The lines are just awful here almost all of the time. It’s cramped and people are always bumping into each other. I always tend to go here though just because it’s so close to the USC buildings I have classes at. The staff are pretty decent. Some of them are nice while others may be just apathetic. I haven’t had an encounter with any rude staff unlike some of the reviews here. They make drinks incredibly slow though, hence the low rating. Usually you’ll get your drink within 10 – 15 minutes even without a long line. Also, the drinks are made pretty poorly. Sometimes I can’t even taste the coffee because of the amount of sugar in it.

Absolutely the worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to. You will have to wait for a while even if you use Tapingo to order in advance. The staff got a real bad attitude. They made me a wrong beverage and told me to ask Tapingo. I placed my drink on the counter for a second to grab my self a cupholder, when I picked it up again, she asked me if that was my drink! With an attitude! Hope to get a little comfort from a cup of hot chocolate on a miserable sick-to-school day yet my visit to Starbucks made my day worse. Please make this place better! Starbucks can do better than this!

Horrible. Wow. The«baristas» are so rude. It almost makes me feel bad that they have to hold a job and be so miserable. Tapingo nice job in filling students. Sometimes Trojan Grounds is not available on the app. So guess what? The health sciences Starbucks comes up. I was running to my final. I ordered tapingo. When I went to pick it up they said it’s not here! So when I searched«Trojan Grounds» on tapingo it said«Sorry we are temporarily unavailable»

Bad attitude bad drinks. Ordered a Café Au Lait and received a bland and lukewarm drink. Tried to exchange it for another drink and they stated«that’s how it’s supposed to be(referring to it being bland)». Okay no problem. I’ll go to Coffee Bean next time.

The worst starbucks I’ve ever been to. The card machine never work and the stuffs are so rude. I ordered double shots on ice grande size, but hey gave me a tall size, saying that this was for«easy ice» order. I used some milk on the counter, then it was interesting that the stuff told me I have to pay for it. for using a splash of milk on counter? lol If Starbucks wants to charge the milk on the counter, then what’s the point putting there? I would never go back this location.

As a frequent Starbucks customer and Starbucks gold card member, I am usually very pleased with their service. However, the USC Starbucks is not only slow but the staff are rude, unfriendly, and make horrible drinks. The wait is usually about 30 – 45 min from the time you walk in the store until the time you get your coffee. They are always out of stock of a bunch of pastries but they display them anyway. It is faster to use the Tapingo app and wait outside then to stand in line. However, the staff many times are very rude when you use Tapingo and they will ignore you while waiting to pick it up. They ask if you have a confirmation text, which a lot of times they don’t even send. In one occurrence I watched someone else pick up my drink and they accused me for trying to get another drink and said they could close down my account. The manager guy is extremely rude, never cares if the wait is long or if someone makes a mistake. The line alone just to order is slow because the staff doesn’t care and doesn’t look like they want to be there. They gave me a breakfast sandwich once that was still frozen in the middle and the wait to get it reheated was 15 minutes. A lot of times my drink is made so bad I don’t even drink it; it tastes like they put way too much syrup or completely missed an ingredient. The taste is so off compared to all other Starbucks and they don’t ever fix it.

This Starbuck’s is located on the campus of USC. At 5:00am the staff was friendly, and efficient with the coffee orders. They were busy because it was graduation day and the people just kept coming in. I was surprised that the shop was so well maintained. They had plenty of food items sandwiches, boiled eggs, salads, scones, and such ready for the hungry parents and students. It was nice to see that they had several workers behind the counter to make the purchases as quickly as possible. The seating area is located outside which would have been really nice except it was rainy and cold. Overall, all things considered the staff did a fine job serving everyone.

Was here this morning via drive thru and, it took a little while. They ran out of one breakfast sandwich, so I ordered another one, I get to the window to pay and they were out of that too. :(But, the S’ mores Frap was excellent. I hate ordering food and having to ask for napkins. This is the new Starbucks on Figueroa close to Kinkos and across from MCDOnalds.

