carne asada quesadilla. I was hungry after waiting 30 minutes in a line that never moved down at Tacos Baja Ensenada a few blocks east of this place. Gave up on the idea of having an inferior fish taco and drove down the street. The al Pastor was from a real Trompo. Five stars on that alone. Prepared«con todo» resulted in a really fine taco. They use only one tortilla and it is made of more yellow corn than white corn masa. Liked it a lot. Damn tasty. The carne asada quesadilla was a little pricey, but it was very big. Lots of yummy queso and carne. Sauce was good, but it needed a little help from the salsa and condiment bar that is in the dining room. Definitely a 4 star value meal. Washed everything down with a cold Pacifico, so I was very satisfied with the overall experience. They have birria everyday and from the looks of the orders, it is popular. Menudo on weekends.

Great food, to bad there are 2 ladies working the counter and kitchen. no hostess or waiter or waitres… you have to order your own food… I saw people walking out, due to this problem. great décor as well.

I had the worst experience ever at this place. My order was pretty simple, 3 chicken tacos. You would think it wouldn’t take long right… WRONG! 15 minutes later and still no tacos. When I finally did get my tacos there was hair in one of them. Yuck! I move on to the other taco and it was full of a chunky, crunchy, something that should not be in a taco. When I got up to complain I notice the dough they use to make tortillas had flies. Disgusting! DONTCOMEHERE!

Stumbled across this place like a year a ago. walking around la whitty mad hungry. The place before this, LAFOCA sucked. So when I saw this place, just by the looks of it made me even hungrier. It’s pretty much the best DAYTIME taco stand in east la. I say that because all the good ones are on the weekends in the nights waiting for the drunk people any way Started off taking my friends and family and they In turn brought their friends … place never stops amazing me all I get is al pastor everything else is good but the al pastor is pretty DANK! Over all working in a Mexican restaurant I have to say this place really makes you feel like your in TJ. It’s like a little a vacation.

Five stars for 2 reasons. Great service and great price on beer. Food is a cherry on top. Hand made tortillas with some guacamole on your taco! Can it get better than that?! Delicious.

Parking isn’t hard to find on a Weekday not sure about the Weekend. Food is made fresh to order. Homemade tortillas used for the tacos and the sopes! The guacamole is a plus on the tacos. And they have beer!

A very clean family owned establishment, with great traditional mexican décor. The tacos are prepared with hand made tortillas, which are a bit on the small side, but are still good. Make sure to try their sopes, which are delicious!
