Al pastor tacos are so good ! Red salsa is hot, avocado green is my fav. All the salsas have a unique flavor and taste great. I went last week and ordered enough food for 3 people, and the cashier lady ended up giving me an incorrect total, she overcharged by $ 5, being that I ordered so much food, I didn’t even think about giving her a couple of $ 20s since it sounded right to me, after she had the money in her hands, she took another look and she corrected herself as she realized her mistake and gave me back the correct change, she could have kept it and I would have never noticed. Not just great food on the cheap, they are also honest. Also, they are in a white truck now. Give them a shot, you wont be disappointed.

Omg I love it. I eat the tacos here a little too much — I can’t say it’s the best tacos I’ve had, but it’s definitely the best bang for your buck in terms of having a balance of quality and affordability. Only $ 1 for any of their tacos! Tortillas are pretty good too, 4⁄5 stars. Having a super satisfactory dinner for the price of $ 5 — not many other non-fast food places can do that. SALSAS(5⁄5 stars) Their spicy red & spicy green salsa are BOMB! Finally a salsa(non-habanero) sauce that’s spicy and delicious.(too many places cater to the non-spicy American taste tsk) 1. Asada tacos(4⁄5 stars): Pretty delicious. Meat isn’t too tough, flavor is smoky good. 2. Cabeza(4⁄5 stars): Tender! Soft and juicy. 3. Tripa(3⁄5 stars): A little on the chewy side. Still pretty good, but not my favorite. 4. Horchata(5⁄5 stars): maybe it’s been too long since I’ve had good Mexican horchata, but somehow I love the one they serve here. Not too cinnamon-y and not too watered down. And only $ 2! I’ve yet to try their other items, but looking forward to trying them alllll(burritos, quesedilla) Located closer to the intersection of Atwater & Fletcher(rather than Larga). Cash only :)

I ordered a few tacos and when I got home I was like Damn!!! I don’t do all the different salsas, onions and other stuff and I must say they are the best(carne asada) tacos I have had in a while. They gave me a good amount of onions and cilantro on the side for my wife and kids. They literally devoured the tacos like it was nothing. We will definitely return soon.

so the major draw is that the tacos are only one dollar and you can eat tacos while locals ride up and down the block on mountain bikes, if you ask for some pineapple on the carnitas, they will do it for you so im glad i asked. seems like mostly locals coming to this place but couldve just been at the time i came. it is a camper by the side of the road with two guys on the grill and a woman on the register, the woman was very friendly and the guys seemed excited to have a white guy there with access to a Unilocal account and a welcoming appetite, maybe they could tell i was coming from another taco spot and could tell i was ready to get delerious from all the cow meat i was about to ingest so they were humored by that, who knows, the point is that they were friendly. The place does all the specialty meats and that is what I look for in a small dining establishment on wheels or hole in the wall. they had three squeeze bottles on the outside ledge, green salsa, red salsa, and watered down guacamole(no more watered down than other trucks) they also had pickled onions, radish and a lemon on the plate when they ever so gracefully handed it me. it has the big neon signs so you cant miss it, unless youre blind, but in that case you shouldnt be driving anyway. in closing, the lengua and cabeza meat were a 3.7 out of 5 and the carnitas with pineapple was a 4.2, but i could be bias cause i was coming from my newly discovered favorite spot in hollywood, and i wont mention where cuz it might stop you from giving them you business which i believe they are working diligently for. god bless america

I was on the way home one night, and became absolutely overwhelmed by a desire to eat tacos. Now, my normal go-to spot is Taco Zone on Alvarado, but I was on Fletcher when I starting checking out Unilocal. So, I wheeled over to this truck to give it a shot. Sadly, it was not that great of an experience. I got four different meats on tacos, and found that none of them were too hot. Oh well, I am glad people are into this truck and willing to support them, but as for me and my house, we will frequent the Zone.

