Old school since 1972. I was starving and there was no way I was going to stop at BK or McD’s, I avoid the big corporate fast food places. I wanted a simple burrito but I spoke with the cashier and she told me her favorite item was the steak sandwich. Guess what, that’s what I ordered, but was disappointed when I took my first bite. The sandwich looked good but was too bland, it needs flavor and it didn’t deliver.

All Tams have similar menus and décor outside but having gone to my share of them over the years I’ll be the first to admit they don’t all taste the same or provide the same customer service. This one is hands down one of the best. I try to stop by here any time I’m hungry and I’m on my way to get the 110 fwy. Everything here starts at the top starting with the owner, Alex, who is not your typical owner. He really tries to get to know his clientele and make them satisfied with their orders. He’s one of the major reasons why I keep coming back. The burgers and fries are great and priced right. I would really recommend getting the chicken quesadilla as someone already mentioned, it comes with an incredible sauce that provides the perfect kick to provide a perfect blend of cheese and white meat. I have yet to try other items in the menu but when I do I’ll update my review and provide pictures

I love this place so much. My son loves their frenchtoast it is so delicious and they give a free juice with it. My favorite is the bacon and egg sandwich with extra extra pickles. The fries are always on point and their chili cheese fries are so mouth watering. One of the best burger places hands down! If you guys are ever near gage and San Pedro I highly suggest you come here !

The owner of this place is amazing! I witnessed him feeding a homeless person sitting outside out of the goodness of his heart! I stopped for a bathroom break and decided to order food after witnessing that and besides his amazing customer service the food tasted amazing!

When you’re rolling through the ghetto there are three things you have to be concerned about: 1) Getting jacked. The last thing you want to happen while cruising in the hood is getting robbed. If you come to a stop and see a group of hoodie-wearing gentlemen in the middle of summer just hanging out, you may want to turn down your Barry Manilow cd and roll up your windows. If you’re feeling adventurous put on some Vanilla Ice, roll down the windows, and crank that shit up. Word to your mother. 2) The LAPD. If you’re rolling in a beater piece of shit ride you may get pulled over on general principal. You may be a law abiding citizen, but face it, if your shit is spewing smoke and held together with duct tape with spinner hubcaps, you need to be pulled over. If you’re driving a nice Prius or some other environmentally friendly pussy car you will get pulled over for suspicion of drug purchasing. Watch out Buffy, they will take your ass to Lynwood and stick you in a cell with Martha and LaQueesha for bit. 3) Last but not least… when hunger strikes you need to know where to go without having to worry about getting fried rat or stewed cat, that can be tricky because all the shit down there smells the same. However, there are pretty good spots. One of them is Tam’s #35. Who knew there were that many of those shits around! Anyway I ordered a chicken quesadilla(probably fried cat, but that shit was good), tasty, tender chicken, gooey cheese on a soft yet crisp flour tortilla. Oh and the salsa that it comes with, bomb as fuck. Gotta admit, the thing was kind of pricey for what it was, but on the plus side it kept me satisfied all day until dinner when I had my Subway fix. So in closing, roll through the hood watch yourself and if you get hungry pull into the nearest Tam’s because although i went to number 35, you have 20 more of them to choose from within that ghettofied area. Peace out and word to your mother.
