The chicken cesar salad was awesome. Very filling and very inexpensive. And when id order the half chicken plate it was never rubbery like other people say. Always juicy and just a great experience for me. Got the urge to go in for a plate today and i noticed it was closed. Im very saddened because i really liked the place. If anyone finds a star chicken around pass the address down i cant seem to find any other locations atm.

Yikes — I can’t believe this place is now closed. It was one of the few good places to grab a quick bite to eat. ¼ roasted chicken with two sides — jicama salad, corn on the cob was all I would get. The chicken was tasty, hot, and right off the rotisserie. They have 10+ sides for you to choose from. All yummy and somewhat healthy!

I came here for lunch a couple of times and opted to get my food to go since I was tight on time. The lunch specials here are well worth the price tag and the generous portions. I ordered the Santa Fe chicken wrap last time and it definitely had all the flavors I was hoping for. It got a little messy with the sauce, so if you dont like the dripping sauce all over your hands — might be better to ask for sauce on the side. The side of herb roasted potatoes were yummy — not too dry but no small crunch to it. Definitely needed some Tabasco love to it. Overall, great place to grab a bite — will be back to try more on the menu!

I’ve only had the salads here. I usually go with a Thai chicken salad. Some days it’s really fresh and tasty, some days the dressing tastes like nothing, not sure what going on there. They are pretty quick in terms of getting out your order, quicker than the rest of the overpriced restaurants at Howard Hughes. It’s usually my choice of food if I just don’t happen to bring lunch to work. The owner is a really nice guy and although I don’t visit very often, he always says hi and always remembers what I order.

I came here for lunch one day because I was working in the area. It’s tucked away inside the Howard Hughes center and Unilocal told me to give this place a try. First, they have a stamp card. If you are working near by, ask for one so you can get a free wrap after 10 purchases. Even though there’s usually a long lunch line, it moves fast and I get my order within 5 – 8 minutes. I’ve tried the chicken caesar, santa fe chicken wrap, thai chicken wrap and they’re all tasty. I would not say the tortilla they use is really that great… and the flavor is hit or miss on the day. However, it always hits the spot just right when you’re looking for something quick.

They have a lot of different choices of salads to eat here. Customer service was good and they never forget to give me my discount.

The food is always great! It’s a delicious, healthy alternative to other lunch places in the area. Daniel is very helpful and always cheerful! My prefer the Santa Fe Chicken Salad or the Steak Wrap! Both are really delicious ! You can see the food being made in front of you. There are lots of options to choose from! They have salads, wraps, pasta, potatoes, rice bowls, soup. There’s something for everyone !

Very mediocre The Chinese chicken wrap was over dressed and there was way too much bread to make it edible The green sauce was delicious but that was the only thing good I’m being kind with 1.5 stars

Wow, what a delight! Not only is the owner as cheerful as everyone says(made my day) but the food is excellent. I ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad, which is epic, and HUGE… it filled the to go container to the brim. The only thing I’d change about it is to get the dressing on the side; there’s no way I’m going to finish this in one sitting. I got the pasta salad also(I figured a salad wouldn’t fill me up, boy was I wrong) and it’s also super tasty(made with spaghetti though, which surprised me… doesn’t matter if it tastes good!). My coworker got the chicken with side(pasta salad). It doesn’t tell you when you’re just looking at the menu, but you can get ½ a chicken with a side(instead of the ¼ the normal comes with) for $ 1 more! The only thing I didn’t like about it is that you have to go into a mall-type-place to get there, but the parking is free for the first ½ hour and there’s spots up front for to go orders so it was pretty painless. Oh, and it’s hard to spot from the street… it’s above the Starbucks. The owner asked why I didn’t get delivery… I said, because we wanted it faster than the 45 – 60 min it says it would take on the website, and besides, I wouldn’t get to see his smiling face. He laughed a jolly big laugh(like you’d expect from Santa) and said they run more like 20 – 30 minutes to get an order. Sweet! I can’t wait to go back!

I’ve only gotten their delivery and it has always been spot on and delicious. Extremely affordable too! We usually order the Chinese chicken salad and their ½ chicken with sides. The chicken is extremely moist and flavorful and their flat bread is great too. The sauces are what really make their food stand out. I like to make little burritos with the flat bread and sauces. Delivery showed up in half the amount of time they quoted and everything was still hot on arrival. A good delivery spot to add to the rotation.