Don’t even think about coming here during mid-morning, lunch and dinner hours unless you like waiting in thirty-minute lines. However, this Starbucks does save me from going hungry on days I don’t bring enough food for the day at school. I like the Healthy Times to-go meals they keep in the refrigerator(just be sure to microwave them!). Their service is cordial. Although they take gold cards, they don’t participate in the rewards, which is a bummer. Students who show their ID get the tax off of their purchase!

The staff here are nice, but they are tremendously understaffed. One person making 15+ drinks pretty regularly. At one point, I think I waited nearly 30 or more minutes just to reach the REGISTER. During peak hours in the night, I’ve waited up to 45 minutes. Massive waste of time. Most of the time, they get the drink right. Not any other choices on campus when you need a kick in the ass to stay up though, so what can you do.

I love this location for what it is! It’s on campus so it’s always busy, but they always make my drink correct and do so with friendly service!

This is not the Starbucks on the quad near Leavy. There are some incorrect photos in the photo bank. This is near Icon and Which Which. Previous review intended for another location. This location gets busy but copes well. Enjoy!

So slow… It takes them 3 minutes to server a customer. Why can’s they just put self-checkout machines?

When I was a student, this was known as TroGro and it was more of a minimart with a coffee bar. With the fairly recent facelift and corporate branding came a ridiculous line. I come here very often because it’s the closest one to me. Even if you don’t want to get a coffee, you have to stand in line for the register with the others… So obnoxious! Have a second register or something for kids who just want food, bottled beverages or snacks! Furthermore, while the staff here are friendly, awesome and patient, it is HORRIBLY understaffed with sometimes only ONE person making drinks for a line out the door. I’m sorry, but if you want to open something as desired as Starbucks on a college campus, you need to turn it into a bit of a machine with MORE baristas.

When I first came to USC, this was called Trojan Grounds or «TroGro.» As the only place on campus that sells food for 24 hours(give or take an hour in the middle of the night where they close to clean), it’s a godsend for many, especially during finals week when a cup of joe in the middle of the night is much needed. Aside from the traditional Starbucks offerings, they also sell a decent assortment of snacks(candy, power bars, chips, nuts, that sort of thing) and beverages. It’s not bad for a 24 hour convenience store. However, the lines and wait times are horrendous if you come at peak times. While the staff work extremely hard to do everything as fast as they can, the line for Starbucks beverages is the same as the other stuff. It sucks if I want to grab a quick bottle of water but have to wait 20 minutes to pay for it. For a short time, they had a separate cash register for non-Starbucks items but got rid of it. To avoid waiting in the long line for your drink, use the app Tapingo! You can order your drink in advance and pick it up in 15 minutes.

Where was the starbucks in the lobby when I was in college! Bottom floor of the dorms, this was a sweet location. Great supply of other drinks too, like a starbucks liquor store…

Aw I didn’t think this place was too bad. But to be fair I was there at 10 am on a Monday in the middle of the summer, so it definitely wasn’t at peak hours. Ladies were a bit disorganized but were still really friendly. Drinks were solid, nothing too crazy or out of the ordinary. Typical Starbucks experience for me which is at least 3 stars. I also liked all of the little sandwiches and food they had to go. My boyfriend and I were touring around the campus and it was a great place to go to get a bite to go before we toured the school he’ll be going to next year. I personally am just glad to know there’s a Starbucks on campus — will make my life visiting him a whole lot easier lol.

Went to give this place another chance and had some time to kill before the bus came. Got the new Caramel Ribbon Crunch and a friend got the Mocha Cookie Crumble. Here’s the breakdown. Caramel Ribbon Crunch They still make TERRIBLE caramel. Extremely bitter. The only good thing about the drink were the random pieces of sweet crunchy caramel. If only they had poured a pound of that into the drink it would have tasted so much better. Mocha Cookie Crumble Tastes exactly like frozen black coffee. Super dark and the cookies were actually very powdery when sprinkled on top. There was just layers and layers of bitterness. The whip crème did not help at all. I don’t know if I would want to try this drink again at a different Starbucks.
