ANYTIME A PLACEHASTHEDISHMENTIONEDINTHEIRNAME, TRYTHATDISHFIRST! INTHISCASE, THEIRALPASTORISOUTOFTHISWORLDDELICIOUSANDPERFECTLYSPICED! I usually get the al pastor burrito mojado but I have also enjoyed their carnitas and their asada. All very delicious and although people are usually standing around the order window, it’s quick service! Highly recommend going after a night of drinking especially. This will annihilate any potential hangover! ;)

Tortas are my ABSOLUTEFAVORITE! They make them so perfectly. This place is like a ten minute walk fro my house which is even better. Service is pretty fast and the green salsa is amazing on the tortas and tacos. Nachos are pretty big so I’d recommend either sharing or saving some for later if you do end up getting them. Nonetheless still great! If you order the small fries they’re bigger than the lager at McDonald’s for only $ 2. Prices are amazing! Favorite taco place.

Any place with suadero(brisket) as tender and flavorful as this place, is alright with me. The carne asada and pastor are equally as good. Not the cleanest surroundings, but I come for the tacos, not the ambiance, so that’s no problem for me. One draw back is that they only accept cash. However, there is a sketchy ATM connected to the laundromat, for those brave enough.

This is the local spot. Me and my friends have been eating here a few times per month, for years, some of us going on a decade. If you like Mexican food that’s low cost, high value, and served quickly by a hard working staff, you’re in the right place. If you like Mexican TV and want to mingle with the neighborhood, stay a while… order«for here» and head out back, there’s a nice little dining area with telenovelas, nature shows, and soccer games on tap. Oh and that’s where the CONDIMENTBAR is… ignore reviews that say there is not one. Street parking only, but you can usually find a spot at the laundry mat in the same corner if you’re just picking up. Also if you live in L.A., you should be able to walk or bike to a decent taco place. TIP: tacos al pastor is the obvious choice, but the vegetarian burrito is also really good. Even better with added chicken or al pastor(seriously).

$ 1.25 Al Pastor Taco The flavor was good but it was a little fatty and lacked some of that good olé grease. Loaded with raw onion and cilantro. No pineapple though. Watery hot sauce and the smallest handful of chips. No condiment bar. Street parking only.

The food is very good if you order to go. But do not plan on eatomg there. The place is pack with drunk guys asking for money every 2 to 3 minutes. Drug dealing in plain eye site. Even the drug dealers go inside the kitchen and talk to the cooks. What type of business are they running? I asked!

I don’t know what it was. I am not a fan. I went late last night(sunday) and tried a total of 5 tacos: 2 al pastor 3⁄5: decent but flavors were unbalanced, temp. was cold 1 el pollo 1⁄5: Bland and nasty. One of the worse tacos I’ve ever had 1 carnitas 2⁄5: Meh Meh Meh 1 asada: 1.5÷5: Dry Dry Dry Corn tortilla: EWWWW Green Sauce: Zero flavor I had strong hopes for the food after seeing the guy cooking the food in the front but then it went down hill from there. Around the corner their was food trays sitting outside exposed which is nasty. No salsa bar except for 5 dried up sliced radishes. A complete waste of money and ended up throwing away half of it even after trying to doctor it up. My advice is to skip this place. I should have went to the taco truck across the street there were actually people waiting around it.

I really like the tacos from this place. The tacos al pastor are worth the one hour drive for me. If I come to LA I am stopping at this place. These street tacos come with piña and it reminds me of the street tacos in Mexico City.

This place makes the best veggie burrito I’ve ever had. I used to live right around the corner and would usually eat here between 5 – 10 times per week. If I am going to be anywhere within 15 miles of this place, I will make a detour to pick up one of these god damn delicious burritos. It’s perfect. Best burritos ever. If you don’t like Tacos Al Pastor, you’re a fucking moron.

