Tacos Alvarado

So delicious! This is one of the only taco trucks I can trust. Everything is so good… the tacos, tortas, burritos, all of it. Parking can be a bitch sometimes, if you can’t find a spot near the truck. They’re here pretty late too, until midnight I believe.

Best taco spot I have found in the valley and in Los Angeles !! These tacos are not to fuck around with haha amazing!

This is one of my favorite tacos and burritos spot. The staff is always friendly and fast service. The asada meat is always has a great taste. Tried the chorizo they are ok. The pastor are also great. The burrito is like $ 6. Parking it’s sometimes full but you always seem to find a spot.

Taco, taco, taco flavored kisses. Seriously, really good tacos and burritos here. I’ve been coming here for years.

Drove out during listed hours, truck was nowhere to be found.

They now have a place a steps down from their truck its right in between the 2 dealerships (baja and roadrunner) from 9am to 7pm the ladies are so nice the chicken quesadilla is super cheesy and authentic very pleased (:

Have come a few times. So far its one of the better (flavor and cleanliness) taco trucks from most in the Canoga Park area.
Asada — Tacos and Burritos are very good. Meat is good and not fatty.

The meat is prepared very well and is very tasty. Especially the al pastor — if you’re al pastor fan, you will love this place as they grill it on a rotisserie. A couple of my tacos we’re a little bit short on meat. Also, I did not like the tripas tacos as it must have only been boiled and was not crispy at all — which is the way I like them. Also, they have grilled onions and jalapenos.

I was craving tacos and stumbled upon this place (or in this case, taco truck) on Unilocal and with the 5 star rating I decided to come try it out. Unilocal,thank you. Tacos Alavarado does not disappoint.
We ended up ordering 20 tacos and a cheese quesadilla. I tried asada, pork, chicken — all so good. I could sit there and eat all day. Aside those I mentioned they have carnitas, lengua (tongue), cabeza, and more. They also have burritos.

. definitely an authentic Mexican food truck. The food is really good and doesn’t leave you feeling like you just ate some mystery meat. Also, they are quick! I really liked this place

Despite the name I ended up getting a burrito. It was a positive experience though I do not have details. But it wasn’t bad and I am not dead or sick so 4 stars for this place.

One word to describe these tacos is DELICIOUS!!! Been coming here now for a few years enjoying the food they provide. Very tasty tacos. The spot it an actual Trailer taco stand on the side street about one block east on sherman way passing desoto Ave. will keep coming back for more, the lady that runs this taco truck is super sweet and an intensely hard worker! Simply the best taco in town. Me and my girlfriend use to go there almost every night. These tacos are the best and closet taste of real Mexican tacos regardless. I suggest everyone to give them a try and you will be back again and again!

Open late night which is a huge plus. Always made to order. Love it, delicious asada and al pastor!

Best Tacos I can get within an arms reach of my pad! Super tasty, great price, awesome guys working the truck who are quick, friendly and helpful. Never have had a bad experience here — their salsas are great and compliment the meat very well.
So happy to have a truck like this within walking distance. Cash only so come prepared! They begin serving at 6PM on most nights.

I have to agree with other posts. The best taco stand in the 818. The condiments — -salsa, onions, cilantro, radishes — -were kept chilled! Amazing for a taco truck! The grilled onions were a treat! The cashier was friendly & speaks English! (Told me where to find the condiments). His prices are extremely reasonable.

Best tacos locally to me. Just a hop and skip down the street. Only thing is when I went recently they had folded up the onion/​cilantro condiments and put it on for you instead. The salsa is still there though. Can’t help but pull over when I pass by this taco truck!

Love getting my tacos from this food truck!!! The cashier is always friendly and patient! This spot has never been a let down. Good Cabeza meat not all fatty and stuff

Best Taco Truck in the 818 hands down. Customed tacos just the way I like them: Carne Asada, Tripas, & Chorizo. Doesn’t get any better then that. Try it! You won’t regret this spot I promise!

Great Food. We got recommended to try this place out from someone that is very picky when it comes to Mexican food. I think they are replacing the Tacos Al Vapor truck because when i took a picture of the truck it said Alvarado and not Al Vapor.
Anyway its really cheap at $ 1.25 a Taco and $ 5 a burrito.
the tacos are small so you might want to get at least 4 if you are a big guy like me. Asada, Cabeza, Lengua, Tripas, Sudero, Al Pastor, Carnitas, Buche, Chorizo and Pollo.
I can only understand a couple of them. Asada Beef, Lengua Tongue, Carnitas Pork, Pollo Chicken.
The Tacos come bare with just meat so you are going to have to help yourselfs to the condiments and add accordingly. Ask for the Jalapenos and Onions. They are free but you have to ask. Grilled Onions and Jalapenos.
Tried 4 different flavors and they were all equally delicious. I thought I would have to keep driving to Taco Reyes on Topanga to keep getting good tacos. Glad this place is as good. Oh and Cash only