$ 1 tacos no tax. Need I say more? I usually get a variety of tacos: asada, pollo, al pastor… load them up with their amazing spicy green salsa, and I’m good to go. The al pastor here is my all time favorite taco, the meat is seasoned right without a lot of the grease than I’m used to. The tacos are small but are packed with tender meat. Good luck finding a better deal than this.

Went there last night because I wanted a Burrito and my daughter wanted Hamburgers. So I got her burgers and went here for a burrito based on Unilocal reviews. Nothing special here people. SUPER greasy meat. Not flavorful Not Marinated Not worthy of the high ratings. Nice people though working hard but deliver slow service and not sure why. I waited about 14 minutes for 2 burritos. Shouldn’t this long especially with only 2 people ahead of me. Won’t be visiting this place again

Dude, hunt this place DOWN. Sometimes its on Riverside near the 2, sometimes off Fletcher. $ 1 tacos, and they are delicious. Are you kidding me? Do yourself a favor before going out: go spend $ 5 dollars here, live a little.

Surprisingly disappointed by this place. I’ve never really had a mediocre experience at a taco truck(yeah its a truck now, no longer a stand), until now. We ordered cabeza, tripas, buche extra crispy, al pastor, and suadero. The best one was tripas for sure, the buche had a funny almost chalky taste to it, the al pastor was good but didn’t taste as good as it looked, suadero was pretty bland and the cabeza was almost too fatty and oily for me. I know, what’s wrong with me? I wonder if it was an off night? The woman taking our order was super nice and I had great vibes from this place, just not crazy about their tacos. So sad… I prefer the truck at Verdugo and Ave 31 to this. Even Tacos Arizas in Echo Park is better. Hmm… maybe I’ll come back and try again?

This cart used to be AWESOME when they were still around. The meat was marinated perfectly and tacos were only a buck. the only thing was that they were smaller than your average taco. but i loved that you add all the toppings yourself, so they cant shiest you on it. LOL I miss this spot, sad cause it was only two blocks away from home!!!

The Taco Cart at Fletcher and Larga is now the Taco Truck on Fletcher, but rest assured that its the same peeps, the same tacos, and the same spicy ass salsa! After a month long break from my fave taco joint in Atwater, I stopped by for a few tacos after work and am reaffirming that the this place has the BEST Buche and Suadero in all of LA. The other stuff is pretty good too but the Buche and Suadero reign supreme. Its good to see hard working peeps go from taco cart to taco truck! Keep it up and soon one truck will turn into two. Hell you might be looking at the next big thing in Mexican Cuisine since the Mexican Pizza debuted at Taco Bell(that was a joke). Cue«Moving on Up» WARNING: The avocado salsa is highly flammable. Steer clear of it unless you are a professional fire breather or a baby Dragon in training.

I was introduced to this taco stand a few months ago after a Dodger game, i usually would hit another spot in Echo Park but i have to say this place is much closer to home and just as good as that other spot. Tried all five meats that they offer, at $ 1 dollar a taco, it is worth to try them all i think, so my order consisted of two of each meat, had to try their meat by itself to really get a feel of the taste they offer, and one with all the fixings. carne asada — O.K. al pastor — was good buche — alright carnitas — good sudadero — not a fan. but it was ok, not much taste to me. Now if your find your way near this place after a Dodger game or just on the way around here, give this stand a try, they will comfort your need of food. Enjoy.

