Always good. Always consistent. Very limited outdoor seating if you trying to meet up with friends. This is a great place to go if you’re on the go and need a quick coffee. Top quality!

No more Blue Bottle. They’re using a local roaster now: Handsome Coffee. It’s delicious, and the folks who work here are very knowledgeable and pour a wonderful cup of joe. But if you want to buy beans to brew at home, it’s going to cost you about double what the Blue Bottle beans did.

Went to this place because I decided to boycot Handsome Coffee Roasters and their ridiculous prices. I got a Blue Bottle Roasted medium sized drip coffee for $ 2.50, better tasting and about half the price of Handsome!

First off a big BOOO to the girl and her fucking decaf. anyway… I dig. I love educated people who care about what they do. Delicious coffee made by people that know how to make it and make it taste good. Done

Now that is one gooooood cup of Joe. Sure, it’s a tiny hole in the wall spot. Sure, they are overzealous when it comes to the brew. And somehow, watching the whole thing go down in slow motion till the cup fills up with swirling caffeinated goodness… man, was that drool on my lower lip? I’m addicted. Don’t laugh at me while I’m at my «dealers» crib, er, storefront. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

They stopped serving Blue Bottle. I’m heartbroken. They did however, start serving Handsome Coffee that’s a little more local. It’s good stuff. Same great staff.

Blue Bottle Coffee is one of the things I love about visiting San Francisco. Now it’s one of the things I love about living in LA. There are a lot of good coffee places to choose from, but I haven’t had a better cappuccino in Los Angeles than at the Spring for Coffee Fashion District branch. Walk up, order yourself a cappuccino and be on your way. You will not regret it. Good lord. You’ll want a big gulp sized one, but luckily for your nervous system they come in a sensible small cup.

I always forget about this place but my tailor is located a few doors down. I’ll be walking out, all grumpy that I need to get 80 million things hemmed because even Banana Republic uses cheap hems that fall down these days, and then this big smile will spread across my face. Delicious coffee. Yes. Served with a side of friendly. Double yes! The place is tiny and so you don’t come here to sit or do work on your laptop but — as every other reviewer has pointed out — it serves Blue Bottle Coffee out of San Francisco. See this, from the Blue Bottle Founders: «I will only sell coffee less than 48 hours out of the roaster to my customers, so they may enjoy coffee at its peak of flavor. I will only use the finest organic, and pesticide-free, shade-grown beans.» Also, they use compostable bags. Coffee snobs and hipsters rejoice! I can’t call myself a true coffee snob because I not so secretly enjoy making cups of freeze dried hazelnut Nescafe at home(what?! It makes me nostalgic about growing up overseas). However, I can call myself a person with taste buds and those taste buds report that the coffee here is really really good. The guy working there is the nicest ever and he will proudly show you his fancy coffee machine and wait in eager anticipation while you sample the delicious brew he just made. His enthusiasm is catching. Next time I get some clothes altered, I will definitely be back.

Awwwww I hate giving less than stellar reviews to local shops. I’m a nice person, and this place is probably pretty good, so I hate to hate on it a little. This place is literally a hole in the wall — maybe 10 feet across in the entrance, so it’s super easy to miss. Really friendly staff, space is beyond tiny, but otherwise looked like a really legit coffee shop. I asked for a decaf latte, and they just… don’t have that. They don’t have decaf anything. I’m pretty much always addicted to caffeine, so it’s essential that I detox myself from it a few times a year(otherwise I can’t function without several pots a day and that gets ridiculous, and expensive). Right now I’m on a detox, so I just couldn’t get anything there. At a coffee shop. Stunned, I apologized to the nice staff, turned around, and walked the block and a half to Starbucks. But I wasn’t happy about it. Maybe I’ll re-review this place once I’m on caffeine again but c’mon. A coffee shop without anything decaf? Uncool.

Coffee magic on Los Angeles St — it’s awesome when the best coffee in the neighborhood does’t come from Starbucks. This brewnactually has flavor.

Not only is the owner a nice guy, and we should support local businesses, but the prices are fair. Also, it’s the only place, I know of in Downtown, that serves Blue Bottle Coffee. What this means is, you don’t have to go to SF(although there’s nothing wrong with going to SF!). This place is small, and there’s some outside seating. I prefer the one on Spring St, but this one serves a purpose. They serve Blue Bottle!
