Taco Catering Company

Good job guys, when the company I usually book was fully committed I gave these guys a call. Cheap prices, good food and reliable. What else can I ask for

We used taco catering company for our corporate office luncheon which staffs 150 employees we where all very very happy they where able to accommodate our location and our event size. I did not get the names of the crew that came but my co-​worker will be using the company for an upcoming event. Thank you for the great food definitely use them again !

My now husband and I reserved their catering services for our wedding. They didn’t show up! No call. No heads up that they couldn’t make it. Nothing. We finished taking our wedding photos and were on our way up for our introductions when we found out that our wedding would have a huge problem. No food!
We were very lucky to have family help save the day by getting a new emergency caterer (chipotle and a pizza guy who was already there) and fronting us almost $ 1,000 but it did force us to change up our whole line of reception events. What was supposed to cost us around $ 800 ended up costing us almost twice as much due to their negligence.
To be fair the taco catering people did reimburse us the extra money it costed us to fix their mistake. Though it did take them a half a week to respond to our emails and phone calls.
We wish we could rate their food but we have not tasted it. Wish we would have went with someone else even if it costed us a little more money. Our wedding did go great but if we didn’t have such amazing friends and family to help fix their mistake,
may have ruined our reception.
If you do go with their services we wish you the best of luck. And be sure to keep tabs on them. Especially the day before to make sure they will be at your event.

TACO​CA​TER​ING​.COM completely no-​showed my best friend’s wedding on Friday, July 17^th. That’s right; NO SHOW. Bride and groom had to fork out another $ 1000 for emergency Chipotle catering that didn’t arrive until nearly 9pm.
Horrible company. Definitely do NOT recommend. They took the deposit and everything for the event and simply didn’t come.

UNPREPARED & UNPROFESSIONAL
I hired this company for our wedding reception. All seemed to go smoothly until the day of our event.
1. When I saw that only one cook showed up for 80 people, I called the company to find out if more were coming. The woman I spoke to was immediately defensive and said that if I didn’t think the cook was capable, then they would send an additional cook for $ 120. She told me that each cook can handle up to 100 guests. I was shocked at the tone she took with me. As this wasn’t in our budget, I declined the additional cook. BIG MISTAKE. It became a joke as to how long the food line got and how slowly our cook performed. It was bad.
2. The cook showed up with dirty dishes and utensils. He wouldn’t have said anything if I hadn’t noticed and then told me he was sorry and that his wife was supposed to have washed them. When I took the items to the kitchen to wash them, he stopped me to add more items that needed to be washed. I didn’t expect that I’d be washing dishes at my wedding reception.
3. The cook forgot to bring the legs to the grill and asked if it would be okay to cook with the grill on the ground. My maid of honor stepped-​in and told him to call someone immediately to bring the legs. Because of the delay, he started cooking an hour later than scheduled. He did stay longer to make up for the time, but, seriously?!
Very unprofessional and not worth the stress that I had to experience at my wedding reception.
The 1 star is for the tacos. They were good.
There are a lot of great taco trucks in Los Angeles that will treat you professionally. I advise you to go elsewhere. I won’t ever hire this company again.

If I could I’d take off 3 stars. On the day of my wedding (and the week leading up to it) I didn’t hear back from the company after giving a deposit. I emailed to increase the amount of food from 85 to 100 people. I emailed them to confirm the time of setup. NOTHING. I didn’t hear from them until my wedding day, at 12:30. THE WEDDING WAS AT 3! They were my food, my drink (because I ordered a margarita machine) AND they only sent 1 person instead of the 2 they had told us during booking. So, our taco guy tried his best and was as fast as possible, but there’s only so much the guy can do. I had a lot of guests and there was at a point a 20 foot line waiting.
They were awesome during booking, I was dealing with a different person, I think her name was Valeria? Then towards the end it switched to a guy. That’s where it all went wrong. I still can’t believe no one responded to my emails or my calls on the week right before the wedding. NO ONE EVEN CALLED ME, and guess what, they didn’t up my order to 100 like was asked either. The guy was nice when he called me at 12:30 but it doesn’t take away all the stress it put me through.
Their only saving grace was that HECTOR was AMAZING. He’s the reason for a 5 star review, the stress their ordering department put me through takes off 2 stars. No bride should ever have to worry about whether there will be food at her wedding 3 hours prior to the event. I was close to an anxiety attack and even thinking about ordering pizza last minute.
The price was extremely affordable, but some communication would’ve been nice.
THIS PART OF THE REVIEW IS FOR HECTOR, our taco guy. I think his name is Hector. He is amazing!!! He did our taco sampling at our house and then he did our wedding, he really did such a great job at handling all the people. Everyone commented on how nice he was and how tasty the food was. If it were any other guy I don’t know if we would have been so happy with the service.
Thank you for going above and beyond, we’d hire hector in a heart beat for any other events we may have. HECTOR IS THE MAN!!!