Really good, super cheap, late night or lunch time BOMBASSFOOD. Cash Only. Seating area(not fancy but it surves it’s purpose). Quick service. Know what things are, this place is pretty authentic. Dont mess around and order a tongue taco if you’re not bout that life. Oh yeah, they have fries.

This place has the best carne asada burrito. It’s absolutely the best if you are into authentic Mexican. Get it with red and green sauce! Only seven dollars for a huge burrito!

We got the breakfast burrito Especial, which basically includes everything you could ever want in a burrito. The hotdog was a surprise and added a smoky richness we haven’t had yet. This burrito was good to the last drop– every single bite was amazing. The second best part was the red and green sauces.(Also, the tortilla chips were very fresh). You must get BOTH sauces. On our burrito quest, this was definitely the best one and I’m already craving it again… Best for price and flavor CASHONLY! Mmmmmmmmm…

Decent place for your taco, burrito and Mexican plate needs. I went here for a breakfast burrito and it was quite tasty. $ 6 for the burrito and they let me change the meat n stuff in the burrito to my liking. Not much parking here, but all in all a good corner walk up spot for basic Mexican. :)

I’ve been a customer for 3 years. Meats are well seasoned. I love that they keep their condiments and salsas outside for you to grab. Go between the hours of 12pm and 4pm.

Awesome pastor tacos. Awesome tacos, period. All meats are juicy and tasty, just enough grease but nothing overkill. Periodically, they’ll set the spit-grilling meat device on the street itself, but most of the time the cooking is done inside their tiny hut — seating available in the back. One of my favorite spots in all of Hollywood. Their burritos suck so steer clear of them. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend anything other than their tacos, and if you’ve got a large order to go you could call in advance. Convenient since I live walking distance in this ‘ghetto’ neighborhood as you assholes like to call it. I grew up in this ghetto! It builds more character and you end up developing larger huevos than spoiled suburban kids. It’s really not that shady of an area but you privileged ones should just eat your tacos and get out before the boogie man comes to get you. ;)

I’ll never regret the day I stopped ignoring this place. From my place on the edge of East Hollywood and Los Feliz, it’s pretty much the same distance(if not closer) to a few other favorite spots. But, as it’s not really next to anything unlike spots in Los Feliz, Silver Lake, etc., it never seemed to be a «while I’m out, I’ll stop and grab a bite» location. Now I don’t need to be nearby or passing by – it’s definitely a destination unto itself… and for very good reason. First and most importantly, their food is excellent at any price… but fortunately, price is hardly an issue as it costs very little to get very full(and I’m a big eater). Like its menu, the service and outdoor dining area are simple and no frills, but adequate nonetheless. Some might be a bit turned off by the dining area and location(it’s on a safe but tatty stretch of Santa Monica, on which you’ll need to finding parking), but to me, that just makes it even better – it feels like a reliable neighborhood joint that makes it because it serves the community well.

A decent Mexican corner hut with good prices and terrible parking. Bonus points for the many choices of meat and points taken for the from-the-store chips. You know it’s headed in the right direction when you get an assortment of radishes, cucumber, limes and salsa with every order. Tacos run the bargain price of $ 1.25, nachos with mean $ 6 and everything else in between. Though it has a lot, spaces are marked for the nearby laundromat and there is a lot of permit-only parking in this hood, always a tricky proposition.

Okay… the area is ghetto. The people who hang around there… kinda ghetto… but I have to say… the food is pretty good. I got A Pastor tacos and burrito and I gobbled it up. You get two tacos for that one price! It was good — especially with the Salsa verde sauce. THATISSPICY. I’m Thai. I KNOW my spices. The burrito is big for $ 5. I really liked it. I cut it in half and ate it for lunch the next day. I just don’t like the area but the food and the service is fine. NOTES: * CASHONLY * Parking on street — be careful — busy street! Cars going back and forth! * Nice people * Kinda ghetto… so be careful * Get the Salsa Verde if you like Spicy!
