ever since i moved to NELA i have been driving by a non-​descript building on valley blvd near CSULA and with the price of a nutritious snack really biting into my grocery budget i decided to stop by and check this business out.
from the looks of things superior nut is an old school/​family owned wholesale supplier for many retail shops (like the coffee bean) throughout socal. pull into their lot and you will see they have a small retail shop with quite a selection of nuts and spices that are about 20−30% cheaper than your whole foods or trader joes.
but this is when the magic just starts. if you are buying for a large group (like snacks for an afterschool program) you can get some very good discounts because they will make any of their retail products in 25 pound size for a very big discount.
hell for those prices i might get a group a friends and setup a co-​op group buy every few months.