Again, thank you freaking Unilocal. This stand is literally at the corner of Fletcher and Larga. I came from my music studio on Glendale in Atwater and while our immediate neighborhood is cute and has lots of good eats, nothing really stays open past 5pm minus the bars. So it was between Del Taco and the stand. Duhhhh. I mean I love me some Del but i read ONEDOLLARTACOS and boom I’m running to the car. Again ONEDOLLARTACOS. In case this isn’t resonating with you, the third time is the charm. ONEDOLLARTACOS. Have you seen that one Invader Zim episode where Grr becomes the house and decides he wants tacos and yells out in a booming voice TACOOOOOS?! Well this place is the physical representation of that. First up, I didnt’ see anyone with burritos. Oh wait, it’s a TACO truck. They’re a dollar. For you burrito whiners, just buy like 5 tacos. Done. The other reviewers pointed it out as well, the condiment section is legit. They have bags and salsa cups prepared though you have to kinda fish around for the lids. They are definitely there though. Red onions, white onions with cilantro, salsa roja, verde and the guac salsa, plus some solid pico de gallo. And i don’t know which of them it was but something has some major spice to it so much that i wiped my nose that was dripping from the kick and then my damn nose was on fire. FAIL to me. They have cold cokes and Squirts(not sure if there were other drinks) but if you wanted anything else there’s a liquor store like 50 feet away on the same side of the street. Coolest part? The guy who makes your tacos pretty much grabs a hot tortilla off the grill and scoops the meat with it. Gangsta status son. Can’t wait to go back!

There’s nothing like the look on anyone’s face when you tell them that you love street food. They just wonder how often you have stomach problems. Will you be needing to run to the bathroom while visiting them or on the road? No, not at all. In fact, if there’s anything I’ve been struck by food poisoning at more chain fast food establishments than I have ever at a taco stand. It just doesn’t happen. They’re here to make money and they want to do that by loyalty. You can’t create loyalty by making your patrons sick. Not only that, but these flight by night sort of establishments shoot to get your loyalty even more than anything else as they are hoping to establish regulars. Often coming back to the same spot for years. This one spot has got to be at least 3 years and going since I first saw it. Want to trip someone up? Come here and order the more«exotic» meats on the menu. Such as Head! Yes, that’s right Cabeza… which is the head and if you’re a fan of all the nasty bits like me, you’ll appreciate how tender this is. Letting it steam by itself is a great way to bring out the flavors Buche. Now this is a much divided meat. Some parts use the throat and some parts use the stomach/belly. So it really depends and here’s a little secret I would like to pass on to you, ask for it to be dorado and they’ll crisp it up for you on the grill again. This will give it a nice little crispy bite to it. For you first timers, you could stick to the asada or al pastor, though with the al pastor… you know what, I would pass on it here. It’s not what I’m used to. It’s very rare to find a taco stand that masters all the meat cuts. So don’t be taken aback by this, it’s just part of the ebb and flow of how it works. But the rest of the items are delicious, well. then again, I’m a bit of a purist and I like my Al Pastor my own way/preference. So it is good, but just not great to me. The service here is top notch. Much like any good taco stand, it’s honor system or pay as you go. They trust what you say you had and hey, why not. I do believe that you could try to screw them over, but why would you? Didn’t you just finish eating your delicious tacos? That meal was well worth the low price. Over all, this is the spot in the area to go for tacos. Long grill can handle a lot of orders and the food is pretty much out of sight.