I was looking for a taco catering company that can cater my sons 18^th birthday party. Found tacocatering through Unilocal.Reservation was easy. I commend them because I changed the dates three times but they are so accommodating and very nice. I’ve communicated with Albert via email and he was always courteous.
We had Jessica and Graciella as our chef. Both of them were professionals, and very nice to all the kids. The tacos was amazing, everybody loved it.
The only issue was the communication from the office to the chefs, since they forgot to tell them that I made a deposit before the party was confirmed. They still have my full balance in the bill. I showed Jessica the email confirmation about my deposit plus my credit card charges. She didn’t argue with me and she took the balance.
I will recommend them for your next birthday taco party.

I had a fabulous experience with Taco Catering Company! I was working with Valerie over the phone and email and she was always very professional, courteous and quick to respond. Everything was set up perfectly. David & Gus were our chefs for the party and they were so friendly and polite and easy to work with. EVERYONE loved the tacos and we barely had any leftovers! I would definitely work with this company again!

After having a small wedding in Vegas, we wanted to throw a party for our friends here in Los Angeles. I wanted to make sure that no one had to stand at a grill and there wasn’t just a pot luck smattering of dishes. Many food options just seemed so expensive until I found these guys.
Not only was the food affordable for around 75 people it was also hot and delicious. David showed up a little early, got all set up and started serving the food when he said he would. There was plenty for everyone and the two hour serving time was perfect. He even packed the leftovers into plastic containers for us before he cleaned up and left.
Everyone at the party really enjoyed the food and there was plenty to go round. I would definitely hire these guys again.

Had our tasting last night for our wedding in August and everything was great!
Anthony Bonilla was the person who came over to our place to give us samples of what we would have catered at our wedding.
He was professional and even arrived 15minutes early. He brought all the supplies he needed and even the grill they would use on the same day.
Enjoyed the carne asada tacos the best as well as the quesidillas! He served my fiancé and I as well as a few friends that were over. Great time and delicious food and Anthony brought his own toppings. He was great and answered all our questions. Although we haven’t had our wedding yet, my fiancé and I feel reassured that it will run smoothly and professionally. Looking forward to having Anthony return on the day of our wedding!

My fiancé and I had been looking into various different catering companies for our wedding this year and came across Taco Catering through a Google search.
The price was what immediately caught our attention as they were significantly cheaper than ALL of the other local taco caterers in the area.
I’ll admit, we were slightly skeptical as to how good the food and service would actually be with their prices being so reasonable, so we decided to schedule a «Tasting Day» where we could have them come to our home and cook the food on site, before making a firm commitment to go through with their service.
This Tasting day proved to be well worth it, as we were able to taste all the food for ourselves, plus 3 other friends or family members of our choice. This cost $ 100 with $ 50 of it going to the final cost of the catering event if we ended up liking what they prepared for us.
Long story short, we ended up booking with Taco Catering with no hesitancy what so ever. The food was phenomenal and our server, Anthony Bonilla, was extremely professional and personable. He told us that he would be the server at our wedding and insisted on answering any questions we had to ensure we had a peace of mind before booking.
We were very impressed and are now even more excited for the wedding!

This year I decided not to stress myself out with all the cooking and prep getting our annual Christmas party together, so I did some research and came across Taco Catering. I requested a quote for my party and received it within hours. Since Taco Catering has fair pricing and a web discount, I booked my event. I dealt with Valerie who always responded to my emails very quickly and if I needed to make any changes, Valerie took care of everything including sending me updated invoices. The night before my event, Valerie took my deposit over the phone and verbally confirmed my order, and the cook’s arrival time, serve time, and departure time. When the cook arrived, he was very friendly and set up station rapidly. My guests arrived excited to eat and I was very happy with the way the cook interacted with my guests. He explained the meat choice to each guest and was happy to serve. When it was time for the cook to leave, he left all the leftover food with me and he even packed everything himself. His station was packed away quickly and I called in my payment. Definitely money well spent!
Now… The food!!! We had the Hawaiian pork which was delicious! The chicken fajitas were my favorite. The cook grilled the veggies and the seasoning was amazing. Carne Asada is my husband’s favorite. We also had rice and beans on the side. I know my rice and beans so they had to be good… And they were!!! The cook also laid out cilantro, onion, red and green salsa, and limes. He provided utensils, napkins, and plates. I didn’t even have to worry about that!
I definitely recommend Taco Catering. Professional from start to finish and the food is amazing!!!
