This place is supposed to be a community center. Too bad the director Marie is not interested in letting anyone from the community use the space. I had permits for a community service group to meet in the space. I tried to pay for the permits 3 times. Marie explained she could not accept any sort of payment because«The government is a beauracracy». Thank you, if I wanted lessons on politics from someone who is completely underqualified I would have spoken to the homeless guy that harasses me when I get my coffee. When we showed up to use the space the 4th time(this time with cash) Marie refused to let our group in at the hour stated on our permit. She instead left as soon as she saw us on the lawn and sent out a woman who had been hired a day before. The woman was clearly put into an awkward situation said we needed to wait for the after school program to clear out. That’s fine, I took the school aged group of girls to hang out in the park next to the«Community House». When we returned Marie had of course left for the night and the woman who had meet us earlier said she was not authorized to accept payment. She also told us Marie had sent the staff home. It seemed like this was done on purpose so that our group would not be able to use the facility. I can’t say I am surprised that this government employee is bad at her job. I simply don’t see the satisfaction in taking things out on 12 year old girls.
