Awesome tacos and only for $ 1. The location is in an awkward corner of a big intersection and not much parking but the tacos are Delish!

I was with my friend since she used to live in culver city, anyways we live near a taco el gallito truck/restaurant in harbor city. I wanted to compare the quality of both. And boy I wasn’t let down. It taste the same awesome! I always get a asada burrito no beans, and sometimes tacos or nachos. Food there is insanely cheap. 1.50 tacos 5 – 7 dollar burritos and 7 dollar nachos with meat can’t beat that. I will always be a reoccurring customer to any taco el gallito truck I find.

This is my «go-to» taco truck. $ 1.50 each. I usually get the carne asada and also the carnitas. Two types of hot sauce and an avocado sauce also. Of course onions, cilantro, radishes and jalepeno’s if you want them. I like my tacos picanté. I usually add in another 25 cents for a tip. Although the last time when we had relatives over and I bought close to 50 tacos… I gave them ten dollars. Everybody loved the tacos.

Their Asada quesadilla is pretty big and delicious for a reasonable price. I love the sauce that comes with it, a little spicy but has a hint of sweet in it. I would recommend if you want a Asada quesadilla to go there.

Best Tortas!!! I use to live walking distance from an El Gallito truck when I live in Westwood. Now I live in Beverly Hills, and this is my nearest truck! 10 minute drive, but WORTHIT! Try the Al Pastor Torta(No onions, extra cheese), or the Buche Torta! Only one negative: If you order a lot of tacos to go, VERIFYTHATTHEYAREALLINTHEBAG, as they tend to miss one or two tacos every time…

Well I go here a lot because it’s right up the street from my house. Burritos SUCK they don’t have enough meat in them and it’s expensive for no meat. Tacos on thee other hand are great always nice and hot with good amount of meat in them. I guess it just depends who the cook is. But this truck is pretty decent compared to others in LA.

Not quite 5 stars, but solid 4 tonight… I ordered three asada tacos @ 1.50 each and they come to you undressed. There is a condiment table nearby to add cilantro, radishes, onions, salsa, etc. I don’t like my meat well done so this was definitely tough meat to chew and the pieces are thin so you mostly taste char and jerk. The tacos came out warm and the tortillas were excellent. What made one of my tacos really satisfying was the addition of the avocado salsa. The avocado salsa is very fresh and punched with flavor and this alone is the reason I will come back for more. No chips here, by the way, so no nachos for sale. Great prices, awesome tortillas, and avocado salsa make this place a neighborhood go-to for late-night tacos. Staff is also very friendly and that completes my 4-star rating!

These El Gallito trucks are like my own little rolling snack shops all throughout LA! I have had MANY tacos in my life(ask anyone who knows me I’m in love w tacos) and these are some of the best. They serve all the good varieties of meat: pollo, asada, pastor, and more plus they are fast and basically like the McD’s of tacos because the trucks all are consistent and serve up that hot n’ fast taco, not that played out slimy shat taco. Good…like you’ll go back good… Also want to mention they are open late like many other Unilocaler’s have mentioned and that is also verrrry good and nothing is better than them late night tacos when you are wasted and pay Über to stop and wait for you to scarf a couple down! You are not living and are merely existing until you have done this in LA! Best part: $ 1.50 for a taco.

My father and I came to Kaiser early and we’re looking for something cheap and fast. He ordered 3 tacos de Asada and I ordered a Breakfast burrito. We were both disappointed, we are both Mexican and have high expectations for Tacos and Mexican food in general. My father states that there was no flavor on the taco after putting salsa and even salt. The breakfast burrito I had had more beans than anything else, wasn’t your standard burrito. Clearly, we were disappointed and don’t believe to come back here.

This place is worth a drive, cheap good quality food… the tacos are amazing and they have all type; asada, pastor, cabeza, lengua, carnitas, buche, tripas, pollo and chorizo power!!! And even better their tortas! Also what i love is that they dont give u greasy meat thay leaves your hands all oily cause other taco places their meat is all fat and nasty… Plus their here late weekdays and weekends until 2−3am which is great for late night cravings! U won’t regret this taco truck!!!

Absolutely amazing!!! We’re vegetarian and tried this for the first time last night, and omg it was the best! We couldn’t stop eating. We have lived around the corner for over a year and can’t believe we didn’t try eating here before. Staff were very friendly and the horchata was amazing as well. Can’t say enough good things about the freshness of the food and how delicious it was.

Tacos El Gallito is part of a troop of yellow trucks that camp out in various locations across the greater LA area; there is even one about half a mile away from this location at La Cienega and Venice. It took me a while to warm up to El Gallito(I missed my old neighborhood truck, El Paladar Oaxaqueno) but I am now a fan. I usually get the cabeza(they don’t have lengua for some reason) and it is moist and delicious. My BF gets the al pastor and carnitas and is very happy. Last time he tried the chorizo which is very moist but too seasoned for his taste(and piping hot). The quality of the tortillas is usually good: sometimes they seem like standard-grocery-store and other times they feel more handmade. It is your typical street taco – double tortilla + meat. The tacos come naked but there is a table with various condiments and toppings so you can customize them as you please. Burritos are pretty solid and hearty but I usually just get tacos. If you take your order to go they will also pack a whole cooked onion and pepper as a side. The horchata is pretty tasty too.

standard taco truck, $ 4 burritos. Eat here often, and I’m still alive. edit: burritos are up to $ 5, unless you want more than the standard amount of meat, or less than the standard amount: a veggie burrito is $ 6(???).