The Howard Hughes Center is such a convenient lunch spot for me since my office is right across the street, but there aren’t very many healthy or fresh options(Souplantation is pricey, Subway gets old). Star Chicken is an absolute gem. I have tried a bunch of their wraps, and haven’t disliked a single one. After hitting up Spectrum(gym) during lunch, I was in the mood for something light, so I got the original chicken wrap with a side of the spinach/feta pasta. It was delicious, and the owner Lavon is so sweet. I really want to try one of their hot chicken bowls, my coworkers say that it’s one of their favorites on the menu. And the vast variety of sides is also a plus. From pasta to a cucumber/tomato salad, there is something for everyone. Make sure you get a punch card!

OK, first of all I am a vegetarian. So, you might be wondering what a vegetarian is doing writing a review for Star Chicken. Well, that is the best part! You can get all of their salads/wraps without meat! And they are fantastic on their own. Not only that but they are super fresh and tasty. Plus, the owner/manager is like the friendliest guy ever. He brightens my day every time I go in.

My go to place for lunch or dinner when I have class at Pepperdine across the street. Their chicken is moist and well marinated, their cucumber salad is yum, and the prices are very reasonable. Yay!

So Josh G., Janice G., and I were starving and didn’t feel like going out for dinner. We ordered delivery from this place. I’d say the pros are fast delivery, good presentation, and good variety of ingredients. However, the cons outweigh the pros for me. We all ate in silence, not quite sure what exactly was off about our order. I was the first to point out that the tortilla from our chicken wraps tasted dry and stale. Immediately, they all agreed. And even though mine had honey mustard, it was bland! The sauce just wasn’t enough to make a good tasting chicken wrap! Maybe this place just isn’t the place to get food delivery!

The chicken here is kind of a el pollo loco/rotisserie style. They have wraps, bowls, and plates. You can get quarter chicken, half chicken, whole chicken etc with different sides. I ordered the half chicken with 2 sides. They have a good selection of sides but no one in my group particularly liked any of the sides so… I got the herb roasted potatoes which was mediocre and the spinach/feta pasta which was not good at all. The chicken itself was pretty tasty and the salsa and cilantro lemon yogurt sauce they provide were both really good. Overall, I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here but it’s a solid lunch option for people that work in the area.

It’s just okay. I’ve had a bowl, wrap, and rotisserie chicken. It doesn’t compare with California Chicken Café. Also, they need better sides. I’d eat here again, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Disappointed. This place should have been at least 3 stars at best. The bread being used for the wraps is not bread, its leather. It was so tough to bite in to and tear off that I gave up and unwrapped it and finished it with a fork. There’s not much else to say about Star Chicken except that they also offer salads, bowels and your basic sandwiches. Next time Ill bite the bullet and walk across to the fish taco joint.

This place deserves more customers I can see why no one knows about this little hole in the wall since it is semi hidden but really this place has some pretty juicy chicken that is amazing. It is quite small with not that much seating inside the restaurant, but you could sit outside as well. I ordered ¼ chicken for myself and after devouring it within minutes I really wish I ordered the ½ and was debating after I finished my chicken if I should go and just order another one ! Such a fattie I know !! Well if you ever go around this area and shop at Nordstroms Rack a good place to stop by is Star Chicken. The sides are pretty good and the flavor is nice and clean. I don’t feel like it is at all greasy or oily.

Had a hankering for some Star Chicken. Seriously, their rotisserie chicken has a fabulous flavor, really good, cooked well, fresh blah blah blah… Had my nails done across the plaza and then hopped on in to see Lavon at Star Chicken. Got ½ chicken with a caesar salad. Their caesar dressing is delicious! Chicken is satisfying, good protein dose! This is one of my go-to places.

Why oh why can’t there be more of these places? It was the perfect lunch when I went to school nearby, but now I have to travel 45 min to get here. And I still come. Isn’t that testament to how great I find their chicken caesar wrap? I order it without tomatoes and with extra croutons. You won’t be disappointed. The«croutons» are these magical little chips things that just add the perfect amount of crunch.