I often do love going to a well established fine dining restaurant. I love finding a delightful tasting menu and marvel how a dish pairs perfectly with the glass of wine poured for me. I like to savor a good uni or foie gras and note its texture and subtle flavors. But often times, I just want to get my grub on. I want to cruise the street and keep my eye out for a dirty food place like some street hooker on the corner. I want to roll up my sleeves and bury my face in a plate of nasty goodness. I have a secret vice for taco trucks. No, I don’t mean the latest trend of gourmet trucks. I am talking the stanky roach coach on wheels or the dirty taco stands that Los Angeles is known for. Put away your food snobbery and set aside your health concerns; you’ll find some tasty treats on the streets. I have my share of secret locations that I frequent. This spot in Atwater Village, I cannot take credit for. As I was talking to a friend of mine about food, we came upon the subject of taco trucks. I spouted off my favorites until she stopped me. «Hop in my car… let me show you my spot.» I had no idea where she was taking me until we got off the freeway and turned into a parking spot near UHaul. I saw a little huddle of people around some lights and some steam wafting into the cold night air. As I got out of the car, I could smell it. The fatty nasty stank of cooked beast. I suddenly turned part Homer Simpson and part Tina Fey. Mmmm… tacos. Mmmm I want to go to there. I could see by the faces on the people working the stoves of the stand that english would be useless. To order a plate of food, all you need is cash money and a finger to point. «Aye… amigo. todos por favor!» He started to hand me a plate of only carnitas and pastor until I uncovered one of his lids where he keeps the cabeza and lengua. «Yo soy chino, si» as I pointed to my eyes, and then I pointed down to my stomach… «Yo soy mexicano» He laughed and gave me two plates filled with tacos. For only $ 1 you can’t beat the price of these tacos considering how good they taste. I usually don’t get lengua or cabeza but this stand does it so well. Its flavorful and the fattiness is just right without being greasy. There is a succulent juiciness that does it just right. I’m positive I have seen some pig ears stewing in their big pot but I am never sure. Have the time I don’t even know what I’ve ordered. The people are nice. They don’t pressure you about anything at all. Many times I’ve had to remind them I got a drink from the Igloo! There is nothing fancy about this place. You grab your plate, dress it up with salsa and onions and you eat it standing up next to your car. Parking is easy at this location. I’ve never had a problem eating at this corner. None. No safety issues and no health issues. No montezuma revenge at night after eating these tacos. The only problem I have is overeating. My personal record is 12. Since my first visit, I have had the privilege of introducing the spot to friends who have all loved this stand as a real-deal taco stand. If you love your taco, you must come to this spot for a try.

Who knew there would be a day that you could type in Fletcher and Taco in a search and easily find the one little Taco Cart you were actually looking for? So like a few taco stands, this one does it right. If your in the neighborhood(Los Feliz, Attwater, Glendale, Silverlake, Glassell Park, Griffith) this is another place you can add to your«Proper Taco Stand/Truck.» Youll leave with money in your pocket unless your broke already or a pig, spice on your lips and most importantly a happy stomach. I have also never got sick from this place so that is a plus when dealing with stand/trucks. They have quality al pastor, carne asada, stomach and I think they may have brain but dont quote me on that one. They have plenty of salsas to choose from, pickled onioins, hot sauces and they even serve fresh grilled onions which is a nice touch. My only knock on the salsas is that the red sauce has chipotle. Great if you like chipotle… but I dont. Everything is a dollar, so you can easily get out of there only spending 5 bucks. Dont let the neighborhood fool you. It is on a side street/alley but there is always a good mix of people there. It may look super shady but you are surrounded by silverlake and attwatter, so how shady can it really be?

Especially at night, this taco cart stand thing looks so amazingly sketchy. But I came, I saw, and I ate. It was tasty, I didn’t feel sick the next day, so huzzah, it’s safe!(Relatively speaking.) It can be a little hard to miss, but it’s across a U-Haul place and auto shops. You can park right next to the cart and it should be all good. Tacos are a buck a piece, and are the small street taco sizes. Four types of meat to choose from, including typical beef, chicken, al pastor. They have a table full of various condiments and sauces to lather your food with. It’s a little fatty, a little greasy, but not too overboard. Enjoy it if you are in the area.

Darn, someone already beat me to reviewing this awesome taco cart! So my bro and I were driving down Fletcher when we noticed a flood of lights coming from the Larga block. To appease our curiosity, we just HAD to stop by and check the brightly lit corner out. The source of the light turned out to be four huge lamps shining down on my new favorite street food cart. The tacos were amazing!!! Oh man, they was soooo freaking awesome and cheap. $ 1 gets you 1 delicious taco with a generous helping of meat(4 kinds to choose from). You tell the guy what you want and how many of each and he will you a handful of meat for each taco. You can either eat right there on the street or take-out. I suggest standing there in the street chowing down with the rest of the locals. Oh man, the food looked so good I totally forgot to take pictures. I wish I did b/c it looks so amazing. Ahh, just Unilocaling it makes me want to go back for more!!! The cart is located near a bunch of auto shops so at night there’s plenty of street parking. People usually just park there for no more than 10 minutes if they are«dining in» so if you don’t see a parking spot at first, just circle around the block and a spot should clear up by the time you come back.
